Hey guys- any ideas why the headlights are silvery- they were fine before and work on someone else's pc. Is it a refraction thing?

I have now found a car where I think the sound of it can well be used for the Manta. It might not be 100% perfect either, but I prefer it to have the totally wrong sound of an Alfa.

Did you test it on the Manta or only driven the Calibra with its sound

i find the sound not matching the rpm's, the Calibra has higher rpm's in the engine.ini file, not sure if you have to use those, noob here lol

i don’t mind the sound it has now but for a purist it must be perfect :)

I would rather have a more tolerant physics, car breaks away to easy or I have to do more laps to warm up te tires

Btw see my posting on the previous page
seen your dm’s. Answer asap

I have been away from VR racing for quite some time, obviously, because when I undusted my headset to take the Littlebird for a quick spin at Vålerbana yesterday, I discovered that I cannot get VR running with CSP 0.3.0.

I have a Pimax Crystal Light, Pimax as OpenXR runtime, running OpenComposite and OpenVR in CM. Everything updated as it should.

With CSP 0.3.0p140 or p302, the game starts briefly, then just crashes and quits. With 0.2.11 everything works perfectly. Do I recall reading something about this here, or have I been dreaming again? I can't find any hard evidence that this should be a problem, but I want to check before I set heaven and hell in motion to try and get it working...

Can Pimax run SteamVR? just as a test. not with my rig right now, but VR works better than ever for me on the newest CSP. (Reverb G2 with Oasis driver)

just a hint
ppl struggle with my cars on 0.3
because it can't handle lua scripts well

Yes, SteamVR runs properly. Perhaps I should retire OpenComposite... But I never quite got the hang of the OpenVR motion compensation, the OpenXR one is much easier to use.

It seems like the suspension is completely separated from the wheels. And that's unfortunate, overall the car looks good.

Hello everyone! Sorry if it's a silly question, but how does one get in touch with Bazza, author of the ACL/GTC/TCL mods? I couldn't find an email on the mod's PDF files.

I'm having a strange issue with the tire scrub sounds in this car. In general, when I start a session, those sounds are absent, but if I change to a different weather type in-game with the weather planner, the tire scrub sounds are suddenly present again (most of the time).

Also, I don't have idle sounds in the cockpit, only in external positions. I'm using the latest CSP, but I had the same issues with the previous preview build of CSP.

An odd one.

I have been testing AI lap times with different CSP versions in order to find the most competitive for me.
I am interested to know if anyone else has noticed that AI has become slower (1 second slower per lap at Brands Hatch Indy with Caterham 420R) with any CSP above v0.2.4 ??
You can test this by beginning a Hotlap then pressing CTRL-C (computer controlled car).

Test setup below:
Track: Brands Hatch Indy lap time=53.7 seconds with v0.2.4 / laptime=54.7 above v0.2.4.
Car: Caterham 420R 2020 (Ben O'Bro)

Did something change with CSP after 0.2.4, as this is the last fast AI version ?

Yes, that's true. There's no idle sound. Furthermore, the ext_config was taken from another car and contains a lot of unnecessary stuff.

I noticed they were slower on CSP 3.xxx than on 2.12.

"Extended physics" is definitly something to uncheck first, but i'm wondering what's going on as well.

another thing i notice is that when ai is controlling player car (ctrl+c) is always faster by 1 second from other ai with same mods/cars

Using ctrl-C, the AI has a 100 aggression level by default. Being more reactive, it can navigate thru other AIs on the track a little faster.

It would lose its mind on technical bits and heavy brakings once alone on the track. It is a test situation to tweak the ai.ini file with edgy inputs🙂, which would be a complete mess if you were to have all ai cars with the same setting (i tried).

AI whisp already has a setting to match that behavior ("turn boost aggression") where the AI would get its aggression level up in corners for better reactivity while keeping it at normal level on corners' entry to avoid errors. It's efficient, but i had to tune it down a little to regulate AIs on technical corners, and it still sucks when multiple cars are engaged in the same corner (first lap still being atrocious with the available version of AIwhisperer).

I'm gonna post an update where we can exploit that with gaspedal as well, meaning AI can now drift and exit corners full gas. Even with the worst cars scenarios (let's say, AE86 on Magione), i can't reach AI's pace anymore. Even on bad fastlanes the AI seems to be 2 to 5 seconds faster with the tweak. Other upside is it makes making good fastlanes way easier, as the tweak would optimise the throttle inputs on the go rather than following the fastlane data.

I'm still running tests to make cars like the 1958 Porsche 356 to engage sideways and maintain drift all along. Those are gonna be the hardest to script.

Hello guys, I'm having an issue with the handbrake/clutch... I'm not really sure what is actually going on but my blue bar (next to the throttle and brake input) is always full on and I can't get any revs. I've tried with multiple cars, tracks, but the problem remains. Also, I'm driving with a controller but there's also the same issue when I switch to keyboard/mouse. I've already tried to invert the throttle, brakes, clutch, map a different button for the handbrake, deactivate it, turn off the extended physics option and lastly downgrade my CSP (now I'm on 0.2.11).

I'm getting desperate as just yesterday everything was working

Anyway, thanks if you know how to solve this mess.

Sometimes deleting the Assetto Corsa folder in My Documents helps.Yes, you will lose some settings, but this will also eliminate the accumulated errors.
