The price in the Polish PS Store is 25% higher than the price quoted in dollars. :/
No VAT I guess
That's ridiculous (though at least practice is skippable). On top of that, you can't tune the car in a 1 hour practice session to optimize your ride.
But you don't need to tune the car, the challenge is to beat the game with provided cars and it is a fun challenge.

Tried the Civic 90', did a few laps of practice until I was 1/16, then did quali where I had to fight Gallo and another one but ended up 1st in the end (did not do all quali time, just waited for them to finish, I had a good margin).

On race start VR head position was bad (as often) and with my nose against the center of the wheel (not to this point but far too low and too much forward) I tried to do a trick with the pass-through button but failed to nail the correction, tried another time, not much better, and not sure why, by the time I came back on the track the race had started and I was last on the grid, with gearbox in rear (thanks cancel button = gear down...) so I did my best to catch-up and finished 6th, the 5 fast cars in front where too far ahead once I passed the moving chicanes.

But it was very fun anyway, AI was driving ok and clean.

My concerns are quite different from the above. Sarah says "Oh, a large sailing vessel has arrived at the port. You can compete in Power Pack races from there!"

Sorry, what? I'm trying to understand the internal logic. The races are on the vessel...? Or I have to go out to the vessel to speak to a guy who will allow me to race, and then send me back? Why not just do it by phone or email? Is everyone going back and forth to this vessel? Isn't it a bit cramped with all the players trying to get on board this morning? Why did they send an old vessel? What is the connection to GT racing?

It just doesn't make sense!

Watch your money sail good-bye.

Events are repeatable by the way.

Not completely impressed with Sophy 3.0 to be honest, but I have done exactly 1 event (The GTI in Eiger).

Edit: Ok the skill of Sophy appears to be scalable dependent on the event - some are really hard!

Also a bit sad I couldn’t at least choose my race number.

Yes this giant sail-boat is a bit ridiculous and has no sense. Plus on a maritime aspect it is illogical too. It cannot be under sails and not moving, or moving under sails 50m from pontoon. And it has clearly been modeled by someone who knows very little about sailboats, looks like some AI clumsy drawing.

So my question is do you get anything from the races besides stars? Do you get any in game credits?

"From there' implies that it's the access point, not that the races are actually on the ship.

The fact you need to go there "in person" is probably so you can prove you're not a robot.

There are no other players in the single player universe, so there should be plenty of space for you on that ship.

The connection between an old ship and GT racing is that the term Grand Tour stems from the trips that wealthy young men in Europe made in the 17th to 19th century in order to experience a bit of the cultural legacy of classical Europe.

I'm watching Super GT's stream and the difficulty seems to vary. Some races you're quite a bit quicker, others, it's harder. My early guess is that the grid is unbalanced, performance wise, sometimes, and as such you can get past the slower cars fairly easy.

The Hakosuka one make looked like a great race, Super GT just managed to get the win and got overtaken on the outside of 130R.

So far, it looks like the one makes are good, and events where the AI (possibly at the front end of the grid) have close-matching cars, performance wise, would give close racing in the top 3 based on the fact Super GT, in the slowest available car, lost time to the leader at the Nordschleife.

He did start at the back, but started 24.734 seconds behind at the earliest timing update, and finished 31.764 seconds behind in a one lap race.

The Nordschleife one is probably nigh unwinnable on Hard, the car you're in loses 3-4 seconds every straight because it's so down on power. I'd be impressed to see anyone pull it off cleanly.

But she isn't more challenging or anything, I haven't seen that - you're just slower. It's not fun racing, it's just a sloppy and unbalanced field.

You get credits
Great, so they are not "one and done" like the existing missions and have replay "value". That's much better than what people have been guessing would be the case in this thread for the last 3 months 👍

Not that I have a ps5 (yet)

No, you can't change anything. The menu is entirely greyed out, you can't even see the settings.

There's also only the one livery avaliable per car, which may be obvious but I was hoping for a little choice.
I wonder if they can be tuned after they've been won?

Edit: And whether they can be won more than once (v v doubtful, I know, but liveries innit...) ?

You get credits for racing, and you get credits as a reward on various steps, I think each of the 6 "trees" has a 1 Million credit reward somewhere, and you ticket rewards also, plus special cars.

You get stars depending on your ending position in an event, so if you improve on this event you'll get some a few more stars. If you win said event you get max stars available for the event of course. Once you have enough stars you unlock a reward.

So the Supra GT Road Car costs 3 mil to buy for a second copy...

can someone confirm that power pack dlc can be shared for main account if you buy it with another account on same console?

Removal of aero parts vary that bring it back to stock, except for mirrors. Slim headlights with “Levin” grille.

This is why I say I only car about the cars for this DLC. Thank you, Kaz. Finally got how I wanted the Hakosuka and Hachiroku.

I don't understand it either. It doesn't seem like very good value for some limited single player content. At the same time PD are giving us many many cars and some tracks for free so we can't really complain about it imo. I will buy it eventually. Not really in a rush to play it day one.
I’ll be waiting but then again I may not be playing the game by the time it goes on sale. It’s definitely not intriguing me to buy it. The ONLY thing that tempts me is the race prepped Skyline but I’m certainly not dropping $45 to get it! I wouldn’t even drop $45 for a four pack of Group 5 cars! This looks like it should have been $15 all day long.
$45.59 Canadian with taxes for DLC
Thanks. Then that’s a HARD PASS for me. That’s way too much or some races with preselected cars and by the sounds of it Sophy 3.0 is yet to be determined if any good.

I can confirm it. I share an alternay/primary accounts with my brother and he purchased the original digital copy of GT7 and has bought the DLC also with his account. I have already been able to access the PP DLC with my account (on my console, we don't share consoles). No 5M Cr. for me though (undestandably so :D )

Put the DLC on a wishlist and consider buying it on sale. We need to send a clear message to PD that we want these types of races to be the backbone of GT8 career structure. I agree with you about the pre-selected cars BS (I have elaborated on that in my previous posts here).

Can you use power pack on more than 1 account on the same console or is it locked to the you bought it with?

I have bought the power pack, I'm it clicked on any race yet. How do I receive the 5 Million credits ?

Given that the licences always allow you to access any content installed on any account on any console set as your primary console, the former. If it's set as the licence-holder's primary console.
