How much did 1 year of Australian touring car's cost you?

My rule of thumb (broadly applicable across categories) is you need to budget approximately whatever the car cost to buy to run it for a season. If car is $40K, expect to spend around $40K per year.

Obviously a lot of variables that drive that up or down, but it holds true as a rough order of magnitude for a lot of owner-driver racing (can’t imagine it comes close for pro teams with tens or hundreds of employees…).

Hi, I'd like to make a comment: I installed the Pescara circuit created by "italotrascks."
Even though all the graphics settings, and more, are at minimum/off, I can only race with ONE car. A race with two cars crashes the game.
This has never happened before; is it such a heavy mod? 😣😱😅


I'm having this problem with a custom championship where I use RSS GT mods. I've changed several CSPs and disabled the option you mentioned, but there's nothing I can do; the problem persists.

Good evening, I'm having a problem with the Pescara circuit: some cars work fine, but others crash the game, returning to the CM screen. Perhaps there's a conflict between the car mod and the circuit mod.
Has anyone had this problem, even on other tracks?
Is it a fixable problem, and if so, how? Thank you very much.

This is a massive improvement! The lighting flow looks so much cleaner and professional.

As someone who spends way too much time staring at cars in the CM Showroom to fix materials, the default reflections can definitely make things look 'lumpy' when they aren't. Your bespoke texture fixes that perfectly. The preview image looks fantastic.

Are you planning on sharing/releasing this setup anywhere? I know a lot of us modders would absolutely love to use this as our default showroom environment!

yes there is a plan to released it in Overtake GG once I'm done making all the necessary preview

Oh yes true true! I totally forgot about this one. Yeah to be honest, I really tried to play with one but it's really not decent at all. The windshield is super weird so it's distrubing when driving it and the physics, I tried to tweak it to be ok but I wasn't able to make something decent enough to race it with others LMP1 of 2011.

Yeah that car was a bit of a mess, a lot of missing textures, had to dig around a bit, and compromise on some others but I think it works better now, no missing textures. It was more than just the cockpit area that was messed up. Also generated some LODs for you as well, should help with a full Le Mans grid Probably needs gearing sorted but I'm sure you can sort that out?

Just replace your current folder (updated previews as well):

Since I've had my CSL Fanatec 8nm i've really struggled with AC. Just cant get it feeling like how my TX did, which I know is very weird, in AMS2 and RF2 its transformed those games, totally, to the point AMS2 seems to me like a new game and dare i say it some of the cars FFB and feeling is sublime.
So last night i set my FFB in fanalab to 3.9 nm, similar to old TX. And its back again, AC feels like AC again.
This must be because surely i've been 4000hrs and 9 odd years playing AC on a TX and to much familiarity with lower forces.
Or is there more to it? What sort of DD wheels were available to average consumers 10 years ago? Was AC developed to work with TX type wheels? I don't know, all i know is AC feels like AC to me again now.
Anyone else use a CSL?

Same wheel used for a couple of years and used TX before. Now using ( Alternative ffb extended ) and for me it is a game changer.
Available on Overtake, do NOT try latest version. It kind of peeked at 1.8 and the detail when dialed in is amazing imho

I've never had that issue with Pescara personally, if you try a field with just Kunos cars does it do it?

Some Kunos mods work, some don't. The same goes for external mods... 🙃

I tried with "new AI behavior" on/off, but there's no difference. I'm not sure which specific options to disable...🙃

In this case the issue is not related to "new AI behavior"... stupid question: did you try to play with the section disabled, or did you simply disabled and enabled it and then tried playing?

When you don't know what the hell is happening to AC, try to reset CSP to its defaults:

• rename the /Documents/Assetto Corsa/cfg/extension folder (just to have a backup)
• restart CM (a new folder will be generate with CSP defaults)

(if it doesn't work delete the new generated folder and revert the backup)

I’m going to tell my life (who cares lol) but the Peugeot 908 2011 is my childhood car, the first Le Mans I watched when in was a little kid and the battle between the R18 TDI and the Peugeot was crazy, only 13 seconds gap after 24h race. I beg you for some help. It's been a while since I bought Porsche DLCs I-II-III through Steam and I still can not play with Porsche cars like Porsche 911 GT1-98 or Porsche 962 C Short Tail.

Does anyone know how to fix this error? If I'm not mistaken, the only way to drive these Porsche cars is through these DLCs. I share some pictures with you.

595 Update - Tweaked light refraction (front light refraction nm share int and ext parameters by @Den_88). For the rear lights, now you can barely see the light bulb with a better glass emissive.

Did you make an integrity check with Steam?
right mouse click on "Steam/library/assetto corsa" icon
goto "Properties/insalled files" and press "Files integrity check"

NOTE: I don't have Steam with english language, could be something slightly different.

Glad it worked for you!

Yeah that was a golden era of Le Mans, a great race too in 2011, Peugeot redeeming itself after the disaster of 2010 and Audi having a complete disaster but somehow holding on with 1 car.

So how does it look? is it an improvement or a downgrade, feel free to critique

Honestly to me it looks like a version of ClearGT but the lighting is way more dull and every car looks like it has "candy" paint from Gran Turismo somehow.

I wish ClearGT was still updated and not abandoned because it's kind of broken on new builds (the background colour is off now for example) and I'd like a version or edit of it that works for generating previews with CSP for cars that have config issues with normal previews, but keeps the nice pre-rendered look of everything.

Also for some reason the ground becomes blurry when using CSP to generate previews when using reflections. So that's another bug I've never really been able to understand.

It frustrates me how difficult it's been to find a nice one size fits all solution to doing something as simple as generating car previews

Hi Sim Racer, I've done a lot of experimenting and I'm still not quite there! 🤬
I think the latest CSP build is very good overall, but while the grass has finally improved, there's this LOD at very low levels where the full grass only appears at a short distance and there's no way to change any value (@Peter Boese, in the video you'll see what I was saying yesterday), which creates an ugly effect in my opinion. It's the same problem with the shadows of the nets chasing each other, a problem that I don't think can be solved at this point.

I'm asking here, but no one will be able to answer. Is there a way to change the grass's LOD distance?

hi , was trying to search if there is any answer to this yet ...
(I tried a search on the number of the post #151,287 to find if there are replies, but it didn't work, even the post itself is not showing... I sure hope they soon implement a better function for searching replies to a certain post, because it is not easy to find now!)

So has anyone found any fix for the grass generating in plain sight? (really annoying , esp in VR this is the main immersion breaker now!)
