In french, it literally says :
"Once the race is over, you don't get a second chance, exactly like in real races."
Yep the french translation is bad, should read : "Une fois la course lancée, pas de re-démarrage ni de seconde chance. Une véritable course où chaque décision pèse jusqu'au drapeau à damiers".

Which IMHO means that you do practice + qualify + race and if you bean the race, you have to re-do at least from qualify (practice is skippable IIRC).

True, but those parts. Gotta hope they’re available at some point.
You don't need parts to do the livery, if you have the car. But you'd need the car to apply liveries found in showcase.

It’s like the Hakosuka. I made those liveries, but we don’t have the headlight covers and front oil cooler. Now that we do, if someone who hasn’t bought the DLC is still stuck with the “faux” livery. The parts make the difference.

We now have the Supra GT. Many have made the Le Mans Supra using the road car and JGTC car. Now that we have a car even closer to the Le Mans car, it’s more official with those parts. I think adding the parts helps for the realism.

Do you think the parts necessary to their special cars will be available to everyone to use on the regular version and turn them into the special ones ? I doubt it will be the case.

Right. That’s what I’m saying. Making the livery still won’t be correct for those that don’t have the DLC.

I get your point, but in this case, not having those cars is not correct also, but they are part of the DLC so that's logical, that's what PD chose to do. And that's the case with DLCs in general, you get stuff that people who don't buy the DLC don't get.

If the Power Pack icon is hidden behind collector level 9 then how would it work for a completely new player who buys both the base game and the DLC? I would guess that they would be very surprised that their $30 purchase is nowhere to be found.
You cannot buy thr DLC until you achieve level 9. The DLC is only purchasable through the game, after level 9.

Pre-defined cars sucks. Race should have some PP restrictions but other than that, player should have the freedom to use any car that fits the race requirements

Hang on... so I can't go to the Playstation store on my computer and buy it there?

the button on the power pack page leads you to the store but no buying option there, for now at least

Right. I agreed with you saying “True”. I just added the “hope”, but would be from highly unlikely->ain’t gonna happen.

It’s why I was wondering. The purchase button is with the DLC in the pic I posted. However, in-game says it’ll redirect to purchase. So, those that buy the game today or like you, are away from their PlayStation, maybe can purchase from the store, but I don’t know. 🤷‍♂️

It is similar to licenses, missions and CEs, the car choices are made for you by PD, you have to deal with it. At leat there are three cars to chose from that will alter difficulty. I find it an interesting concept.

Pre-defined cars kinda make sense in those special events like Super GT or Rally but like Gr.3 races there should have been a option to use your own car imho - like endurance missions do

Thank you @Lomic and @05XR8

It's all really-confusing to me 'cause I also have a PayPal issue (can't change to new primary "account" at the PS store) and glitchy performance there on my 13-year-old Mac.

Except that makes it too easy, they have done this to ensure a hard close race
My thinking exactly.

They've obviously put a lot of testing into creating 3 tiers of difficulty and I for one think I'm gonna appreciate it.

We custom-race die-hards, well I at least, am pretty-tired of playing PP games in order to create challenging races, which is the main reason I'd like Sophy 3.0 to be a bit quicker than 2.0. Pretty sure @05XR8's in the same camp too.

No. Not according to Famine's article. You purchase the DLC through a link in the game (which only becomes available when level 9 is reached).

This is what's game changing about the DLC. So many of us have spent hours and hours creating good custom races (shh, don't tell Voodoovaj, he thinks he's the only one who's found out it's fun and the rest of the playerbase is too dumb realise its potential), but the time and effort means it's hard for people with normal lives to maintain the enthusiasm for too long. These 50 new races should make it all more accessible and ready-to-go, assuming Sophy 3.0 does the business. Not long till we find out.

So the DLC is not shown in the PS Store (at least not in mine), but only in game?

Never mind....

Indeed mate, indeed.

Fingers crossed...

It's not too easy if they actually put the effort into optimizing the whole game so nothing is OP.

If you have a list of all the car specs and possible upgrades, modern AI tools can analyse all that data and suggest restrictions to the event to make it competitive and fun while allowing for different cars to be used.

The freedom to use different cars (either a heavily upgraded city car or a proper race car) is what made early GT experience so fun.

Yeah, occasionally it would break the game (either player or the CPU opponent would be OP) but now we actually have the tools to minimize such things.

Pre-defined cars is just a lazy way (an excuse) not to optimize anything.

I'm not sure you realise what would be involved in ensuring the game could deal with every possible setup / hack engine swap etc. it just opens up an easy way to finish the power pack which they don't want. The idea is close hard racing like in real life

Power Pack is up on the PS Store.

I can't for the life of me find it in the Aussie PS store.

Any ideas?

Edit: useless post, you can skip it.

My games can't connect after update, it says i "need to update", but the game info shows my game has been updated :irked:
Maybe european server are late compared to other continent?
