Currently there is a bug in our League about Star Player, it disappeared for myself too and for a lot of players that earned it, in both Nations and Manufacturers.

When you go to the calendar that shows in the "Sport Mode" section online and go to August, it seems to be displaying the first FIA round for next month:

So we've had a few rounds now, the Global Manufacturer Ranking is starting to look quite heavily indicative of who will qualify for Salzburg.

At the start of the season, before Round 1, I made predictions, lets see where we are at:

MY PREDICTIONS:

CURRENT STANDINGS TOP 15 (TOP 12 QUALIFY):

OBSERVATIONS:

1) Nissan are doing much, much, better than I thought, this is mainly due to some very decent EMEA drivers signing on at last minute, they're still quite unlikely to qualify though.

2) Alfa Romeo have dropped like a rock this season, well out of contention and won't qualify due to basically every decent driver they had other than @Dodge Lamb all deciding to bail out at once.

3) Peugeot, which is my Manufacturer, are significantly higher than I thought, and I'm the top contributor out of the 5 regions??? Didn't see this one coming, but I'm absolutely ecstatic about it. We'll drop a bit later in the season as less tracks suit the car, but we're looking mighty fine right now.

4) Other than these few Manufacturers, everything else is basically exactly where I thought, PD, get me an analysis role

2) Alfa Romeo have dropped like a rock this season, well out of contention and won't qualify due to basically every decent driver they had other than @Dodge Lamb all deciding to bail out at once.

The kicker for Alfa in the pre-season was the Gr4 races with huge tyre wear multipliers. Especially on non-power tracks like Autopolis, Brands Hatch and Big Willow.

For this season (so far), that advantage has been completely nullified by the lack of tyre-limited races.

Worth pointing out that Alfa's other NYC World Tour qualifiers Turismo-Jara and gilles_honda_v12 are also still there.

Tried to do it with the Jaguar but I lose too much pace towards the end.
Saw lots of meganes and toyotas.

All August rounds have the same info, I’m betting they’re placeholders, but the first rounds may be real

I'm pretty sure Northern Isle is the placeholder when new FIA rounds are uploaded on the website, so I wouldn't get too excited.

As for the night, Nations cup didn't go as planned, and Manu cup went better than expected! So pretty solid night overall and some fun races in the end.

Im definitely worried about this Nations cup tonight.

I have a decentish qualifying on the controller (1:24.2 with the TT Cup) but i feel like its going to be another god damn snoozefest no stop favouring race which immediately gives any wheel user a ridiculous advantage because of how easy it is for them to deal with tyre wear.

What's the general consensus on the nations cup race from the aussies so far? is it no-stoppers coming out on top by miles, or is it plausible to run a 1 stop if you can do below a certain time? Are certain cars OP?

So turns out Manufacturers was/is best as no stop!? Winner who did a no stop finished 8 seconds ahead of everyone else who one stopped. As for me, blew 3rd place on the final lap braking too late for the right hander onto the bridge and finished 6th. (Qualified 5th).

Would there be an issue with using mixed tyre compounds for the races themselves (i.e. mediums front, softs rear)? I'm thinking about using a similar strategy for the 20:00 Nations, but am aware that using more than one compound at once frowned upon in certain kinds of real motorsport.

It's fine to do that in GT Sport. People do it all the time and I've done it myself. Don't worry about it 👍

Today has pretty much been a shambles for me in every race I've done, but I've managed to (somewhat) save it with a 1003 point 2nd place at St. Croix. A sub-15 minute race time for a championship race is a complete joke, however.

Sardegna B is an apex-less mess that I'll never touch again.

I did a thing

I went into the race with pretty low expectations, seeing as I was forced to stop in a no-stop race. First slot I started P6 and came P10 for 1301 points. The lobby was unusually strong and I got a penalty on lap 1 so I decided to redo it.

The second timeslot was worth 2334 points compared to 2473 in the first one. I ran a really good lap in qualy, a 2:17.999 which put me on provisional pole for the majority of the session. I was ultimately beaten out by a Lexus and started 2nd. I took the lead halfway through lap 1 and a Mustang, who was also 1-stopping, followed me through. I let said Mustang by on the bridge on lap 2 after making a small mistake and we both went into the pits at the halfway point, with me half a second behind him. The Lexus inherited the lead and went on to win the race.

We had identical fuel loads going into the pits. I didn't see him anywhere as I came out, so I thought he had overfueled and I was in the clear. I emerged in P10 and made my way to P6 by the start of the final lap. The Spaniard in P5 let me by at the end of the second sector. Suddenly I saw that the Mustang was ahead, he hadn't taken new tires during his pitstop P4 overtook P3 on the bridge with me in their slipstream. I passed them both right after that and missed my braking point by a little, but they didn't have the power to get back past because they were saving fuel. From then on, it was a matter of holding them off for the last sector and a half and I came home to achieve my first podium and 2k score in FIA!

Well, I am 2.5 seconds off the pace of the top 10 at St Croix. All I have to say is that this track is TERRIBLE in reverse.

Hell yeah. Got the win and 1777 points.
Got pole, had two jaguars on my back.
One overtook me on t1. I wasn't worried since I knew the jaguar falls off a cliff after lap 7 or so. Had another Toyota overtake me but his pace fell too near the end. It was a matter of running nice and steady, eventually I took first and managed a nice gap. Super happy.

Not much luck for me in either race. Could not match the pace in the McLaren 650 in the Nations round, and after some sketchy overtaking attempts from cars behind me I was shunted into the sand on the hairpin. Qualifying was a 1:27 something, not bad (it's a new track) but not great either, and miles off the podium. Did a no-stop race but still finished around 13th. Manufacturers was a disaster, I think I was second last in the final lobby, and despite pitting I ran out of fuel on the final stretch
