Hehehe...I can't believe all the whining and crying in this thread. You people are acting like children (which perhaps you actually are). 💡

It's a game, that's it. The delay shouldn't be "ruining" anyone's life, or their Xmas break (Hey, newsflash, not everyone gets 2 weeks off for xmas or has summers off anymore anyway). Your existence has not become meaningless, nor is this armagheddon. :scared:

You're not going anywhere. You're going to buy this game no matter when it's released. Dec 14th, Dec 20th, Jan 1st, who gives a damn. Come on people, try to grow up a little. :dunce:

BTW, the real reason for the delay is because I called up KY and said I wanted my 2003 Cobra in it. "He said sure thing, man, anything for you, but the rest of the world will be mad at the delay." I just smiled, shrugged, and said, "They'll get over it....."
 
Yes, it IS just a game, however it IS just a game that we have been waiting .. oh .. 3.5 - 4 years for. The game went GOLD, which means that it is finished. Therefore there should have been no delays. ::sigh::

btw if they delay, then it means the game is not completed yet? (including testing/fixing) then why did they have celebration party??
or perhaps other issues?
 
Well I guess is all fvcked up now, this Xmas break will suck, thanx alot Sony, I just wish this moment is a nightmare..... but is not........
 
If I were you guys I would honestly not expect this game until at least march or april of 2005 at this point. It would be easier if they just said that they really arent sure when it will get released. That would be easier to accept.
 
Oh, sure, first quarter 2005. So then, when they set the new release date to March 15th, 2005, when it is March 2nd they will come up and say they had to postpone it again due to some fkng new reason. We all have seen it before....

I am really glad I just bought GTA SA so it will keep me busy for a while...

Yeah, we are not dying from it, we are still going to buy it in 2006, or whenever it launches, but the reason of all this whining is that everybody here feels frustrated, if not betrayed, by KY and his sunshine band. There's a saying that says that "the key to success is knowing how to manage your client's expectation"... KY sure don't know how to handle it. And in my personal opinion, releasing such an expected game (or going gold, whatever) or even just setting a definitive release date with all the debugging not done is a great lack o responsability from PD dudes.

I really dont give a **** when it comes out, but why can they not give a permanent release date? If it is May 23, 2006 that is FINE!! I am just tired of them LYING about the game. Or at least with every dealy give us comprehensive amounts of information about the game. Like it wont be out for another year, but Ferrari is in.

Ahhhh Yes, the KY comes through again. get's you all warm & wet before he really gives it to you.....

although, they are claiming Sony(production & distribution) to be at fault for this one, yet they say they want to give their customers the best product.
They say it like their is a problem with the "finished" game itself. almost like PD (programming & development) missed something or have to adjust something. So in fact, the delay should be pointed at PD if there is a game quality issue, & not at Sony. if there is a distribution & production issue, then it is all on Sony. you would think that a multimillion dollar corporation would have their S**T together a little better than this.
 
A delay, two weeks before release. This is unprecedented. It has to be. It's absolutely rediculous.

Forza is looking better and better. Too bad I already spent all that money on a wheel.

Ahhhh well - I guess there are plenty of other games out there. Yeah I know there's more to life than GT4, but the £30 spent on this game will provide more pleasure than £30 on anything else!

This game IS IMPORTANT to me and GT is a large part of my life! If that's sad then so be it - I'm not really bothered if some people find a game being that important offensive, hell - I'm not exactly gonna cry my eyes out, but I am gutted.

Going back to GT1, GT2, GT3, Concept and Prologue and buy the time I've completed all those for the second time, then the game should finally be out. :indiff:

The game has already gone gold...which i thought that it starts going into production....plus PD said the game was finished....so............WHERE IS THE DELAY COMING FROM EXACTLY?? How many more problems can their be?? O well...guess it's next year for us.

Someone told them GT4 was a dull pile of Sh#t that didnt feature realistic backfire, so they've gone back to start again from scratch.

Latest rumour, is that someone at PD forgot to put the game on the gold disk.
And since PD formatted the hard drive before starting with a clean sheet for GT5, Means they have nothing to show for it. ;)
 
Now that would really make me laugh if that actually happened.

Actually, this game is not that badly delayed, 3-4 years is pretty standard these days.... and you have obviously not heard of "Duke nukem forever". That's the most delayed game in history, and i'll be suprprised if it ever comes out at all. ^_^

forza will suffer the same delays GT4 has, the game is supposed to come out in february, but, mark my words, the game will be delayed for at least 8 to 12 months.
the demo that was supposed to come out with halo 2 didn't ship, that's my first sign right there.

Backfire is as important to me, as watching my dog mate, and i don't even have a dog.
as long as they get driving physics as best as they can, i don't care about petty details like backfire.

On the other hand, it may now come with online, and even Ferrari and Porsche and Lamborghini! This had better be good, I'm pissed. That was the only thing on my Christmas list and now I can't play it. This sucks. I just don't see what could be holding them up at this point.

If The Game Has A Major Glitch That Will Affect The Game When It Realeased Then Pd Has Just Wasted Their Time In Even Bothering To Release The Game Imo.
