Played it for the first time today, a couple of missions. Nice, I know Mulitplayer is what people rave about, have to try that out soon.

I really should get this on my PS3 aswell as the 360 so I can play you guys. I've got back into it on the 360 lately and have been recording the games in a hope to get some epic moments, haven't had much luck so far though.

I'm still camping a lot, but I've been doing awfully well on the boat(wetwork). Stopping power, P90(silenced), three frag grenades, deep impact. I just go for 1, 2 kills with the three frags. Then reach the five kills, only to run away to call in the air strike. Get the chopper, then go in deep, smack in middle of them. Maybe pick up a couple more kills so I can die, restart the routine to get another chopper.

Yeah, I really shouldn't be bragging about my tactics. But for me, you know what it comes down to? Winning. And although I disagree, you could make a case that I am cheating, at least cheating the system. But when you are a mediocre player at best, and you get pitched against far superior players, what are you supposed to do? Just lose the game 750-360, call it life? Obviously, I have put in little thought into this.

I rarely get caught by claymores unless they are in a decent place

So what sort of level are you guys at now?

I just got back into playing again this week and I've gone up from lvl 46 prestige 6 to lvl 54 prestige 6, hopefully I'll be up to prestige 7 by the end of next week because I'm not playing over the weekend.
Playing alot of Ground War still, I just love the high number of players, especially in Domination mode where it doesn't rely on Kill number for the game to finish. On most of the large maps like I can regularly hit 40+ kills in a single match.
Mainly using M4 Carbine after I've done most of the 150 kill challenges with guns I can tolerate and a Silenced MP5 because of the quick silent kills on maps like District.

Prestige 5 level 35 or something. I dont play as much, but when I do it is mad.

My KD ratio used to be .60 cause I was a run and gunner. Now after a long time of recovery it is .95. Still gotta get 1. On WaW I am level 32 or something because I didnt play it much. But my KD is over 1.

On Xbox, I'm a non-prestige level 55. On PSN, level 55, second prestige. I've probably put in enough hours to gold cross, like 3, 4 times over. But I suck, so I don't want to give people I'm playing with false hope. I'm serious. Although lately, there have been so many gold cross 55 guys toward the bottom at the end of the matches, I guess it doesn't really matter anymore.

Matrydom is the most annoying thing ever... I don't realise how annoying it is sometimes since people use it less in WaW.

Are you... high? People use Bouncing Betties in WaW ten times more than people use Claymores in MW. It's really bad, you can barely see them.

I went to play WaW today. I dont mind the game but in my whole 1-2 hour session I did not get a single Australian server. Everythnig is 1-2 bars connection. I would play the game more if all the aussies played. All the people on my friends list are just CoD4 players. I don't blame them, it is a better game in my opinion but really...

I just wanted a nice connection today but I guess thats asking for too much.

Yep I was on about Martydom.

And yeah, you're right. There's so many poor gold crosses out there it's shameful - I swear either they're really good or really crap 90% of the time.

I used to play WaW a lot, but kinda gave up after a while. I was 10 65 in that, but a few things made me stop playing. COD 4's weapons are so much better. I know WW2 had average weapons, but the way it frustrated me when you didn't kill someone sometimes, the fact tanks are OP, noob tubes are WAY OP (and when they removed them from S&D for the first 30 seconds wasn't good) and the fact that when you're in a large party it took at least 10 minutes to get into a game made me stop playing it. Don't get me wrong, WaW does have some good points. I didn't mind CTF on some maps, and bouncing betties are sooo effective. And I prefer Hardcore in WaW too for some reason. Probably because it's easier to survive because the weapons are poor.

A friend had his stats erased too. He wasn't a high rank, only Prestige 6, but one day he logged on to find that all his stats and rank was reset to 1. And he found out that if he did rank up again the custom classes don't work anymore, so he'd be stuck with the preset ones, which are terrible.

COD4 is just more stable, easier to play with friends and more enjoyable IMO. I've played it waaaaaaayyyy too much, as a6m5 knows.

Oh, and the M1A1 PWNS. I had some emmense times with that gun.

CoD is very hard to play for me with just one, or two bars. By the time you see your man, he's already shooting at you.

On WaW, I was one of the first to give up on it. For the exact reason James mentioned. Weapons. I guess CoD4 is arcadier?(not a real word, I know) Weapons are much more refined, accurate. If WaW introduced P90 & M16, I'll play it again. I did like the maps.

Just about everybody I know on X360 & PS3 has gone back to CoD4, at least they play more 4 than WaW, so I am glad about that.

I play quite a lot of CoD4 - generally in Private games with a bunch of friends - using my first-Prestiged Lv55 Famine3h account, which is nicely set up for the whole 2 different classes I use (Barrett, Claymores, UAV Jammer, Last Stand; G36c, Claymores, UAV Jammer, Last Stand). We - and indeed I - only ever play in hardcore modes (HCTDM exclusively in public games for me) and we have a couple of stock games we play also - Vacant with stock Demolition class and Shipment with knives only

But recently I've been trying to level up a second account - my GTP_Famine one. I've only got to Lv52 (today, in fact) and I'm trying to complete every weapon challenge on the way to Lv55 just... because. Struggling with the headshots mind, but I'm down to my last Assault Rifle and my last Sniper Rifle

Had a great game a couple of days ago with a Dragunov on Wet Work. 3 counter-snipers giving me easy targets and one guy who'd just insist on coming up the steps to kill me. I finished on 22-0-0 (2 claymore kills, 2 deagle kills, 2 airstrike kills, 8 helicopter kills and 8 Dragunov kills). I got a message from one of the opposition after that which said, simply, "coward"

I recieved the game for christmas, 2 weeks later I was back on CoD4. That was when all my aussie friends got the game for christmas and the connections were good. Several weeks after I stopped playing, almost all of them went back to CoD4 aswell. After yesterdays session, ill be going back to CoD4 next time I play.

I can play hardcore TDMs. I'll send you friend invites to your accounts. Feel free to invite me if you have room for me, or whatever. Although the connection will suck, so I might run away crying after just a couple of matches!

P.S. I get "messages" once in a while. I don't blame them, as I do camp more than average. But I once got a warning message after a TDM on the District. I replied to him that I circled the entire map, at least two times. What do you mean stop camping!?

The only way I leveled up when I was a noob was by playing HCTDM. I love dropping people in two shots, and lag isnt as bad on hardcore. Being dropped in two hits is not as fun though.

I receive a fair amount of messages. A lot are friend requests and invites to clans. Other than that it's just complaints like using the M16 too much. But sometimes I get sent some messages about how well I played, which is a good thing.

I've sent messages to people I've gone through long series of matches with. Some I fought with, some I fought against. I've never sent any negative messages though, always along the lines of "good games 👍 ". I have filed complaint regarding cheaters, boy there were a lot of those in WaW.

Coolest cheat I ever encountered was on a back lot. I gotta tell you guys this story:

Match before the back lot, I think I camped(and pwnd) and upset bunch of kids on the other team. Yes, they were kids. They are all upset, yelling at me, whatever, like I really cared.

So the back lot match starts, and we are on the same team! They are crying about it, whining, moaning. As the game start, I dash & cut to the other end of the map, get the first kill of the game with my grenade.......... then I see jets flying super low, and enemy air strike nearly hits me.

The game just started, I'm the only one with a kill in the match, so WTF!? I go on my business, thinking it's probably some glitch, where some guy had air strike carry over from the last game. Then, I start hearing those annoying kids on my team going, "he can't be killed!", etc., etc.

At this point, the other team is calling in UAV, air strike, chopper, every few seconds! I'm thinking about how hard our butts must be being kicked.

I finally run into the kid who is doing the cheating. We(me & P90) went to town on this guy, nothing. He sucks so bad, he doesn't hit me(probably because he's calling in another air strike lol). I retreat, reload, come back. Ya, he can't be killed.

I'm sorry if I told this story before. It's the most amazing video game cheat I've ever seen though.

That leaves me with the question, how the 🤬.....

That is wierd. I remember when one day we (Rabia and I) were playing with wrcsti (banned) and he called in a chopper. The funniest thing happened, whenever he calls in choppers, they always get no kills etc. This one actually killed him. You know how when you die from your own airstrike it puts the symbol of the airstrike and then your name next to it as a suicide. Well, a chopper symbol was put on next to his name and classed as suicide. That was very funny.

Snipers overlook as much of the map as they can from one spot - so they're both able to see and, sadly, be seen - and take out opponents who do the same thing to help their team. Snipers are vital to a team, whereas campers are just selfish.

I was actually moving about quite a lot, just in the same single area of the map (the bridge - which isn't my favourite sniping spot on Wet Work) and you don't get 22 kills in a HCTDM by being a coward.

I actually sent him a message back. It said "cheesecake".

I can accept camping to a degree. I mean, in real life you don't just run in nilly dally and kill everything. But what I DO count as camping is when someone sits crouched or prone in a corner of a map and waits for people to appear and kills them, like next to a staircase or near a spawn point. That really annoys the hell out of me...

Thats never happened to me but I have heard of it happening. Apparently the killcam for that is weird.

I got a message from some kid (i presume) just the other night accusing me of camping. I wouldn't have minded so much if that had been the case, but it was on 'Vacant' and i'd just spawned into the big room with all the computer cubicles when the phone rang. I'd jumped up onto one of the desks against the wall and just stood there whilst i took the phone call. I was stood there still, obviously not shooting for the rest of the game before getting the 'camping' message!!!!

I don't get most people's issues with camping. I generally don't want to spend an entire game running around like a kid with attention deficit disorder, so i will find a nice juicy spot and sit there for 30 seconds or so, get a kill or two and either move on or die. I won't do it all game, but i will do it at the start, especially on TDM where people just rush headlong into an area.

It's the same with certain attitudes to some of the perks. You don't like martyrdom? - then presume everyone you kill uses it and run away after you make a kill. You hate claymores? - fine, keep your eyes open then. etc, etc. I just think that sometimes people just hate the fact that you are playing the game differently then how they like it to be played.

But only when it's used by people on my own team who are sniping. I mean what's the point? When you die, it's going to be by a cross-map shot and you're going to drop a live grenade in your sniping spot alongside a teammate.

I think I've only ever sent one "Bad Message", but I was justified in doing so by calling him a something something cheater, he hacked his controller with a rapidfire mod.

I've told one noob to stop using my clan tag in increasingly heated messages before. It all started because I completely owned everyone the game before, like 3 times more points than anyone else so thinking he could get on my team he steals my clan tag. Anyway I spent most of the next match telling him to stop using my tag, mainly because it's an inside joke between friends. He ended up on the opposite team anyway so while he was replying to me in some childish way I just went round and shot him lots. Double win because he moved on to the highest players tag from that match which still didn't match him up.
