In all seriousness though... Artificial Intelligence has been with us for a long time, mostly lurking in the background of tech-processes that we would not even be aware of, or have thought of - but now that it's literally in your face and rapidly taking momentous progression in all sorts of manner - it's inherently here to stay. On a personal level I wish to remain away from it, but workwise though, that's another story, I use it - not to cull down personnel, but to remove mundane & repetitive tasks, data-mining analysis, compute terabytes of info for rapid results, cluster anomalies, etc... In my opinion, AI does have a place in society alongside our species - it's the unintended consequences that spooks the bejesus in me. Being old school & all, I still play Pacman, Mahjong & the odd crossword now & then, table soccer (football), pinball, karting - meh, I still even skateboard after 30years - the longboard that is, can't get enough of the speed - now with safety gear though. Keep delivering your witty sense of humour, love the odd chuckle & smiles.

Totally agree with your sentiment in this regard... We've been using computer technology for circa 90 odd years, and for us that thoroughly enjoy Assetto Corsa, it's a wonderful thing & hope to be playing it with further improvements down the line, or at least before my toes permanently point skywards... The true artists that shaped the way we see the world today will remain the true Masters of all time (in my eyes at least) - Picasso, Dali, Matisse, Khalo, Braque, Van Goh, Mone, Da Vinci & the many more. Many thanks for the many contributions that you've made - all smiles.

And thank you for the time & effort undertaken doing these liveries - taking a break is a good thing - otherwise we'd burnout, cheers!

Now back to hand pick another classic livery for the beema...
thanks mate, same to you also thankyou for your work.

Yes, but it does not solve the issue, see how the grass looks compared to the trees.

But to be honest, the trees are much too dark! Didn’t you do that fix as an example for this tree fix app that uses shader replacements and such.
IMO those tress are way too dark now!

I mean there are nearly black and it’s kind of strange that the track receives sunlight and the trees looking like they are shot in a dark overcast weather.

I think this is already a rabbit hole where everything is turn down to a point where the ksDiffuse is like 0, and then it would be just better to drive in overcast weather.

Trees in the sun should look like in the post above yours, like this showroom .

Little question for F1 enthusiasts offline.

What's the average opinion about the f1 1999 pack?

They seem to be a declination of this car

I've been trying to make them race in single player's session, but they're some of the most unreliable pricks i've ever witnessed in AC when it comes to AI, which is saying something.

I've tried @Thockard 's fastlanes, @shi 's and @shin956's tracks, wherever i send them, they just either follow eachother or end up offtrack.

I've been thru their ai.ini, it's a weird combo there as well, although apart from their stupidly high aigrip value (which probably doesn't do anything anyway), it could be on the tolerance level.

I just wonder if it's worth trying to implement an ai script for them or if the base is not good to start with. I am a terrible f1 driver, but i' ve been asked to give them a try for offline improvment, and i can't understand why they snap so easily with AC's AI.

not sure about f1 1999 pack but i notice that after lights-patch-v0.3.0-preview338-full the ai is more prone to mistakes ,they dont stay close to the ai line or respect side lines and as a result they end up off tracks .

Oh definitly issues with csp 0.3 - i'm sticking with 0.2.11 for now.

I'm only asking about this particular mod quality because those issues are not happening as much with other fast cars. I have no issues with GT3, kunos F1s, or ASR packs, which clearly needs a hand for offline, but can at least run a few laps without going bananas.

On this matter (v0.3+), i've noticed sometimes the cars' pace was extremely fluctuent, on vanilla AI and online.

This seems to go a little deeper than i noticed : aiwhisp was having excellent results then all grid would drop 3/4s without any reason after a new session (sometimes myself included, sometimes not) : same race, same conditions, same grid. Incidents would become very frequent in those cases, with cars overshooting or going offtrack.

I thought it was a user setup problem until i saw the same stories for online, and confirmation it was randomly affecting offline as well, and discussed on the CSP discord

and

It was a little tideous to work on AI with this potentially in the way. CSP v0.2.11, at least, is extremely reliable for everything.

Thanks, but now I would like to understand why I can't download the files from "internet archive": it continues to say "0 bytes" even when changing browsers..😅
I just checked on my PC and those links do indeed download .zip files... but they can't be opened; seems to be empty.

I'm no expert, but I suspect the links on the page you shared (Internet Archives) try to download the files directly from the original website where the original files were located, and since Velo removed them, the result is simply that they're unavailable... 😐

I usually find the mods by 101 Creative to be pretty decent, but this one for me at least, is absolutely awful. The suspension and FFB seem to be all over the place - everything is just so bouncy! I drove it for less than a minute on Nords Tourist before having to call it quits. Anyone else experienced similar with this car? I really love this era of Evo too, so any recommendations for this car would be great.
