Maybe faster connection?

I do agree on wasting people's time. It's also a big turn off when a single player is able to ruin the experience for all the other players in the match. I've backed out of games without realizing that I was the host, and I felt terrible afterwards.

Couldn't find it but anyone has problems using a mobile headset in game?

I was cleaning up and found myself a Nokia HS-54W headset, i connected it with PS3, adjusted input and output (did some tweaking on the voice :) ) and all worked until i did some online gaming with cod4, i saw my mic infront of nick and when i talked it reacted but no sound :(
Did i miss anything or do i need to open some ports?
Currently i have upnp setup and is working great but it seems not with voice?

Sounds familiar until the part about your mic actually reacting(or blinking) to your voice. If you don't get any answer out of this thread, you might want to email SONY on that one. :)

Gian: I had a good one, just last night. 1 - 3 - 1, on a TDM. Damn near wiped out their entire team. :p
 
Well i've had great luck with choppers, just managed 3 in quick succession on my way to 44 kills 5 deaths in my first game of the night with a UAV jam and MP5SD.

I still can't figure out how you guys rack up so many kills(it's skill, I'm in denial).

I am happy to report that with same UAV Jam/MP5-Silenced set up, I've finally reached the 20 kill streak(always die after 18 & 19). It was against bunch of noobs though. :p

P.S. Just like my first extended streak(18), it was on the Wet Work!
 
Wetwork is good to get streaks on cause Airstrikes and Heli's work well. I've had 3 10+ streaks all on Countdown.
 
Holy balls! I bought the new map pack and wow, my interest is back! ahha this mixes things up, your playing, playing, playing and its getting old, than a new map comes up that i havent really masterd or even know what each turn is, and my interest is back!

I love it... I'm back! Lol

I could care less about win ratio, i play because i have fun playing not because i want some ratio. But to each theyre own:tup:

Haha, yeah yeah. I don't end the match if i am playing in a room with good people and such. But if im in a room with a bunch of total wankers then they need it. Also how do you tell if you are the host? I can't tell until i back out and then the game is over.
 
The first person in the lobby is the host. If you make a party of x people, the person who started the party is the host, unless people were already in the lobby. The people I play with the most make a six person party and enter a lobby, if there were already people in the lobby then we back out and try again. It usually takes 2-3 tries, as a six-person party is six times more likely to get in the lobby first than a single person. The reason we HAVE to host is because absolutely destroying the other team will make them quit. :D

In other news, I OWNED the other night on S&D using a MP5SD w/UAV Jammer. Went 11/1, 13/2, and 8/0. The host ended the game in the third match as I was defusing the bomb :irked:

I went 11-0 in S&D yesterday, it was magical. It was surprising because it had been a while since I played and it was on Bloc.

We lost the first round, then won all 4 rounds after that one. On the 4th round, it was only me left against 4 enemies. I'm watching over B, then I get a message from a clan mate saying "A" so I go to A and meet 2 people. When I get to the second floor of the building A is in, the enemy plants the bomb at B :grumpy:. Here I go again, I start moving and get surprised be a barrage of 74u bullets, I shoot back but miss horribly so I switch to the USP and finished him off. I started walking towards B and I see movement in the grass. Instinctively, I blast away at the grass and kill the last enemy. Then I defuse, the end.

tl;dr

I took down 4 people.
 
Well, I would, as I've got nothing to do, but my disc is broke and it may be a while before I get a new one :(

The map pack is really cool. I definatley should have gotten it earlier, but oh well. As soon as my Wipeout HD mania subsides i will be back to my modern warrior mindset :)
 
Hopefully i can pick up a proper wired headset in the coming weeks so i can actually talk :)

I'm still not interested in the maps, i know they'd be good, but i'm still having more then enough fun with the standard offering :)
 
They really aren't that great IMO. I like kill house when its just a few friends but the other maps i could do without for sure. Pretty much breeding grounds for campers.
 
I'll get around to the new maps, as soon as I get the hard drive for the X360. :p

I was about to hook up with a buddy of mine on CoD4, when he got disconnected from Xbox LIVE. Then I got disconnected just few minutes later. I had completely forgot about the major maintenance that was to take place around midnight! I hadn't played the game on PS3 since getting the Xbox, but adjusting to the Playstation controller was just fine. Sticks are much lighter, controller smaller. Boy, did I miss it!
 
Six of us from work did comeback for more tonight...... then the Xbox LIVE crashed. :D

Some of the guys were really looking forward to tonight, so they were disappointed. Couple of us got maybe about 40 minutes out of it. For one of them, it was in middle of his first game. :crazy:

Good games A6, but good god that n00b tube + sonic boom + martyrdom guy was pretty fookin' annoying. Best game was Overgrown, 31-4, though it should of been 31-3 because the last kill was ridiculous. Hard to explain really, basically I was sniped from the upper part of the broken down house (you have to do wacky platforming to get there) I was across the map in the smaller building next to the field. I had no idea I could be sniped from there :dopey:
 
You were kicking butt. Me, not so much. I did not reach 20 kills once. :ouch: I think there were like 2, 3 games where I actually had more deaths than kills!

It was fun playing together again though. ;)

Nah, I've already logged hundreds of hours on PS3 and Xbox combined. If the network's down, oh, well. I throw controller & curse only during the games. j/k
 
And I could host! We must've won 12-13 matches in a row and we only lost twice over -25 games. I play so much better when hosting, I don't know why it lasted so long...
 
I need to get the ps3 back in my room so I can play more... (I'm always on my computer, i live on it (always busy with school work, work work, and hobbies (coding and ****) so if its in the other room, im lonly over there... lol)
 
Well since my ps3 choked the wizards of sony still havnet replaced my cod4 so anything strange or startling like a new update ive missed?
 
Just tried the 74U for the first time, very good weapon (and very ugly). Really effective against multiple targets in close and with its big power it's decent at range. Iron sights are ok not bad not great but its mainly the power that'll win the day. I found myself getting up to 3-4 kills in a spray no problem. It's got a bit of recoil but nothing uncontrollable. Probably one of the best SMGs but i'm still keeping my MP5SD for style :)

Also managed to get 12 kills within 20 seconds of a game starting just now! Overgrown, i had an M60+grip to finish up the challenges for the ACOG (needed 3 kills so thought i'd do it) Spawned at the higher side of the map ran down into the building by B (domination) looked out the door, 5 guys get nailed straight away by a spray of my M60, rambo style, I mean they were down within about a second of me opening fire. Ran upstairs nailed another, called in my strike got another 3, then went out the opposite side i came in nailing 1 on the strairs then finally another 2 by firing from the bottom door. This left me heavily exposed though as the furthest player forward in a full ground war and I was soon swamped at all side by 'nades. Did take another guy down before I was taken out but not in the one flowing movement like the first 12.
 
I've done that on Overgrown Sabotage, I went 10-0 in about 30 seconds, someone on my team planted the bomb, and I kept killing them as they spawned in the gas station area. I got a message from someone saying

him: spawn camping fag
me: I got lucky
him: yeah whatever fag

It's true I was lucky, if I wander into the enemy spawn I get taken out rather quickly.

something similar happened to me earlier today. In creek (domination) a few minutes into the match i headed into the rock tunnel and ran into 4 enemy soldiers instinctivley i left off a few rounds lobbed a grenade and ran back the way i came...low and behold boom 4 kills..lucky as hell i know..about 30 seconds later i ran back to the rock tunnel after the enemy was starting to over-run "C" 3 guys in the tunnel all bunched up together met the buisness end of my P90. The match went on ended up with a 16-5 and was the proceeded to get insulted and called a "camper" "F**" "etc etc etc. Funny how when you get killed people talk so much BS and when you have a decent match you get insulted. Oh well :)
 
You are such a spawn camping fag.

In that game where you couldn't hit water if you fell out of a boat (:lol:), I actually ended up going 35-8 or something. You totally missed out on my skillz and my airstrike that killed about 6 of them in one go.

On Creek I've actually killed someone with a grenade laucher over that hill in the middle, I would do anything to see that guys kill cam and his face when it happened.

Camping in the rock tunnel is one of the few places were campers are annoying, but it's not that hard to flash them out.
