Personally I would love to see a night time map that needed the night vision, as well as one that makes better use of the 'swimming pool' area and ferris wheel in Bloc.

I imagine it would be really cool running round seeing everyones lazer sight lines, not using a lazer could be a perk and it would just be real fun with night vision.

Yeah that would be nice. The Xmas PC map is in the dark, but have Xmas lights everywhere. lol

Only map where you could maybe use the NVG's is Wet Work.

Beerz - livin' up to the name there a few days ago. Wow that was absolutely some of the worst spelling I've ever seen, must have been a great night.


2 days into the online mode and I've now bubbled my way up to a 0.92 k/d ratio. Can almost taste that 1.0 now. Gotta admit that at first I hated the LMG's, but in order to finish off the "killer" LMG head shot challenge I've learned a new appreciation for them. Especially the M60 with grip and double tap, nasty little combo if you can deal with the iron sight. That and the RPD with stopping power and deep penetration naturally. They both can be mean little pieces of equipment and great for laying down suppressing fire thus allowing teammates to move more easily.

Yeah, I had quite a few. I'm still amazed what I wrote on the posts is actually perceptible, as I could barely make out the letters on the screen keyboard - I did those through the PS3.
I'm also amazed that the huge headbang I had on the door trying to get into my own bathroom didn't crack my skull. Guess my bones are still good to go.
Yeah, I also love the RPD. For a while, it was almost the only weapon I used on every map, and I still keep a class with it, as a use-this-when-everything-seems-to-fail, it's just awesome.

Has anyone else had problems with lag lately? Of the 9 rounds I played tonight, 7 ended in a "Host ended game" message after having terrible lag. The entire room had a single red bar for signal except one person with full green bars.

I have, mostly at lunch time and occasionally during the night. That one with the 4 green bars is the host.
Funny (now really) how even with 3 green bars, there's always lag. Not much, but if you're against good players, 0.3secs DOES MAKE a difference...

I managed to get a 40-9 today at Down pour, I was able to call in 2 air strikes and 1 helicopter support, the G3 does help a lot.

What game type was that? Great score. 👍

Yes, me and people from GPT clan (which I play with these days) stumbbled upon them once and they are from Croatia I presume. But they've gone from the game we sterted and we've never met them afterwards.

Are these maps gonna be free by any chance? are there any multiplayer night ones?

They're asking for opinions to forum members as to what people want to see in new maps, so nothing's written in stone yet. It's cool if they take up people's suggestions, but I'm worried that most of the people giving them are people that snipe and nothing else, that are wanting huge maps so they can snipe. I wouldn't mind huge maps, but they would have to have lots of cover points and buildings or whatever, so that everyone that wasn't sniping could have a chance...

Hahaha I think they should, its been bloody ages!, Im on a US game and its NEVER once timed out and it always gets into a game..... its really odd seeing as Im playing from the UK with an average BB connection!

Been having some lag issues myself today when playing and lots of host ended game also

On another note I got a 48/6 on Countdown at a HQ match and won the game and managed to let out 3 helicopters and my 4th was in the bag when the score was exceeded! probably my best played game yet and want more like it

My lad pointed out to me about some catapult trick and decided to look at the vid on youtube 👎 damn these guys! .. have they nothing better to do in the game than find the tiny flaws obviously they aint any good at playing it

Hey Everyone --

We're still waiting on a status update regarding the EU Connectivity patch. It's still at SCEE going through certification and has been for about two weeks now. I haven't received any status update from them, nor have I seen any bugs come back so that's a good sign. These things on avg typically take about two weeks so I'm hoping we're getting close to it being finished, however you never know.

I'm going to ping Production and see if we can get a more solid status update from them for you guys, but I can't promise we will, I can promise we'll attempt to get one but ETA's are rarely handed out on these sort of things, understandably.

If I hear anything firm back I'll pass it on to you guys.

Hey, haven't played HQ in a while, did ok on a few matches today. Best was a 49-14 on Backlot. And no, I don't camp to get kills. I always try to both capture and destroy the HQ.
Always been a team player, always will. 👍

Hey Everyone --

I have great news as rumor has it from SCEE today that the EU Connectivity patch has passed certification, and while I can't speak for them (as it's up to them to release it), word has it that they may be releasing it to users for download as soon as this Friday (8th)!

Just wanted to pass this along as I just got the word.

Whoever plays Hardcore matches, what's your favorite setup?
Mine is either an M16+RDS+Claymores+Double Tap+Steady Aim or a G3+RDS+Claymores+UAV Jammer+Deep Impact. Occasionally, a sniper rifle (M40 or R700 + UAV Jammer).

@ Beerz, I dont play Hardcore matches unless I get an invite to one and I'll have a go .. mostly I play HQ matches and I am still stuck on the RPD with the grip but my perks have changed and I love them I now use UAV Jammer and Extreme Conditioning and together I can race around the maps at a good speed and pick off the odd kill or 2 my fave set up so far

i also wanted to know you weapons set ups, like what gun and what perks you use. i am only level 32 so my choices are not very open. i use the M4 with digital camo and a red dot sight (i use the AOCG scope on 2 maps), the M9 with the silencer, double tap, martydom (usually i use last stand), and the double ammo thing.

What game type was that? Great score.

It was Domination. I was pretty lucky in that match, dudes just kept coming out from the door, and you know the G3 is deadly at medium long distance. There was a moment both of my weapons were out of ammo, it was a really good match.

Btw, between the G3 and the M14, which one is better?

It's been so long waiting for this I figure as this point we just might as well be content that it's actually getting released at'tal.

Yeah you'll need to find a PC or Mac to watch it as youtube can't carry it. It is top notch stuff though... not work safe JIC.

I got annoyed by that too, so now I just plug in my mic from Socom 2 and set it on the floor so I don't have to listen to any of it.

My headset has a volume function so i usually plug mine in, mute the mic, and mute the headset so all that i hear is the game sounds.

I tell them to stfu or sdfm (shut-down-f-music), and as 99.999% of the times they don't, I wait for the match to end and search for another lobby.

Something happened to me today that really pissed me off (yeah, I know I have a lot of anger towards a variety of things).
I was searching for a HTDM, got thrown into a match in progress. My team was losing 180-460. My connection status was red (I check it all the time), meaning lag of well over 1sec. Framerate was so bad I could barely aim properly and because of the lag, couldn't kill anyone.
Everyone else's connections (except one that was yellow) had either 3 or 4 green bars.
I left the match, of course. One defeat. I searched again for a HTDM. Found one in progress, same map.
I pick my weapon, get in and...





IT'S THE SAME FREAKIN' MATCH I HAD JUST LEFT FROM!!!!!

Beerz I have left the same match 3 times on many occasions I can sympathize with you on that one as it blows my brains when it happens

I just left a match then that was a disgraceful display of bad matchmaking by the COD server
I went into a HQ match against 6 Prestige 10 level 55 gold cross rambo's!
.. against my prestige 3 and a level 1 prestige and 3 other players who had not reached prestige yet
It was a slaughtering and I left the game when I had 9 kills and 17 deaths and I was winning on my team 👎👎 anyway to top it off! all the gold cross guys had different coloured names and some where green 👎👎👎
I hope they get something done about this crap asafp

I have left many games and will continue to do so as long as the lag and stupid coloured users and the bad match making continue

Haha, @Beerz, many of my setups have martyrdom in them, and I always forget to change it if I play a htdm, and the other night, I killed 3 of my teammates with one martyrdom nade. Needless to say, they weren't too thrilled about it.

Mr P -coloured names are not only stupid (and bad taste), but also hacking in it's most simple form. IW already stated they're aware of the problem (yes IT IS a problem, not just a "I'm different" statement), and they'll take action asafp.
Plus, by changing the game save file, these people are breaking directly some of PSN's terms of use rules (which I can't post now because I'm on the PS3, so copy/paste is out of the question), any of which can get your account banninated, not to mention that they can also be banned from playing ANY game online with their PS3, no matter what account they use.

Anyway, I do hope you have one class without Martyrdom to switch to when in HTDM, makes things easier.
What really pisses me is that I die more from teammates' Martyrdom nades than from opponents'. Or even than frags thrown by opponents...

There are guys with streaks of 300 and 400.
Anything over 60 (give or take) is cheating. Fixed matches where your friends line up to get killed, spawn and get back and line up... you get the idea.

If you want to see some crazy stuff in action search for GT's posts. He has a youtube video of him going like 57-9 at Vacant in headquarters, against a bunch of prestiges' even.

Anyhoo... like Beerz said, there are many a cheater out there. Anything beyond about 10 more than GT's best in that category I would seriously take with a grain of salt.
