Finally i can throw that FSR car in the trashbin.

Fsr version is wrong scale and has some weird details like fuel cap on both sides.

Any chances for LODs? It would be amazing, in any case, thanks anyway

Im not shure if its really needed. Out of 421k tris full model, HR cockpit is about 300k so when it switches to LR cockpit which is pretty soon its only 100k. Do You really experience some frame drops with it?

Preview generation is working as it should for now, didnt test anything else.

did you try generating previews for all skins using the "Update previews" button ?
That still gives wrong results (all previews have the skin of the very first skin, it is like the dds files are not read for each skin first one is re-used ... )

If I do 1 by 1 , it works ... but pfffff that is a hassle!

Didn't tested it yet. With 32+ degrees in my room during this crematorium summer i stopped playing AC since at least 2 months. But for precedent testing with my setup, no lods means bad performances or less cars on track to avoid fps drops (with a super CPU but with an older GPU the bottleneck is served).

Is there a fix for the asphalt at Varano getting transparent on some parts of the circuit?

Settings → Custom Shaders Patch → Graphics Adjustments


Look for the section:


Fixes for common content issues


Then disable the option related to drawing grooves / dynamic entities. Depending on your CSP build it can be named something like:

Draw Grooves for Dynamic Entities

I Don't know what happens with performance after disabling it, but it looks like this help on varano.



Or put ext_config.ini into Tracks extension Folder

You need LODS. You'll be rendering an full model with interior everywhere on track.

Lods will arrive within next update. You are wrong though, all distant cars 7m from Player will be rendered with Low res interior, which is much lighter.

Yes, and so far only one car I had to update one by one.
And VRC Tourer wont even try to update

Had a reply from Ilja, CSP preview generation is still being worked on, some aspects don't perform correctly atm.

Completely forgot to come here with my findings. About the disalignment isue, looks like turning this off alignment in world-space helps.

However I found yet another issue, seems to be specific to VRC cars which are hanging during preview generation. I'll just put a print of my report on CSP's discord to make it easier:

Thanks, @jlung; adding the code from the file you shared to the end of the ext_config.in file used for this track (I have the Sliderman one, with lighting, rain, grass, etc.) solved the asphalt problem without uncheck "Draw Grooves for Dynamic Entities". The only slight drawback is that these parts of the track reflect too much the sunlight. I suppose the reflection can be adjusted with a bit more code, but I don't know how; It seems to me that is needed the use of some spell that includes the words "specular", "fresnel", "wingardium", and "alohomora", but I failed the Dark Arts course, and I have no idea how to use them...

Aarrgh....sorry guys. ACUIR is the alternative GUI you can install which looks more modern, like in ACC.

I think it came to a hold after v 0.9.6.2

Its been ages since he worked on it and the new CSP GUI does everything ACUIR does now, execpt looking like AC EVO

I don't have this issue. Instead I had stange shadow on the horizon which I fixed adding to ext_config.ini:

Sorry... you're going to hate me with me for sending you bugs always... 😅

Driving in first person, you can see a unnatural subtle shadow through the windows (a dotted texture, that looks very outdated) that changes position as you drive (sometimes it's on the front windshield, sometimes on the side windows), which is very noticeable against a clear sky... It's hard to see the screenshots, but here it is...

Have I already thanked you for sharing? 😁

See below, the steeringwheel pops out of the monocoque when turning to the right (turning left does not do this).
BTW, this occurred in replay using F3. Hope you can sort this. Thank you again for your efforts in getting this Acura released!

Did you ever try to completely reset the CSP settings?

Goto /Documents/Assetto Corsa/cfg/ rename the "extension" folder to something different.
Restart CM. It will create a new "extension" folder. You can restore it later.

There is also a critical thing for VR:
The openvr_api.dll you are using in the /system/x64 and x86 folders

I use the openXR dlls (attached)
Those were a really critical point in VR for me in AC/CSP. So i use this one.
What i discovered back then, you must also change the x86 dll if you install different files there. If you don't do that, there will be a crash sometimes.

Backup the older files!

Hi Peter. I have now tried the extension folder idea and installed the new Openxr dlls as you explained. Unfortunately still the same.
Please see attached messages I get after the crash/freeze or VRscreen.

There is mod from "authentic simulation" that is a modder that is known but the site seems shady
"All Authentic Simulation Assetto Corsa projects require ModLauncher."
On the mod i'm interested there is a mention of a modlaunche . I'm used to buy mods from VRC, RSS or URD and use them in content manager but never that "modlauncher"
is it legit site?

Yes i have used it. As far as i know its all legit. Its a bit of a pain having to launch the mod launcher each time you want to run the car but it works fine. I hope this helps.

Is it legit? It seems so, but if I were you I’d avoid it. First rule on the internet: never give access to your accounts to any service that isn’t trustworthy.
