If you cannot get not many headshots with the default Sniper rifer anyone. Then don't unlock the M95, also i like my L85A1 a lot, its got great aiming with it.

Subject of the week:

Do you think they were right inlowering the ranks.

Damage seems higher and accuracy when full auto seems improved. Maybe it's just me, but i was getting a kill a minute after installing the patch and that was using the medic kit. A few shots at people and they were dust. Before i was struggling to get decent kill rates as medic. Now it seems different. G3 rocks single shot at range :)

I wasn't. The MEC's guns are screwed up now. They're not as accurate or as damaging as before.

The US ones are pretty sweet, and the Chinese are ok.
BTW, got a few hours into tonight.

Wake seems pretty d*mn sweet.

I wasn't commenting on how you were struggling with the game, you've clearly wasted many hours there, i was suggesting that you were struggling to grasp what i was saying. I guess you've proved it nicely again.
 
I've really got to get some ranks up now. Alot of guys are Corporals and that.

Need to get there so I can unlock the next medic gun.

I'm Gunnery Sergeant now at 105xx GS.

Got G36C, L85A1, M95, and PKM. Unlocked last night, and Wake Island is the ****.

I do believe EA made it far too easy to rank up. Maybe a couple thousand or more less GS required but not like 10K! :sick:

Aw well just seems the unlocks will be useless if everyone else has all of them. IF they want to keep the ranking system like this they better make new unlocks at very high ranks.

Got three badges last night. Good Conduct ribbon. Meterious Unit ribbon. Veteran Spec Ops badge.
 
Yeah i agree that it's less fun now that everyone has the unlocks. If you get sniped, you know it's a M95. See a guy with a heavy machine gun, you know it's a PKM etc.

Not as low as they made them. I went from "near Corporal" with a Global of ~8000 to a Staff Sergeant after the patch. According to bf2tracker.com, as of this morning, I've enough points to be a Gunney (but I don't think it is reporting it correctly, because I've read it's 10k to be a gunney now)

I can see lowering the requirements so that most people get a rank, but THREE? Too much gratification too quickly, IMO.

Staff Sergeants used to be a rare sight on a server. Heck, when I first started playing in mid August, even seeing a Corporal was uncommon. Now a Corp may as well be a n00b.

I saw a Sergeant Major yesterday. (One rank lower then Sergeant Major of the Corps).

You know the M95 is not great at all. The M24 owns it. It's just a replace ment for the SVD and Type 88 to match up to the M24 if you are on MEC or China. I do believe why they made those unlocks. Like the G3 honestly it's the same power as the AK-101 and AK-47. So it's to replace the M16A2 which in testing took more shots to kill an enemy in all aspects then the AK-101, AK-47, and of course the G3. Not all are to replace other weapons that are powerful on another team but some are.

The unlocks took me two attempts. After playing a round for the first time, my score wasn't recognised and i didn't get them. After a second go though i got it and unlocked the G3 and G36 👍 I now have the same unlocks as TVRFan. I swear the medic unlock has been improved.

Yeah I found the same with the unlock problems and I agree the medic gun has improved. I was using it on full auto with no problems, although I still think its accuracy leaves alot to be desired.

I went from just under 60% to Corporal all the way to Staff Sergeant. Which is a bit daft really. I unlocked the DAO, G3 and PKM (because the default support guns suck). Heres what I think of them so far:

  • So far I like the DAO but its range really sucks (But so easy to get kill assists :lol: ), I don't think I appreciate the damage dealing quite as much as I might once have done due to me getting used to the MP5.
  • Wasn't doing that well with the G3 but I was very tired, I'm sure it will be fine as it was before.
  • Only briefly tried the PKM but I'm already questioning whether its worth bothering with as it seemed about as crap as the other support guns at first impression.
 
The PKM fires at roughly 50% the rate of the stock support guns, but delivers twice the power (give or take). It's a cool weapon, but will probably be my penultimate unlock just cos i fires so slow. I'm going DAO next, Jackhammer, then PKM and M95hit.
 
Yep, might as well get used to seeing the unlock weapons as if they were default weapons. EA can't do one thing right. They go too hard then too easy. What a bunch of effing idiots.
 
Well that might be too harsh --DICE did get a lot of things right-- but I agree the rampant number of unlocks to even casual players like me is going to prove problematic in many ways.

Apparently, I made Gunney last night. That's a total of 4 unlocks only 2 days after the patch (5 total). At this point, I'm going to have the unlock for every class I play with any regularity and then some.

They feel like empty achivements.

On the bright side, I played a few rounds of Mashtuur on a 64 man server last night and NOT ONCE was the Blackhawk a serious enough problem that I had to switch from assault or medic (my primary kits) to AT. It was a lot of fun.

I spent some time with the medic unlock --L85 (I believe)-- and aside from the better scope zoom, wasn't all that impressed over the basic M-16. At long range it is a definate upgrade over the basic AK, but I think I prefer the M-16 except at very long range.

Well why i'm so harsh is because I was at 10,100 GS a day before the patch came out and I was really looking forward to my hard worked achievement of Corporal and my G36C but then the patch came out and everyone and their dead grandmother has one now. It just pisses me off.
 
I use the L85A1 as a sniper rifer aswell, since a lot of British Army's do use it for there snipers. L85A1 is good for mid and if you got a good aim you can pull off far aims, also its strange the L85A1 sounds the same as M24 Sniper Rifer in single shot.

Also i love the L85A1 in close aiming. I think i will never unlock Dao ever it sucks badly, someone i know unlocked it and he has like 500 more deaths then kills.

After unlocking the Dao which shows, if you can use any weapon right even the MP5 you can get a mid shot at the dao people. Its fun when you hunt down the Dao to get them back after getting there rockets.

Ok I hope any of the people in the UK download Xfire, i,m ready to challenge T5-R & donbenni. In the next cople of weeks.

Or maybe even work togther with them. Some good news i be signing up to a service for £70 a year soon. Which will allow me to create my own ranked BF2 server just hope the service gets some European servers going.

Once I get the server up hopfully by next year folks, i be sure to post up the URL.
 
Yeah, I like the old unlocks. Everything is unlock...I want to find a server that only has the orignal weapons being used.
 
We should all get on teamspeak and stop being so freaking scared about hearing eachother's voices.
 
I have Teamspeak and Ventrilo. I'm down, and should be playing like mad this weekend.
 
Anyone want to set up a TS server for us UK people to face each other. Because I,m ready to face some of the UK people on here.

Anywho maybe next weekend it'd have to be on a Friday during late afternoon my time. It'd have to start and it could go on too 3AM for all I care. I have a server that I may be able to get if he gets on MSN if you guys are interested.
