never will happen cause of Sony and Microsoft.
And it'd suck on PC, half of us can't upgrade our computers each time a game comes out.

I stick to my PS3 for a reason.. PC gaming is a pain in the rump in my opinion.

Could be interesting but never going to happen. As mentuoned above Sony and Microsoft are never going to collaborate

They are exclusives to their consoles, these two companies actually effect sales of their consoles to a significant level. Microsoft and Sony would both lose a lot of money if they worked together... But it doesn't hurt to dream, I would love to see a combined effort in Multi console

for the reasons that people before me already said, it is impossible, But these 2 companies should collaborate to put ea and nfs 6feet under.

for PC? having in mind PD only ...If they ever decides (or sony let them) to develop a PC game they will never finish it.
They will keep pushing it to the next gen of Cpu's, Gpu's and so on, till the next ice age hits earth.

They will never work together and I don't want them to, it would destroy Kaz's vision of Gran Turismo if he has to compromise with whoever makes Forza.

This idea that PD and Microsoft will merge to make Forza Turismo is nothing more than a fantasy. It's like saying Apple will merge with Microsoft to make the ultimate operating system, it will never happen...

If there weren't the problem of them being first party devs on opposite sides of the console market, I could see PD and T10 collaborating and creating a great game together. Forza's manpower and resources, Kaz's vision and perfectionism, I'll be lying if I don't think it'll be great.

Agree with the first part.

100 percent disagree with the second part. A racing game of gt5/Forza caliber with the current technology of PCs would NOT suck.

Sorry but in my humble annoying opinion PC gaming trumps consul gaming always. A current PC destroys PS3 or XBOX360 in a way that makes them both pretty sad. I love my PS3 for the fun it allows me online with friends, but every time I switch it on I know I'm nowhere near the potential of what a processing computer can do.

This is the reason I would never buy crossover games for a consul. Think about it. Halo was better on PC in multiple ways, including the ability to mouse/keyboard, graphics, etc. And that game defined xbox, so what is that saying? I would have never bought Alice Madness Returns for PS3. For one, the PS3 version lacks the detailed physics engine of the PC version and the graphics are better. Not to mention the original Alice (my favorite video game ever released on anything) was on PC originally. And while I appreciate them broadening their audience, no thanks. Battlefield 3? Duke Nukem Forever? Cry-anything? Portal 2? All much, much more phenomenal on PC. What's to say GT or FMS wouldn't be just as epic? Your PC and PS3 are pretty much the same thing except one you can add parts to.

But I am extremely biased. Like, extremely biased. Grew up on DOS games throughout my childhood. So, feel free to disagree with prejudice.

But yeah, it would never happen.

You are comparing a 2006 console with a 2010-11 PC, the comparison is wrong to begin with.
You are missing the point here, this isnt about better graphics this is about price.
No one wants to buy a new gfx card, or more ram every now and then.
The gfx card that some PC games need is x2 times the price of a PS3.
In fact, There is no PC that costs 250euros and can do what a PS3 can or play the games that PS3 can.
Of course some times is down to the dev's that they are ....lets say "bored".... to sit down and squeeze more power out of an old-er gen PC, but nevertheless you will have eventually to buy new staff for your pc many times in 6-8 years, unlike with a console.

No. Although PD could borrow some things from Turn 10... just saying.

Totally agree. Specially with Turnn 10´s manpower, and I also bet that Turn 10 has better equipment. Just like you main idea states: PD and Kaz have the intelligence and creativity...the vision. Turn 10 has the tools to make it possible.

But if we are talking about a PC game, I would hate that. Computers are expensive to upgrade so they can handle new gen games, specially if we are talking about a game in the likes of Gran Turismo.

On my personal opinion:

Consoles = gaming
Computers = working

(Still, I respect pc gamers.)

Never heard this idea before, oh wait! As for the question, never.

I get your point but I have to disagree even on the price point (I should say, in some aspects; your points do carry validity).

a.) pc games seem to be slightly cheaper than consul games.

b.) you don't have to buy a new system every time you upgrade. Technology lowers in price so quickly that if you just back off ONE generation of gfx card you save a tremendous amount and still get a lot out of it.

c.) I bought a gaming pc that is not 2011 good (we cut corners when building it), it cost about $600 US dollars including case and everything. That's about what a good PS3 cost when it came out. And my computer even being slightly older gen graphics card etc. still obliterates the PS3.

Now, I love PS3. But hell yes I would LOVE to at least have the option to play GT on my computer. Imagine what it would do online! Imagine how they could improve the physics!

However it is rather moot since GT5 is a consul mover as is FMS4. But I don't think PC gamers and consul gamers will ever really see eye to eye on the matter anyway. I respect your opinion.

Imagine Stanley Kubick (PD) teaming up with Michel bay (T10)

Would be a great Bay movie. But a bad Kubrick movie.

Good analogy. Yes, that would be a bad Kubrick movie. :)

Not to mention Kubrick would make Michael Bay cry his way off the set on the first day of shooting.

Yeah just like Tekken X Street Fighter and Street Fighter X Tekken, GT X Forza on PS3 and Forza X GT on 360. I know what I wrote makes no sense at all but just think about it.:sly:

Never going to happen, and its a terrible idea anyways. 👍

Pretty much. I don't know how anyone can think a collaboration would result in anything but neither developer being able to work together. The end result would be a disaster.

I think would not happen in million years, but this like under the 90's when Mario and sonic two biggest things in games, but then Sega stop making hardware and only make game to another game console. and now can we see sega games on Nintendo and sonic together with Mario.

It's like saying Apple will merge with Microsoft to make the ultimate operating system, it will never happen...

What would be worse there is calling it iWin. :dunce: (Nothing against your PSN FYI )

Anyway, PD-T10 is not happening. Ever.

Sod the PC users!!!! 👍

Stick with iRacing and iFactor and those GTR titles. They are supposedly so much better than Forza and GT, right?;)

Couldn't agree more. Every few months, you got to check the minimum requirements for the game and think "Oh God, can my PC handle it and if it does, will it move like someone going through wet cement?"

To be honest, I've played racing games on the PC and to me, I wasn't particularly impressed by the graphics nor the fun factor. Give me GT5 and Forza 4 any day. Miles better.

They will never work together and I don't want them to, it would destroy Kaz's vision of Gran Turismo if he has to compromise with whoever makes Forza.

If you tell me Turn 10 will add their livery editor and their car list, I can't see how Kaz's vision of GT can be destroyed. You better say realized.

Good choice of words. 👍

Seriously, it would be nice if, before asking a question like this, you actually did a search. If you had done that you may have seen a thread almost a spitting image of this one posted but a week ago but with a much better thought out OP and not a 1 liner to generate some conversation. :grumpy:

I could ignore it, yes, but then should I have to trawl through scores of repeat new threads to be able to find one that has new content and a decent ground for existence?

I've had a long day, not in the best of moods so apologies if this comes off a little strong.

....retreats to 'What grinds your gears'.........

No, will never happen.

Besides, if it did happen it would be the death of the racing genre as we know it. Now when Forza and GT are two different games, the competition will make them improve to overtake each other. With only one game there would be no competition and there would be no reason to improve.

It's like if there would only be one car manufacturer in the world, then there would be no reason for the car industry to evolve beyond the VW Beetle.
