After seeing l-shooter using it i wanted to try out this car by myself and see if i can beat him with that indirectly :D
L-Shooter used that?! OH MAH GAWD

The world is ending the Gods are now fighting against each other
Speaking of which, I also saw someone use a Renault R.S. 01 on the practice leaderboards. His name was "Lightning-Rain"

Ahh yes, WRX. I jumbled up the cars :dunce:

This is amazing though all the gods are connected on Twitter or GTP

I was in that lobby.... In qualifying I caught and got stuck behind the guy who eventually qualified in front of me. Truth be told best I could've hoped for in qualifying was 12th about half a second quicker than my eventual time which was still several tenths slower than my practice time. I have a lot of miles in the lexus so figured I'd just stick with it. The leaders won by miles but I wasn't focussing on them.

@TRL LIGHTNING Lightning_rain is your Asian PSN? Japan flag?

I was matched with you in the nation race. Followed you during the warming up lap before entering the qualifying session. Just wonder if it is inspired by your name.:lol::lol:

However, PD took away my 2nd chance to “race” with you by a blue screen.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Yeah. Usually i only use this account to have a look on the leaderboards there. But somebody from Japan asked me if i can show them how to drive the wrx fast there. So i tried it out there ^^

Oh man that sucks :(

My national race last night was going great. Started in 3rd, was up to second after jumping up the rear bumpers of 2nd and 1st in the pits. The Hyundai is really good on fuel if anyone was wondering. Got up to second place, and then going into T4, I braked way to late and sent myself into the sand. It was downhill after that. Went off once more, made some small contact with someone as I was defending an inside line and the car understeered. 5 second penalty with 3 laps left. Managed to finish 4th, which was alright, but I was mad at myself for making stupid little mistakes.

The manufacturer race, I qualified in 3rd as well, but was less than 1 tenth of first. Get into the race, and 2nd-5th all have a faster, more consistent pace than the guy in 1st. He's weaving all over the track, trying to keep people behind him. He goes wide into a corner, and I go up the inside. I maintain a very tight line, but he keeps bumping and nudging me from the side, which for whatever reason gives me a 10 ****ING second penalty. After that, he drops back and all the faster, more consistent drivers make their way past him. After my pit stop, I'm behind Sir Weaves-A-Lot again. This time, I just try to make my way past him as quickly as possible and get it done on my out lap. I made a pretty aggressive move going into the final sector, yet another penalty. After that it was a fairly quiet race for me. I set a fastest lap and ended up in 3rd.

I scored some decent points which was nice, but I don't think I'll qualify for a S Dr. rating as I can only do the week day FIA races.

So in the Nations race I was in 5th and I got ran over and shoved after braking so I wouldn't run over 3rd and 4th as they almost wrecked...

For the manufacturer race for me I actually did quite well winning that from the pole. I was actually surprised at how clean of a race it was since i had a couple bad races the couple days before and had a DR reset in a field of nothing but B/B and less. Nations race i started 7th and finished 4th so all in all very good night for me i will take it.

Strange happenings in yesterday's nations qualifying.

I don't know whether the first one was a bug or intended because I went backwards a bit to get into the pits, but the second one is definitely a bug, probably because it reset me to track in front of the line and therefore still thought I was on the first lap and had gone backwards again. Strange how it put me in reverse too. During warmup it wouldn't let me click any option in the lobby screen for about a minute and after leaving the pits it stayed in auto drive for way longer than usual too. So it seemed very glitchy at the time.

Ruined my quali as I only got 1 lap on old tyres putting me 11th but managed to come through and salvage 5th in the end. Could've been better though.

Finally got the videos up. First up is the Nations race. After my first real race with the Renault, it's a nice car. Just wasn't comfortable pushing it at Brands, a common problem I can't seem to fix. Seeing how I gained positions, though, maybe that's a good thing.

As for Manufacturer's, just look at around the 7:00 mark to see how my race completely fell apart. The one mistake I did make was not realizing the Mustang driver was on my outside. Otherwise, the driving standards on display there... I'd rather not say publicly. That's about as nice I can be about it. :indiff:

Oh, and I forgot about the mess at 9:45. I think that sums it up in terms of whether trying a pass there is a good idea.

I suspect the going backwards along the track and into the pit reset was part of the fix for the pitstop bug where people were gaining a lap on the whole field. Notice after the first reset you're still on lap 2, so it actually reset you back a lap. When you tried to pit the next time you were still on lap 2 so it still registered you going backward on the pit straight on that lap so it reset you again.

I've also had the issue in warm up where you can't do anything (although that was back in one of the test seasons). I thought it was going to kick me from the lobby, but there was no issue for qualifying.

On @Tidgney's livestream of the Manufacturers race yesterday it was basically a Top 24 chat

I believe it's intentional. Let's be honest driving backwards on track during qualifying or race would get you kicked out the paddock irl

I waited 2 laps behind these guys waiting for a chance to get past them. Then suddenly a window and I power into the fray for a double overtake!

And for Nations, this pretty much sums it up.

Dang. That's brutal.
Quite unfortunate. I was in that race and it was very good and clean from what i saw.

Started 6th. Made my way to 4th. Dumped it into the wall second to last corner on lap 8 so it pitted to not lose more time on the "straight". Managed to actually make a pass or two to get back to 4th. Leaders had checked out that point and wasn't catching them fast enough.

I was in that race and squeaky clean from my perspective.

Nice to meet you. Can't wait until we have a race completely filled with GTP members!

Brands Hatch, well I have a hate/hate relationship with this track. Had car number 17 which made it even worse. Last in qualy. And 18th in the race. I don't know how. I turned my car into a spinner from the 3 or more times I spun. 300 points. Terrible result. At least it looks like I am not the only one who sucks at this track.

Manu was better, qualified 13 which was bad for the pace I had. Being tokyo, there were some accidents gained a few positions. But got a 10 sec penalty from and accident right in front of me. Lost 9th at the finish line when scrubbing it and finished 10th. 1000 points. Meh.

same thing here, yesterday the Xbow was in daily race if I'm not wrong, it had sport tyres but that is not what made it a flying pig, it's the suspension and serious weight transfer problem imo. In the other hand, after a lot of practice it can be a good race to pick up points.

I'm more concerned about Kyoto in the Nissan. The second and third gear of that car are trying to kill me. The car hates me for some reason. I can't drive it without TC 2

So I'm having a really, really bad nations cup season at the moment. My goal for this season was 4 races with 2000 points, after round 5 I only have one respectable score (1900 at round 1). For the most part it was my own fault due to stupid mistakes. I had pole position at group 1 maggiore and started p2 at brands but in the end I couldn't benefit from my good starting positions. (both starting positions would have been over 2k points :banghead: )
My question: Are the results from season 1 and 2 even important or will it all come down to season 3? (as long as I manage to keep my SS status of course)

To go along with that, can you earn a SS rating from the July season? I didn't do any FIA races in June, but I've been able to do a few this month.
