You guys let me know what the cars feel like in this weekends races. I detonated my SR by racing in daily C this friday so won't bother. Will see if the 1pct changes help tha jag:lol::lol:

I may be wrong, but I seem to remember pretty big BOP changes in one of the previous FIA seasons, or both. It simply coincided with a game update.

Mazda put too much riding on the GT3 car. Don't think players will switch just because of it. With really no chance of GR.4 wins or steady top 5s, it'll just be another, "Most picked car". Mainly due to making liveries.

Corvette Gr. 3: no power increase, 1% weight reduction (28 lb or roughly 13 kg for those who don't use Freedom Units to measure things ). It was already a decent car, but should be slightly better now.

Corvette Gr. 4: 1% power increase (4 hp), and 2% weight reduction (59 lb or 27 kg ). My recent gripes with this car are well documented. Hopefully this will at least bring its performance back to where it was before they made the handling update, when it was actually relatively competitive.

I'm pretty sure that's actually the lightest the Gr. 4 car has ever been. Let's see what it does for lap times...
I was actually planning to use the Corvette Gr. 3 for the Nations race this weekend as well, so let's see how much closer it can get to the Peugeot now.

Jaguar had almost identical BoP changes (but no power bump for the Gr. 4 car), so I guess it'll be a race between us to see who can claw our way back from the bottom of the Manufacturer's standings.

The 4C just leapt from 115% to 126% weight... :scared:

I was expecting to be able to change Manufacturers AFTER this season was over, not right now! Wanted to see what the difference in lap times were after BoP update compared to yesterday, before making a decision but you have to pick your Manufacturer again. :grumpy: literally have one day to decide.

Unless I am missing something, the opportunity to change manufacturers is after Part 1 (Round 10) of the series. You can't change yet.

You can change now to allow people to pick the new Mazda. I assume you have until you run your next race to change it. You won't be able to change after that till after the season finishes (round 30)

Go to Sport Mode, Race Entry, and Manufacturer Series. The game, right now, prompts you to choose a manufacturer.

As it stands when you go into the Manufacturers Series right now you have to pick a Manufacturer. So presumably you can do this at any time, but you can't race again until you do.

EDIT Ninja'd by Famine.

Yes so basically pick again now to race tomorrow or sacrifice this and/or next round to test the cars properly

Do you forfeit all points by switching still?

I haven't checked, but the pre-update bumf suggested that switching from any manufacturer to any other manufacturer would lose all of your points to date, while re-signing to the same manufacturer did not - even if you changed which cars you wanted where multiple options wer available.

Thanks! I was kinda hoping that with the unexpected BoP change, that we may get a free pass to change.

So I drive Nissan for two years and after one update that suddenly made the Gr.3 competitive for everyone, it gets nerfed? Fantastic stuff, this.

That sucks man! It’s the opposite for me, every time I switch to a new Manu and start to get used to it, they nerf the better of the 2 cars.

Edit: Well, I guess I better get started on a new livery for the 4C, luckily I’ve got a few ideas in mind.

If you survive Turn 1 at both tracks...

I had 1 easy win at Fuji on Wednesday, but had to fight my way from the back after being spun twice to finish 3rd in the final time slot.

A good launch and sticking to the inside really help with that, less chance of getting sent to the shadow realm.

Even I thought the Gr3 got too good after the physics change. I did give it a quick go at Interlagos last night and I still matched my qualifying PB. Have a feeling people will continue griping while forgetting the Gr4 isn't going to score any big points. That did get a buff but just about everyone else did - some even more than others - so it's a wash at best.
is anyone collecting info on manu team changes? i see a lot of shuffling on twitter.
Not enough time and this season is meaningless anyways. I will stay put, fwiw.
