Depends on what car you're in/how lucky you get with slipstream. If it's front wheel drive or bad on its tyres you'd need to 1-stop mediums (probably), but a good slipstream could keep you in contention and help a lot with fuel. There also seems to be a pretty significant problem with lag, so maybe you're better off trying to run on your own if you have good pace.
Running an FR car, not really feeling I have the best pace (best practice lap was 16.5, practice run in custom races was consistently low 19s with errors) but I went for a 1 stopper at Lap 13 so may have stretched my stint there
Personally feel it's less risky doing 2 stops then I don't have to worry about tyre wear.
On BB+5 the only wear that caused me trouble was front left which hurts through T2 and the final corner and even then it was 8 laps in on softs with a big slide. Ended stint on L13 at half worn FL, quarter worn everything else. Was also short shifting at Fuel Map 4
EDIT: Managed to crack my practice time, now 16.219, opt. 16.179. Managed to learn how to take T2 much better

What can you say about this..? Did he deserves the win?

2nd attempt I get disconnected after qualifying (that's never happened to me before). First attempt was there for the taking but I ballsed it up all on my own. During the race everyone's connection dropped to 1 bar for half a lap, and then P3 took an unusual approach to the twisty section.

Just checked and my race 1 points have already been replaced with a 0. Hoping my DR and SR aren't affected....

I joined race 1. I got my 9th pole and 10th win after a loooong time, out of 192 races, so quite happy! I was praying when everybody got to 1 bar at some point during the race...

Good luck everyone.

How hard is it to have servers that can handle people playing games on them? The process hasn't changed over the past two and a half years, surely they should know how to do it by now.

It's probably because the game is seeing a huge spike in concurrent players due to being under quarantine

Third disconnect in a row. Everyone got booted out if my lobby.
Not sure if I should even bother at this point. Anyone else off to Race C to get their fix?

*sigh* Another attempt and another disconnect :( Same with the two others I was in a chat with.

Servers are horrendous today
Finding that it's only the FIA races I get kicked out of. Dailies seem fine. Only had one issue in Race C where it showed the cars in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th behind me to be 14th, 15th, and 16th. No idea how that managed to happen but it fixed itself after a couple of laps

When reading this thread I'm apparently not alone in getting disconnected from FIA-races (Manufacturer mostly). Happened to me 5 times now the latest week. Either I disconnect before practicelaps, the time between applying for race and "wating for players" or right now at the 20.40-race I started practicelap and got booted and that was that... Never happened before so this is extremely annoying.
(PS4/Sweden). Nothing wrong with my other onlinegames and I have a stable connection.

Yeah, daily races seem to be fine, but everyone's connection is on 1 bar and a bit laggy, I only did a race A, so wasn't that bad.

Update: Daily races seem to be affected, just got timed out of Race C. Hopefully this is a one off issue.

Also just checked on K', seems like you won't lose DR if a DC happens. Haven't lost any DR so far despite 4 disconnections although this may be because I'm doing a Race C as soon as I get booted out of FIA

Edit: DC'd out of Race B as well. No DR losses. Really annoying as I need 201 more DR to hit A, went up from C last Manu Round. Seems like game is down in terms of racing for the day :/

"Preparing to match. Please wait" for three laps, then the dreaded network error.
I missed the two first races because of family is more important, now the third got disco'ed. I'm not sure I have time for more. And I really felt I could do good on this track.

I am super annoyed with PD for not anticipating the pressure on the servers. A blind bat could see this coming.

According to Kudosprime we were about 30 to 40K a day to race in Sport mode early March. I wouldn't be surprised if we are now double that amount, or even more. I guess they had massive server infrastructure for game launch, and then decreased capacity.
I'm also guessing that a lot of companies, arguably more critical than PD, are competing for server capacity these days... But hopefully PD will be able to find a way. Maybe a temporary quick fix could be 1 or 2 FIA races max per PSN ID?

I mean the stress was there from the first race, unsure if this would help solve any problems

Edit. 4th attempt at an FIA race. 4th disconnect. Again, not really surprised since more and more people will try to get into the same split.
Not going to bother with Split 5 since I know the outcome beforehand lol
