Karjala Raceway v1.0

A (fictional) 5.25 km / 3.28 m circuit set in the dark forests of northern Finland.
The track was originally built as a test track for the team Karjala Racing.

Therefore, the track is designed to have a mix of fast and slow sections. It has
fast sweepers, a slow hairpin, a variety of different corner types and combinations.
Add to that a 1 km long front straight, and quite a run down track surface, making
it a real challenge! (from NR2003 readme)

Conversion from GTR2.

Update dropping this weekend for the DTM 2002 mod Version 1.2. Key focuses are on collider.ini and aerodynamics. To fix the issue with cars bottoming out and issues riding curbs. Furthermore, light fixes.
 
Updated the MGBGTs... Color was way too saturated, grime was too transparent (and wrong). 2toned the paint to avoid the AO color banding trash. Added #76 in red, updated the suits.

I need your help. I found this semi-permanent track in Punta Alta. It's functional for Assetto Corsa, but it needs more than just the track layout. How can we create a "background"?

Latest CM (0.8.2870.40270) crashes (freezes) when files are dragged into it. Anyone else with the same issue?
I have also 0.8.2870.40270 (x86) running on Windows11... I can drag and drop and installs fine without crashing...
Maybe only an issue on Win10 ?

Anyone knows how to fix the weird reflection on the ocean just before you go into the tunnel?

Question is there a better version or updated Morocco Ain Diab 1958 track made by @godzillarocks & RMi. I suppose the RMi here is the same as @RMi_wood at GTpl. The actual version I have is btw the 1.0!

Same RMi... I did not convert it or choose it to be converted.
I did help with things like:
  • AI fixed, now working
  • AI PIT added
  • sand / grass fixed
  • purple skin baked as default
  • many shaders adjusted
  • working audio
  • 5 cameras
  • UI updated, Geo, bk loader, logo
  • VAO added
  • lots of other stuff

I can say for myself no plans of improving as my efforts have already been applied.
 
Does anybody else have issues with the AI not wanting to drive certain CSP cars? Some specific VRC and RSS cars are giving me this issue with the latest CSP preview, I don't know if it's something on my end or if it's just something that won't be fixed until Ilja marks 3.0 as stable.

in what way ?
to keep it simple i will speak just for rss gt3 mods
0.2.11 built is fine
0.3 versions have issues ,more specific with phase 2 gt3 mods drive by ai (ctrl+c)
0.3.0 p361 ai as opponent was ok but not with ctrl+c
0.3.0 p45 most mods drive by ai opponents cant stick on the fast lane ,there faster than before but unfortunately half cant even finish a race because of how bad they drive

New 0.8.2879.40455 is out, it fixes the freezing.

• Hardware lock for OpenFFBoard, thanks to Ultrawipf;
• CM bindings should work better with multiple devices, thanks to chrisraff;
• Custom Showroom: maximum pattern size increased to 4096, thanks to Marco01ok;
• Copyright year updates automatically, thanks to Conor94;
• Option to disable loading images in online servers descriptions, thanks to MrXANA91;
• List of online servers shows actual number of connected players, filters “d”, “drivers” and “players” updated as well;
• Sorting by name of online servers should work a bit better;
• New option allowing to see and rate online servers for other players to see (very experimental);
• Quick Drive: more modes are moved into the list, now additional modes can be pinned;
• Better support for custom online servers, filtering out empty online slots and such;
• Single-socket ping thing rewritten to improve performance, stability and pinging results, now with extra settings if needed;
• Better compatibility with Wine, transparency in windows is disabled automatically;
• Server admins can configure extra downloads to verify user Steam IDs;
• Updating of CM data should work a bit more reliably if folders are opened somewhere;
• Few more tweaks to improve images loading;
• Few smaller fixes and optimizations.

Short question: I'm struggling getting smoke to work in CSP/PURE (All latest).
It is however visible in rearview mirrors but not externally. Someone out there who can inform me what to adjust and also where in CSP (Screenshots may do well). Thanks much in advance.

Updated the Lotus Type 23 Cosworth Mk XII.
Graphics changes:
Skins optimized, missing shadows under opponents' cars (first-person view) fixed when Extra FX was enabled.
Physics changes:
Now the car feels like a completely different car, as almost every parameter has been adjusted: axle geometry, aerodynamics, suspension, tires, etc.

Any idea what all the badges/stickers are on the rear wing of this new release by godzillarocks 1968 Brabham bt23c. I'm looking recreate to as it should look.

With 3.0 (any version seemingly) the VRC LMDh cars and the RSS Supreme 25 and one of the Formula Hybrids don't leave the pits ever. The VRC cars I think work with ctrl+c but the RSS ones do not. I did notice a lot of cars flying off track recently too lmao. The RSS GT3 cars I think were fine but I haven't really paid attention to that recently. Disabling the new AI behavior made no change to any of these cases, but again, could be something else on my end. So, if somebody on csp 3.0 wants to see if those cars leave pits for them, we could eliminate the possibility.

A little clarity. Yes, everything is very confusing with my Lotus 23 models/versions, I'll try to clarify the situation.
Initially, I made exactly the model/version from today's post, although it was then called the Lotus Type 23 Cosworth (now it's the Lotus Type 23 Cosworth Mk XII):
Configuration - Ford Cosworth 116E Mk XII.
Displacement - 1,594 cc.
Power - 140 bhp @ 6,500 rpm.
Gearbox - Hewland Mk III 5-speed.
Max speed - 240 km/h.
Power to weight ratio - 0.30 hp/kg.
Wheelbase - 2,296 mm.
Weight distribution - 42/58.
Track - 1,308 mm, 1,273 mm.
Tires - 127/528 mm, 165/584 mm.
Weight - 467 kg.
Initially, it was the only car I focused on, and I tried to make it as close as possible to the specifications presented on the website. Then I saw a video on YouTube about a version with a modern aero package for hill climbing, so I made one. Then a version with a less powerful engine (than the main version) appeared, and then one with a more powerful one. But honestly, they didn't receive all the attention from me, and their main purpose was to serve as grid fillers for various car packs/sets.
Ultimately, the main car is the Lotus Type 23 Cosworth Mk XII (which was originally there, though it had a slightly different name). The other versions were, so to speak, grid fillers, and I ultimately abandoned them. Naturally, you can use any models and versions you like. But I would recommend you use the latest Lotus Type 23 Cosworth Mk XII. In my opinion, it's a significant improvement in the car's handling on the track compared to previous versions.
P.S. Just don't enable advanced physics for this car.
