Boy, the pace on the GT500 Autopolis race is brutal. I can get the pole position with a 1:48 lap, but those front tires on the NSX give out way too quickly and your turn in response is terrible. Those 1:48's turn in to 1:51's pretty easily and Serrano just gets faster and faster as the race goes on. He clocked his fastest lap on lap 9 of the race like his tires aren't experiencing any issues.

Been having fun throwing stock cars into the Nurburgring Tourist event. This Viper pleasantly surprised me at how agile it was and how I couldn't break it loose even at the absolute limit (that 911 was on my tail the entire time).

I love this pic and the Viper's colour, and the filters on the headlights (or maybe that's just the headlights regularly?).

Okay, I had to watch a video on tire conservation methods then retrain myself how to drive. That helped a lot. Actually made the GT500 race at Autopolis fairly easy. Ran mid 1:48’s most laps and a couple low 1:49 laps in traffic at the end of the race. Won by 4 seconds.

Suzuka is definitely possible on pace. I think Spa from what I recall is an absolute mess but Suzuka you can out drive the AI, I was just under a second faster than them per lap from what I recall.
When the weather comes they usually make awful decisions and you can pull off a couple pitstop gaps in from them both pitting too often and staying out too long on dry tyres.
Thanks mate.

A second faster than them with the 2-chilli car is impressive; well-done!

As for your weather tip unfortunately both attempts I made didn't offer sufficient moisture for any of the cars to pit. 1st race completely-dry and the second only made it up to the threshold for IM's so everyone stayed out on what they had.

Thanks again; I and my buddy don't want to waste too many one-opportunity-a-week sessions on this one event... and I'm expecting a similar scenario at Spa too.

Just tinkering around with in-game filter settings. :)

After 300 miles of trial and error, I've created a Power Pack Bump Drafting Daytona setup for the Roadster Shop Rampage Camaro that's perfectly balanced with the opponents. I'll post screenshots after work.

I won last night, completing three laps at Le Mans in the Ford GT40... on my second try, since the 917 had sent me into the gravel at Mulsanne...😡😡😂
I qualified on pole, but was quickly overtaken at the start (they take off like rockets even on a wet track...🤔😂)...

I managed to stay in their slipstream so I could pass them.....they pass you back, but you hold them off with the slipstream.....
and the difference is made between the Porsche curves and the finish line....
and once you’re more than a second ahead, they can’t catch you on the straight.....

There you go.... I maintained my small lead all the way to the end; the goal was to win by driving cleanly, not to open up the biggest possible gap.....

Tonight, off to Daytona with the same car.... it’s not a sure thing....🤔🤔🤔😂😂

And the “2 Chili Peppers” quest is slowly progressing... I've already earned everything without any chili peppers or with just 1 chili pepper; now I have to convert everything to 2 chili peppers...

Have you got a link to the video? :)

Basically, 1) have a very slight coast before applying the brakes for a turn, 2) turn the wheel less (ie. go in to the turn a hair slower than you might normally do), 3) spend more time coasting/steady throttle around the turn than trail braking/getting on the gas through the turn, 4) Downshift later than you normally would while on the brakes, 5) easy application of the gas pedal on corner exit, 6) if the car has brake bias, move it all the way to the rear.

It helped that the video was on Autopolis, which was what I was racing for the GT500 race, but most of this can be applied to any circuit.

Edit: Hopefully this can help some people with the endurance races. Maybe it will help you get a few extra laps out of your tires for every stint. That might save a few extra pit stops along the length of the race.

Wheels are stock, no offset changes.

Anyone know what "Sarah" means with 2 days left notification on the top of the resort main menu?
It is now one day left, and I'm concerned it sounds like something is going to be taken away from us....a deadline of sorts on that side of things....

I'm fairly sure it's just that the information pop up will be there for one more day, and after that it'll go away. PD make strange decisions sometimes but they wouldn't just remove content that isn't specifically laid out as limited time.

No, I don't think so... today the wording under Sarah says "Ending Soon"

and what Sarah is saying is about using your own garage cars in the Power Pack races.
I'm adding this all up and get the answer of that the use of Garage cars is going to be taken away.
Tell me I'm wrong....

Sarah didn’t know we could use garage cars last update.
3. Power Pack
 - It is now possible to use Garage cars;

Weird that the notification is put up for a couple days this update.

Do other PS5 users who don’t have the Power Pack, see that Sarah bubble?

PD just added two new features for players who use garage cars in the Power Pack DLC in this update.
2. Power Pack
  • Added 'Race Shop' to the Quick Menu shown before Practice, Qualifier, and Race when entering with a Garage Car;
  • 'Detailed Settings' can now be selected also in the pit stop menu, under 'Settings' > 'Car Settings' during Practice with a Garage Car.
Why bother if they're deleting that ability (two months after being added) just two days later?

Nearly halfway through Le Mans now, and barely grazed another storm cloud. This race has been dry for so long... I want weather.

Please explain the "Ending Soon" comment below Sarah's head?

Why? What would an off-the-cuff explanation bring to the table to add to the rejection of yours and how would it answer my question?

PD is highly unlikely to go to the trouble of adding more options to enhance Garage car use in the Power Pack in an update two days before removing Garage car use in the Power Pack. They're odd, but they're not pointless-work odd.

My question to you was why would they bother doing that. Your explanation requires that this question is accounted for in order to be considered as an explanation.

Ok i will give answers to both of the questions.

I would not reject any answer given, I was asking why the "ending soon" as it presents the perception that something is ending or going away. Any plausible answer to explain that phrase would not have been rejected.

I do not know why PD would do something like removing a feature shortly after adding it two updates ago.
I agree with you that PD are not this odd in this but what drove me to question it all was that countdown, and the last day phrase of "ending soon". I perceived that something was going away and with Sarah talking about the new option of Garage cars being used in Power Pack races I believed the two things were correlated.
Starting up GT7 and looking over everything I have not seen anything missing in the game (to my relief) and I am still puzzled as to why that (countdown) was there.
I know I can be a bell end at times and I want to thank you for allowing me to voice my view on this (even though I was wrong) and for my explanation

That's not the salient detail of my question.

They added new functionality to that feature in this actual update. It was added in 1.70 on Thursday June 11th. I posted it for you from the patch notes:

The question wasn't "why remove a feature two updates after adding it" but "why would they bother giving new functionality to a feature if they knew they were removing the feature mere days later"?

It'd be a complete waste of effort and, while they do weird and hard to understand things sometimes, they don't gladly spend effort on improving something they're about to delete.

That is what renders your notion unlikely.

I think it’s likely a translation thing and the Sarah avatar giving the hint will disappear. It’s most likely (in my opinion) a new feature that PD are going to use in that Sarah will be there for a few days post update to remind us of something that’s been added
