A bit frustrated that I had a strategy in mind for Blue Moon and it was working good until I decided to stray from it after the pit stop. Allowed myself to get shuffled back a bit and could do nothing to climb up despite having fuel for days. Wasted opportunity. :irked:

Based on limited tested, Nations is one stop fuel/tires with Megane and some fuel saving. Yawn.

I know I'm putting this out before the nations cup round but video to get you prepared for round 6 manu at interlagos.

Nothing especially complicated about this one but hopefully vid can be of use

Good luck for your races

P.s if your in car I used for testing you are going to need it lok

Been YOLO'ing the last few FIA races. Zero practice due to being busy with new year stuff, and picking Dodge is not a good idea  I've been bleeding so much DR lol. The good thing is, when official season starts I'll be so far away from top split so better chance of scoring good points (unless PD changes the point/race format again that is). Also yay for shorter quali. Seems like fuel burning is no longer that effective so it greatly simplifies things and you can get the whole event done in ~40 mins.

Anyway, for today's Nations race, Megane Trophy has best tyre wear and best fuel consumption out of all cars. Seems like another one make series.

Upcoming Manu - I never realised how slow Viper Gr.4 is down the straights. It's only slightly faster than the usual slowpokes (e.g. Evo, Subaru, 4C, 86). Good because I'm travelling and won't miss much

I did several bmb yesterday with my renault RS01 , this car have a low top speed and a good grip.
After trying some strategies saving gas without any success better than a 11 th place , i run the last race full gas all the time , passing cars in turn 1 till position 2.
Then bump drafting at the lead till lap 11 , pit , full tank , and same full gas till the end .
Result , a 2d place almost 1st.

The steategy was no strategy for this race with my renault. It was much more fun than i was expecting.

I thought the oval BOP means all cars have equal power and weight? I was surprised to see the Oceania top leaderboard car was a Evo, because normally that thing is a brick down the straights. I checked the BOP and sure enough it makes equal power to my Viper. In that case I imagine the only differentiating factor is handling and drag, which makes the RS01 quite handy around this track due to its high base grip. The winner in my split used a 4C which was also handy because of its good fuel consumption and low drag/frontal area. I'm surprised not more McLaren/Peugeot VGT turned up for this race actually.

I just kept pitting for RS. 3 stop. I think the Slophys are starting on RS and switch to RS on lap 8. A 4C started on RM and ran a bit over half. It lost control on the front straight before the line. Also, a Slophy helped the 4C off as well. The 4C bumped it off two corners before.

All I can say is, either keep your Slophy in the standard livery or make a pretty one.

I reckon you had a good run in the Supra, cheers for the tidy race too. Lot of average people in those Meganes so if it's one takeaway you're better than them in the meta car. I went 3 stop softs too, half fill each time to reduce pit time and I think it's a viable strategy. Early pit gives you fresh air from the pack while they waste time on each other and 3 stint puts you on fresh softs and low fuel.

Anyway, this incident wasn't as bad as I'd thought but still a bit of negligence on the other bloke, wasn't using mirrors and could have held a safer, tighter line:

Ruined my race but serves as a warning on what to expect as always at Brands.

Started off okay. Then someone was getting a bit loose into T2. That started bunching us up at the back, with an accordion effect.

This is why the manufacture series is better. No full fields of meta cars.
That too. I just feel Nations has the better track list, for me, this season. However, I do commend PD for placing more REAL tracks in Manu. That's a big plus.

You really like that Supra aye. I’m quite taken with it also. Great sounding, solid alrounder.

Yeah, sounds different than anything else.
It was okay at Bathurst and Spa. Dragon Trail Seaside, it's pretty strong. It wasn't bad at Brands Hatch(next week's Daily Race B is at Brands Hatch, so no tyre wear ;) ). No doubt a faster player can make it a regular winner. In saying that, I tuned it to match the Vantage and I can see why PD nerfed the Supra hp. Still, it should be tuned to about 385hp.

I hadn't driven the Megane Trophy until Wednesday! Two years of GT Sport without driving that car at all. I do like it though and I'll be using it today, I'm pants at Brands and will need all the help I can get :D

Everyones favourite TRL driver back at it. This time taking a corner 37km/h slower than the last lap. Suspicious much..?

Oh that's very calculated indeed! I'd be reporting for that!

Anyone have any tips on strategy for Interlagos this weekend? Medium & Hard are both required. It feels like one stop is the way to go? Also, I'm 99% sure the lobbys I've been in are running the correct settings but you get left with so much fuel in the tank by the end of race. It's basically double what is required?!

I’m debating on one stop or two. Either 7h 5m or maybe 2h 5m 5m. The way I drive I can’t get anymore than 5 laps out of the mediums. Anybody else have any advice?

edit: I’m doing one stop. I lose too much time with two to make it worth it

A pretty surprising 4th place in the end up. I say surprising because I did basically no practice and was very cautious throughout the whole race as a result. Slightly disappointing because I was close to the guy who ended up 3rd and actually had a 2 second lead on him going into the last lap after he'd taken a penalty earlier then spun on the start line right after. 3rd would have been my first ever 100 point finish with the wheel, but I'm stuck with 96. I've also just realised the guy who finished 3rd started 18th, so I'm less disappointed now. A few fine margins either way could have swung it but it's still a much better performance than I was expecting. I also one-stopped on softs - go for the undercut. I pitted on lap 9 which was just a bit more noticeably sketchy than the others.

Has anyone been having problems with their connection? I only have one bar, and I'm not sure why. There's no problems with anything and my ping in Rocket League is normal. Sometimes it dips in GT momentarily before going back up, but it was red for the whole race tonight.

Quite a lot of dumb tonight, particularly from people making last-moment weaves - in braking zones to block, and especially on straights to stop someone with a better run out of a corner. Divots.

Edit: Oh, qualifying is super-dumb. Loads of people not leaving a gap for their own qualy run, just going balls out into slower cars in front, even more trying to continue on an already ruined lap and getting in the way of people of good laps.

With the current penalty system(or lack thereof), that’s when it’s time for Good Will Punting to make an appearance. ;)
I won't make any particular effort to avoid someone who is trying to make it difficult to avoid them. Perhaps if they're trying to get hit and get hit, wasting their race, they may try not to next time.
