I read that as we have to keep with the same manufacturer until the start of the official 2019 series, at which point we can change. Essentially we have to stay with the same manufacturer for all the exhibition series'.

Yep. Unfortunately for me, it looks like another abysmal season with the good ole Godzilla!

I saw video by Kie25 and I think you can change it, but there is a catch. You cannot enter any time trial with current manufacturer in the new season. If you already did - then I am sorry... But If you didnt, just go to the new manufacturer and you should be able to sign with them but I havent tried it this season, yet. I want to change too :-)

Oh I do agree. But at least we're only tied in for the exhibition series and not the 2019 series proper (probably).

In Nations series, the track limits are normal which is weird.

I tried changing manu before setting a time and I couldn’t...

You're in the right place. I have a blast competing in Manufacturers with a limited schedule like yours. Last year I finished third for Subaru in the americas with only 45' practice before races so you can have fun and be competitive even without practicing all day.

Just remember that in the FIA races the two most important things are qualy and playing the long game in the race. Don't destroy your tires, don't force a pass, don't put yourself or others in danger. Race smart, race clean, and results will come.

I think it all depends what your DR/SR is and where you qualify. Typically I do find the FIA races to be a bit cleaner because points are on the line. 👍

By and large, yes. The enforced penalty zones certainly seem to help.

Why are they so permissive during top FIA events ??
Taking the chicane this way in the actual FIA manufacturer event will cost you 2 or 3 seconds penalty.

They don't use championship limits on the lan events because they don't want all field to get penalties.

Nations done. Was a sea of GT-Rs. Me and one other RC F had to hold it down.

Started 12th. Finished 10th with a high at lap 8, of 3rd. Pitted from RH to RM on lap 9. Had to top up 1.1 laps of fuel. Back on track in 12th. Passed three cars within the 1.5 laps to go. Clean race bonus payed 107,000 Cr.

Was going to pass on the Manu race. May as well, spin the wheel...

I am. And this car was sloooooooow at Tokyo. I went faster on the RM tyres.

Should have listened to my first mind.

Anyway, penalties, penalties, penalties. You WILL get penalties at that chicane and touching walls and if someone touches you side to side. I was in a battle pack of 6 cars and one after the other got red dunce caps at the esses on around lap 2 or 3. I think this is worse than the Nurb GP penalties. Only the winner and I think one more player, did not incur a penalty. What a stinky race.

I am absolutely furious with that Manufacturer Series race.

Qualified P4, very well could've gone for the pole if I was lucky enough.
Had a good start, until we get to the exit of pit corner and some imbecile punts an SLS, spins out directly in front of me and destroys any chance of running at the front.

Not sure if you are basing this off of last exhibition’s results, but DC is not going to be with Peugot next season.

2 corrections to the article:

Round 4 is held at Autopolis, its on the ingame calendar which never changes mid-season, the car is still TBD however, and is almost certainly Super Formula

I spoke to Toyo in Paris and he told me the Top 16 Superstars race will not offer bonus points, it will have a 1.2x points multiplier (to make up for the 20% missing players points wise) but won't have base points, it will net you the same points as racing on a regular day. Top 16 Superstars this season is merely an opportunity to appear in a fully casted race on the GT TV YouTube channel.
