Can’t really advertise or show off a car without a livery, so might as well make a livery that somewhat represents an irl one. That’s pretty much it.
OK, makes sense - but you could make just one fake one and not a whole set. Anyway, I'm sure you all know what you're doing, I just found it a little odd and wasteful. :)

So true twin, I really would have liked to see more of the DPs.

I too am highly interested in these cars, but as was mentioned a while back I don't know that they're really obtainable because they're league exclusive. (Why this is a thing when you can simply sell the mod is beyond me.) If somebody wants to try and obtain the car pack for their league though you can try contacting them as stated here.

I look like this and say this.

URD to my knowledge kind of does this, in that their painters work on the real skins while the car is indev. MS6driver has released skins for the Mustang on it's release, and for the 296 and M4 Evo too I believe.
if you believe ms6driver is partner, then no
he's part of the team

on the subject of ai ,is it possible that if in data folder you have ai_tyres.ini the ai actually pit when tires wear ?i was working on extra tires (soft/medium/hard) for rss cars and after testing on 40 laps race with ai i notice as usually most ai didnt pit when tires wear but the ones i added ai_tyres.ini with values similar to MAX_KM=80 [M]MAX_KM=150 [H]MAX_KM=300 they actually pit ,some even switch to medium compound

I know, I said painter. Seeing as how English likely isn't your first language, I can understand the confusion, so to clarify I just meant he does their skins to my knowledge.

afaik, ay_tyres.ini is used to make the initial tyre choice. It is an estimation of the number of km you could do with this tyres compound so that AC can choose wich compound it should start with. Say MAX_KM= 35 and your session has a 10 laps at Spa, it won't choose them at start of the race.

It is near but different from the virtual_KM that is computed in ac.CarState, using the tyre.lut which takes into account how you drove the car (spinning wheels, skidding...) which is then displayed as the tyre wear level you see on the HUD .

This tyre wear is what I use in DumbAI app to make car go back to pit to change tyres dynamically, based on the HUD threshold where the tyres become "red".

I made several tests to explore this and checked that bots have also tyre wear during the race and their laptimes seem also to suffer from it but it seems they do not go back to pits by themselves in native AC to change tyres. I never went up to the point where the tyres wear would make the tyres explode but I believe this may be possible with the data I saw, at least I believe tyre wear and tyre life do coexist.

The other thing I have seen, is some of the more casual skin painters on OT, using the faux skins as a base for, real skins. I guess the more folks you have over there, saying "This skin is for XYZ's Supercalafragilistic GT3. Buy it here (link)" the better, right? Helping the little guys to give you free advertising 😊

Ticking the ‘Extended-Physics’ checkbox for any misc. car is quite a bit different to the realm of ‘non-CSP’ vs ‘CSP’ that I was talking about. Specifically in the case of VRC cars, the non-CSP version will have incredibly simplified versions of suspension, tyres, and will have no lua physics script when compared to the CSP version. The CSP versions of our cars will often struggle with the more advanced suspension, aeromap changes, braking with its proper BBW implementation, ERS deployment, and a few other misc. items. While you can still get decent pace out of the CSP version’s AI, it’s not entirely as reliable as good ole non-CSP versions. Also, it is definitely car dependent, our BTCC/TA2 CSP versions don’t particularly struggle, whilst our hypercars and formula cars struggle the most in our lineup.
I'd really like to know how to disable manual ignition on older versions of the VRC Tourers.

How about this for an idea? Releasing the PSDs of the lookalike skins so that the fake sponsor logos can easily be isolated and quickly replaced by genuine ones. That way the underlying primitives can still be used by skinners, and sponsor logo placement and scale is already sorted and can be used as a guide.
Too sensible?

I fear that the main reason is also because 99% of the skinners (the quality ones) have Patreon, with which they release the real skins behind a paywall.

Not possible for now. When the tourers all get updated this year to the new physics script, then it will be possible.
How about on the TA2s and Prototypes?

Actually RSS does do this to an extent, VRC and URD I don't know about cause I haven't had the need to twink anything over from their templates yet.

Spot on.

Anyway still have to try the new RSS BMW car, since I got the pack anyway. URD seems to have a more aggressive cold tire/warm tire change over and the cold tire lap in the newer URDs are all kinda nail biting laps. Pretty fun. At some point amongst these new GT3 my preferences shifted from RSS to URD. The new ABS physics in the URD cars are kinda interesting.

But back to my usual complaints about these, we got all the GT3 cars to their Evo spec, still 0 Corvette....I guess people hate those cars because no GT1 Corvettes from RSS before neither...lol

But hey, Supertouring is awesome now.

Happy Easter everyone 🍬🐰🌺
A few months ago, I set up a custom championship, "FIA GT '03," using the RSS mod "fia gt legend champions."
I've now installed csp 0.3.0p338. I wanted to run the championship, but I noticed that, for no reason, the sound of the cars on the track is completely compromised... What happened?

Anyone able to check if this livery is alive and just locked behind this awful website?

By the way on the topic of "brake pedal animated"

It's a free feature, the argument of "Yeah it's cool but it would have been better to focus on cosmic suspention" is not really an argument. Because the 3D guy has free time, he can spend it doing these animations. But he can't do physics. So it's not like that feature replaced the other alternative of a better product.

so if the feature exist, be happy or don't care. But don't be disappointed with the "That time should have spent done cosmic suspension"

No luck, i've tried it and all the skins are "hosted" in lava studios (they're all dead links)

and he move all the skins in this OT link

What is the best Pembrey track as of April 2026?

ASW: 163 mb
Dabaeda: 151 mb
All Along The track: 768 mb (although 2 trackls in 1, one fictional)

?

I've had a theory over a few years now that there are certain "preferred" or connected skinners out there for the different modding teams. The speed at which real skins come out for these cars is insane and simply not possible, but they are released on OT within hours of the car being launched. Take the AMS2 update for the F1 2016 cars this week, not even 24hrs and someone has the entire grid skinned, AI files done, everything. Same often with RSS and VRC releases of modern F1 cars, almost instantly there are real skins available for the full grid. There has to be people getting the templates and models for these cars prior to release in order to get this done. And its usually the same people who do it every time.
