Had an awesome game in HC SnD, against a clan of spaniards. It was at countdown and I finished with 12-3 with a shottie and D.eagle

Once again Gaycog HC snipers... why :indiff:

Privately, I go on all sorts of swearfest. But I have, not one time, sent anything resembling a hate message on PSN or Xbox Live. And when I do receive one, my response is usually along the lines of "cool", or "neat". :D

Americans, from what I see, it's a hit & miss, as there are so many of them online. Most of the time, they are cool, or funny, so I guess they are good. Just about all Japanese players I've encountered are decent. Too bad they almost never try to communicate with you in english, but of course, I understand them.

I recently received a feedback/player review on my Xbox Live account, a6m5zeke. I was labeled "disruptive" in the communication section. Only problem is, I don't wear headsets. And when I do wear it, I'm in party-chat, so only my friends can hear what I'm saying. Needless to say, I think someone thought I was some jerk calling him names in the lobby.

As you may know, I tend to snipe.

Once I received a message mid-game. It said "camp 🤬 off".

Which I thought both misunderstood the nature of sniping and sounded like a really crap place to go on holiday.

But that comes with the territory. If you are a sniper, and you got your thing going, those targets are not very happy with you! I should know, I've been on the receiving end many times!

Some will call you names, when they get upset. Me? I just leave, wiping away the tears, muttering "not........ fair".

I ignore them completely. If they were any good, I'd be a lot more dead.

During the cheating phase, I accidentally TKed a cheating teammate - I'd noticed an enemy hiding in the statue at Showdown, so when I respawned I LMGed up the statue. I wasn't aware a teammate had killed the guy and taken up his position and, of course, I couldn't see any green names...

Of course, he had a headset...

Cheat: "OMG! What the 🤬 you 🤬 🤬 ? I'm gonna shove my dick down your throat."
Me: "Mmmm... dick... *drools*"
...
Cheat: "What are you, a fag or something?"
Me: "Dude. You want a guy to suck your dick and they're the fag?"

He quit.

Last night was good, wasn't it Famine? :D

I've never seen someone end up on -20!

I was surprised to be suddenly launched into your game last night, especially only about a minute before the end.

I was even more shocked when i realised you were playing HC, especially since i'd automatically started shooting at anyone who didn't immediately have a green tag above their heads. It was only after the game finished that i realised i'd probably been taking out my team-mates :dunce: :dunce:

Yeah, that was Funk. He's "not very good" by his own admission.

You gotta love the "OMG! I'm so sorry! I thought you were..... OMG!". Hardcore!

I just went on for the first time in a long while. I had to drop my sensitivity one notch down to 5 but once I get the hang of MW2 I will go back to 6.

All I have to say about todays session is that I HAVE TO SORT OUT THIS CONNECTION!!!!

Random lag jittering, random lag, random spontanious kicks out of playstation network. It is driving me crazy, ever since we got a brand new Netgear router my PS3 has just be screwing up to the max. It is super annoying.

I have Netgear, too. Seems to be doing a fine job, but I've only had it for couple of months.

Mine is strange but I JUST read something interesting. A guy mentioned something about when his controller is plugged in by USB he doesnt disconnect. Yesterday I played GTA IV all day and it is inevitable that I will eventually DC but I did not. Yesterday I had my controller charging all day even though it was charged. I am going to play later with my controller plugged in and see what happens!

Surely it couldnt make a difference seeing as it is bluetooth and is designed for the PS3 but if it works, meh. The thing is that there is a phone, another wireless router and probably a few mobiles lying along the path of my wireless signal to the router. I have some testing to do.

Since nobody ever uses the 360 forum for CoD, I thought I'd post my latest video here;

Nice ending.

Anyone having issues trying to get online in this right now? When I go to Find Game it gives me the "Downloading Game Settings..." box for a while then drops back to the main Multiplayer menu..

Hey, hey! I've been hammering COD4 lately - I'm determined to get the gold cross before MW2 is released, I think I've got about 4 prestige levels to go.

One thing I would like to pass on to you guys is a nice little trick myself and my clan use regularly (it may of been mentioned before), and we call it 'The helicopter trick'.

Because of the way myself and my clan fights online, we usually have redundant resources at our disposal. This usually manifests itself in there being a man free most times. So with the free man, we use the helicopter trick to dominate and intimidate the opposing team.

What is the helicopter trick? Its simple really, get 7 kills for chopper support, but don't call it in. Now run around like a Johnny Rambo bullet magnet until you die, which is usually loads of fun! When you respawn, find a quiet little corner, and call in the chopper. If the chopper does it job right, you should get the UAV, airstrike, and (if your lucky), another chopper. Do the Johnny Rambo thing again, and die, then repeat.

I did this earlier today on HTDM, and went 32-6 with 4 choppers called in, with 5 UAV's and 5 airstrikes. Suffice to say, we won the game by a clear 400pts! Apart from the obvious benefits of doing this there are a few others too. For instance, because the opposing team are under constant aerial assault, they will tend to congregate inside buildings. Its only a matter of finding out which ones, then malleting them with everything you've got! Another crucial benefit to using this trick is that, because my whole clan practices this trick, we can effectively control who calls in the chopper. We usually always have a chopper on standby as well as the one that is in action, so it can be quite intimidating when you face us.

There are two caveats to using this system though, and they are:

1) Don't call the chopper then kill yourself. Any kills that the chopper gets won't be added towards your streak.

2) Likewise, if you respawn and die shortly after calling in your chopper, the kills it gets won't add to your streak either. I'm almost certain too, that whilst your dead the kills your chopper gets won't be added to your tally OR your streak, so be warned.

If you can combine the 'helicopter trick' with 'spawn management', you can effectively pen in the opposition and annihilate them!

Get back to the war soldier! ;)

I've been doing that lately myself :D

I'm just trying to get my gold weapons before COD6 though.

I've been doing that for quite a while now. It's especially really good in Domination games or in FFA. But, I don't go all "Johny Rambo." I just keep doing my best 'til I die. I called in 7 choppers in one Domination match on Overgrown!

I wouldn't mind getting to prestige 10 before MW2 but I'm only on prestige 8. I definately won't make it in time and unless MW2 is a complete flop I doubt I will ever make it to the golden cross. I could get damn close if I played HQ all the time but I hate those games.

How long does it take you to level up? I can do a whole prestige level in around a week of average game time, and only by playing HTDM. I could probably do it quicker if I was a little more savvy with my weapon challenges and played HSD to death!

I don't have a clue, I would say around week and a half, it depends how busy I am and if I push for gun challenges or stay with a weapon I can score highly with. It's difficult to judge if I would be better doing a weapon challenge and scoring poorly while I'm doing it or if I should just score higher with a familiar weapon and get no bonus. It doesn't help that I only ever play domination too, I can kill loads but it doesn't score very well.

'The helicopter trick'.
I didn't know it worked that way. 👍

I have wondered how sometimes, after I get the chopper in the air, I die, but the same thing happens where kills count toward my next streak. I'm definitely not calling the chopper in after I die. I am calling it in before they shoot me dead.

Maybe same thing happen if I call in the chopper, die before I get any kills?

Can anyone check to see if they are getting an error when trying to play online? I get a message saying "Cannot connect to Activision Matchmaking [Error 33]".

Thats a new error...I havent heard of it before. I may be able to check later for you.

Just started cod 4 online again:) So much better then WAW!! Much better online connection too.

Add me if you wanna play HQ ;)

So much better but so much more challenging! Ive noticed that the players on WaW just aren't that good and just about everyone i run into on COD4 are just veterans at it. Makes for some annoying games sometimes.

That may be true, but since I get avrage 3-4 bars in connection in cod 4 and only 2-3 in WAW, I find cod 4 easyer since my bullets dont have 0,5sec lag :ouch:
