I'm linking below some of the feedback from others who have run this enduro recently. Summarizing, you should be fine in the long run of you're able to keep your pace.I am on RM. Urra started with mediums and switched to softs for 2nd stint.
I'm not kidding at all when I ask this question: Can you lap the Ring at 8 minutes 20 seconds or less for 24 hours? (give or take b/c rain, pits, etc)
If the answer is yes it doesn't matter at all where you start, what car you drive, or even if you start on the lead lap. You will 100% win this race.
The AI will put a car on pole with a time of between 7:59 and 8:04. Ignore that. The fastest lap they'll run in the race is going to be somewhere around an 8:20-8:30
The rest of the top 5 will also qualify in under 8:10. Ignore them. If you can lap between 8:05-8:15 you can start dead last and be leading by the end of lap 4 (assuming you don't crash). If you maintain that Pace you'll have a lead they can NEVER overcome by the time you make your first pit stop at or around lap 8.
Correct weight. 8:20s will do it.
Indeed. Quali is on softs so nobody should be put-off by those times.
In my race the best times by the AI were shared by several cars, all in the 8:18s.
The times don't need to be anywhere near that fast, at least on mediums.
As you suggested earlier, 8:20s will do it, even starting last. You just gotta keep the car on-the-road and churn out those 8:20s. If you average in the high teens you'll win by at least 10 to 20 mins I reckon.
I pulled an 8:13.1 on the final lap, whole race on the mediums, which was 5s faster than the AI's best.
Great way to finish the race.![]()
Here's where I'm at so far.
Gone with the mediums per every 10 laps however some time back I spotted a big rain cloud on the way, so I switched to softs with the assumption that the rain will pour down before I wear the softs out. That didn't happen. We had a tiny bit of rain filling the rain meter up maybe 1/4 of the way at a couple of points on the track, then it passed. So went back to mediums.
I've spun out to the point the car is facing the wrong way in the grass maybe 4-5 times which is infuriating, but I'm learning the track more to the point where I don't need the minimap to help me gauge whats coming next (yes I'm that bad with the ring).
I expected Drumont to be my nemesis but he started the race on hards and i've not seen him since. I think Lopez is a fast driver, he pitted 1 lap before this image and got mediums, I met him just as he was leaving the pits. Completely lost track of when everyone has pitted so no idea if I have a chance to win. I was hanging with C Roach for some time but he pitted too. Not sure whether to try and pull away from P Urra now or use him for drafting on the straights so we can catch up with everyone else

I know that in some events the zero pepper cars seem to have been buffed, especially in events like The GTi which has seen it's easy mode loaner car HP increased a bit close to 200 HP.@tonidavid5 Like Thétique, I think the new Maj have change something on Power Pack.
The Physic, OK, but a other adjustment perhaps 🤔
If AI lapped 8:04.xxx on RS, it's the same that qualification so it could be very difficult to save a gap 🤨🤔
While I haven't tried any of the +1h long races yet in GT7 Power Pack or ordinary races, I would feel threatened by the AI cars if I only gained 1-2 second every lap, but it would then be very exiting because one bad mistake & I'm 20-30 seconds behind. And would need 10 laps to get 1st place again. I'd like bigger gap to the AI cars to feel like I'm not having 50% chance of loosing.Doing the 8 hours whilst my internets having a mare, as it's not stable enough to do much else other than hold a connection.
Much easier than I thought it'd be.. Qualifying had the AI doing 2:08s, which is faster than I've seen them do anywhere else.

Come race though and I'm about 2s faster per lap, so around an hour in and I've pulled a minute gap after a couple pit cycles, just pitting again now as rain comes in.

Yikes!Seconding what was said earlier about the AI running much faster laps post patch in the Nurb 24, 8:20's will not cut it at all. I have also seen the AI run as low as 8:04 in race on Mediums.
I noticed the other day that in the 2-chilli 4-lap Bathurst race the AI was a bunch quicker than previously.I know that in some events the zero pepper cars seem to have been buffed, especially in events like The GTi which has seen it's easy mode loaner car HP increased a bit close to 200 HP.
Yeah all of those were pre-patch. I haven't seen AI on softs in the race yet even after 2 rounds of pits but I can imagine when they do they'll be in the single digit seconds for an 8 minute lap.In those comments best AI times are 8:18 - 8:20'ish. But now on my race AI laps 8:04 on fastest lap. That is a huge difference. Maybe physics update changed things 🤔 i might try with 2 chili and 0 chili cars also to see how it will go
Why dont you just use the 2 chili car rather than trying to detune your own car to match it?Ended up bailing on that Vette run. By pit #4 lap 32 I had a 3 minute lead and was lapping between 8:09-8:13 and gaining on the AI every lap. There was no way I was losing that race so it got boring. I'm going to try something slower next time
Penalties for ignoring yellow flags were already implemented in the power pack from the beginning. It's basically the only penalty enforcedwell that's new
Preference to use a garage car.Why dont you just use the 2 chili car rather than trying to detune your own car to match it?
interesting, i've never had them - even at le mans 24h where the ai crash a lot at the beginningPenalties for ignoring yellow flags were already implemented in the power pack from the beginning. It's basically the only penalty enforced
I've beaten it with each of the offered DLC cars and decided I wanted to use garage cars moving forward. This was all pre-patch. I enjoyed the Mercedes the most. Best grip, best tire life, absolutely best sounding engine/exhaust note. Why dont you just use the 2 chili car rather than trying to detune your own car to match it?
And also have beaten it with all three DLC cars. That said physics patch change means maybe it's not the same experience as before.Preference to use a garage car.
I've also never had that happen. I really wish the DLC had the same penalty system as the base game does as it totally breaks immersion to be able to corner cut Tetre Rouge or Mulsanne and not get pinged for it. Makes it a lot easier to take the Le Mans chicanes as well.interesting, i've never had them - even at le mans 24h where the ai crash a lot at the beginning
Nor me, never got a single penalty in any of the endurance races. Maybe it did work but it was glitchy and now it's more consistentinteresting, i've never had them - even at le mans 24h where the ai crash a lot at the beginning
