Sorry for your anger, but maybe you understand i just wanted to help you! I'm not included in CSP development neighter i put into something into CSP. So i was just curious what it could be on your side, but instead of ranting you just could have answered me my questions. And sorry you don't like the volumetric clouds, a decent amount of people like those and what is possible with them and btw, all of those volumetric clouds in games are looking like that. Imo Pure must not hide with its volumetric clouds and imo they look equal if maybe better than those in some other sims like AC Evo, IRacing or BeamNG. And sure the need more compute power. But that is what i can currently do for it. People asked for them and so i tried to include them in a certain way, but i had to learn more about CSP shader programming and optimizations.

And the Pure package is already 3.5 GB so i think that is enough. But i could make more skydomes for sure!

And btw, it was always the thing that i open Pure for other creators to build their own ppfilters and even shaders. I have a dedicated discord server to help them and connect them to solve problems and share ideas. So 50% of my time is doing support and community work and also trying to solve problems with CSP, but therefore i must know some things, but if you don't want that, it is not my problem actually. CSP is not my product, i'm just using it.

Idk what Ilja uses. I have a RTX 4090 and a i7 13700K mostly in balanced mode.
But thats why i developed the skydomes. THey are very efficient and nice. But there are also people which want moving clouds and more lively weather. So now you have the choice, and this is all about Pure 3.50. It has another option if you want that.

So if the people don't want me on this free forum, i can leave. I just wanted to clear things up and help with problems...
man, first of all i really like your effort of helping the community! ...but... i am an old school modder coming from GTR2,rF and AMS. back then modding was a community effort to improve and develop things by sharing stuff with others without any demands. With AC entering the market, this community died or it turned into something what i find deeply disgusting. This goes to all those little creepy Patreon f....ers who think that making a skin is worth paying for it. Like written before, some people have spent more money on all that stuff then they have paid for the game and that is insane! Truly AC is the best modded racing game out there today but i really hate what is has become, a money making machine for that Russian guy who invented that CSP thing and you all praise him for it. Wake up and think about how beautiful it would be, when you all share your **** with other racing sim enthusiasts for free just because the love of the game. Just my 2 cents about all that AC money making crap!

Peter is cool, always has been. You know who we aint heard from? Ilja. I can only assume that the best forum for AC modding is monitored by the man himself, but he stays silent. Why? I would assume that once he posts anything he will be bombarded by questions, overwhelmed with PM's and the internet will explode. But, dude. This is now your game. Talk to your people.

AI started creating weid things with the fastlanes about a year ago. Monaco 2017 used to be flawless and for whatever reason cars started to hit the walls. When the AI cars were going to Interlagos ACU pit (I use this mandatory pitstop system in my seasons) they started to hit the barrier before the pit. Also not even Kunos F2004 did stay on the track on Kunos Nurburgring GP lap.

Then you have these pitlane things where cars started to crash to the walls in uncontrollable fashion (when returning to the pit).

All these things started to happen out of the blue.

I don't know if these are CSP or CM related but those stopped my interest in modding. It could be CM too with some "new AI setting" being a default now?

Being a F1 enthusiast I switched to F1 2020 and F1 2021 to get my fix. I haven't even loaded up any F1 mods because of these new issues. No idea whether the problems still there or not though.

Personally, I don't care about graphics at all. 0.179 and SOL was good enough for me already. But those AI fastlane and other issues are horrendous and should be the main priority.
I had always assumed, for the past 3-4-5+ years, that the priority for AC's community development should be:

  1. Rain/Wet Weather Physics. Don't even worry about AI yet, just get wet weather physics for the player in a usable place first.
  2. Online Netcode/Server Browser redesign to drive online play/concurrent users, currently too clunky and dated
  3. AI driver behavior and consistency. This includes believable wheel-to-wheel behavior, "human"-like mistakes/crashes (something he's begun to fiddle with), proper blue flag behavior (both of the passing and passed car), and very basic in-car methodology ("tyre management" mode, "qualifying" mode, "outlap" mode etc.).
  4. very basic pit strategies for longer single-player races. pretty nuts that CSP still doesn't have this.

That's it. Everything else should really not matter too much.

But I was wrong. We are clearly in the minority. There just must not be that much demand for these seemingly basic features.

I'm going to be honest: YOU can still do **** for free. YOU can still share **** for FREE. There is literally NOTHING stopping you.

Want to make your own CSP version for free? Then sit down, learn coding, and get to work.

Want to make your own Pure version for free? Again, sit down, learn coding, and get to ****ing work.

Same goes for skins, cars, tracks, apps, cereals, pocket pussies—the whole shebang!

Peter could literally pack his ****, delete his Patreon, delete all public versions of Pure, and vanish if he wanted to. Nothing is stopping him. But why should he? He provides us with THE best weather app for this game that we could literally ask for, all for a single dollar a month. If that isn't worth your time, simply stop using it and go back to whatever CSP/Pure/Sol version worked best for you.

Honestly, this kind of mentality is just weird. You are acting as if, just because people are getting paid, it's suddenly preventing you from doing the exact same thing yourself. You can be the change that you so very much demand, lol.

Nothing is stopping anyone from sitting down in a group chat and starting to code and learn together in their free time how to code, model, paint, etc, and then share it for free. Just like the "good" old days.

If, of course, you ignore the "bad" aspects of the old modding scene, where there VERY MUCH was secrecy, a lack of community effort, and the whole cake that supposedly is an issue with the AC community.

Peter is active in here and always responds to any issues we might have with Pure and does his best to provide a fix. Yet here some of you are, just attacking him for no reason other than being jealous that he figured out an easy money hack using his own learned skills, lol.

Alright, regarding latest update (0.3.0-preview542), I'm now getting crackling sound!! :scared:
But only when Spotify is playing. I only listen to music between session anyway.
Also having the 99% CPU occupancy warning while crackling sound occur, but looking at the task manager, CPU is at around 27/29%?? :odd:
