Which trailer? Can you share a link and where exactly you see apricot hill? Also: Was that the/a reason you preordered the game?
It was a find your line trailer. I remember seeing it everywhere. Tons of YouTube videos, people saying they spotted the track.

And no I didn’t base my preorder on that alone. I based preordering going off of what was in GT5 and GT6, assuming it would have that and more. I checked out GT Sport when it came out but it wasn’t for me and there were better racing games then.

So yes, I shouldn’t have assumed the AI wouldn’t be the same old and I shouldn’t have assumed we could share tunes and gift cars.

It was no more or less overt than others shown in the same manner. Not explicit, but all the others have since landed.

Any of y'all out there don't understand this reference, we can't be friends.

I just want to make sure Sony got Disney's approval to use "Power Pack".:sly::cool:

Loved that comic as an early teen.
I had the entire series when it came out. I was sad when they canceled it

Great movie! On the fence about the new though. Back to the subject matter I am happy for Spec III and the Power Pack depending on the price will determine when I get it

I'm lost. I don't see it. Are we talking about a wooshy, squiggly particle line somewhere? Is that what we are counting as "seeing a track in the game"?

I remember people saying they spotted it somewhere pre-release. And even if it is somewhere.. Is Apricot Hill going to fundamentally change the game? Somehow I imagine it won't any more than any other track that has been or will be added.

If Apricot Hill was part of the free Spec 3 update instead of Yas Marina or Gilles Villenueve, and then the Power Pack still cost money.. How is that meaningfully different?

These points of contention continue to look a lot like personal wishes being touted as fundamental must-haves or owed to someone.

(Tiny Off-topic) Anyway, I've been busy playing the game in anticipation, finding stuff to do. Finished up all golds on the normal licenses, moved into the Master set, and now I'm half way through the S license. Some tricky stuff in there. Found a couple random quick Missions to do. Had a thought while looking at the "Dashboard"; has anyone put together like a spreadsheet form that people can fill out and submit and then GTP could look at all that data from it's user base? Or is there a website that's scraping it somehow? I'd be very curious to see that data. Because I assume that data affects the direction of development.

Really want the update/DLC to hit now. Just got phone call to start new job on Dec 1st :(

I don’t think anybody said of apricot hill was in dlc or in spec III everything would be different or acceptable. People were feeling like the dlc was just missing content from the beginning. I mentioned apricot hill since somebody said everything that was in the game wasn’t in any trailers or teaser. My point was that yes people do assume things and preorder or buy the game without doing extensive research on what’s actually in the game. They base it off what they know about previous releases.

I mean look at this DLC, it’s all in writing and it’s still fairly vague as to what we’re actually getting with it. It’s not different with games and looking them up to see if it’s all what you expect.

I think that’s where the issues are coming from, people felt somewhat deceived or in some cases ripped off. I feel a little deceived but that’s my own fault. I haven’t been ripped off because I’ve invested a lot of hours into the game. But I was disappointed in the single player aspect of the game from day one. I think it’s just meh.

I've just watched a superGT video about this and I get the feeling the 50 races added will be missions. Do once and never touch again. I hope I'm wrong.
I don't understand the reasoning behind one time payments for missions. Like maybe they shouldn't be missions?

I would love to run the Miata race again, but even an hour per 1M credits, is not a great use of time. So to do it for free is pointless.

The concept of "Mission" has a very special meaning for me.

Ever since I started playing video games - starting with GT4 - nothing has surpassed the sense of challenge imposed by the missions.

I had the concept of how to drive a race car in my head but I couldn't apply it to the joystick.

So after I learned the basics, I started completing the races, getting the licenses, etc., and I thought I could leave Mission 34 as the final event to complete 100% of the game.

Nürburgring had become my favorite track and the Mercedes SLR my favorite car to drive. It couldn't possibly go wrong. But I was wrong...

On my first attempt I was 40 seconds off...

With great difficulty, I managed to lower the time by 20 seconds, and I declared this mission impossible.

To sum it up, it took me a week to complete the mission.

So when I think of GT4, I think of "Mission," because it was through that mission that I truly understood what it means to drive a car. ;)

Why would e.g. an "All Japan GT Championship" be a mission that you can never touch again? There's not one event that we have seen as being included in the Powerpack content that qualifies as being called a mission. It's either single races or championships. Why wouldn't you be able to play them over and over again? (You maybe only get the gift car once, but who cares?)

You can play missions over and over, but they only pay one time and you don’t get to choose your car.

The fear is that these are one time pay (not play) events with pre selected cars.
