I WANT to do the races. I don't care for the rewards.

PD made it so i can't do the races. I have a job and a family which means a) it will take a while to finish such a race and b) I'm not the only one using the console, so the suspend mode doesn't help at all.

Come on, people. I can't be the only one with this pretty standard lifestyle.

The way they went for here is so not ok.

I get that but you aren't missing out on much, its only 4 races out of 50, disassociated from the rest of the campaign.

I don't like missing out on them too but it isn't the end of the world to leave them untouch when theres 46 other races to dig into

Nah, i wanted to experience endurance races and I can't. The decision how they do it is so uncomprehendible, is just don't get this company.

And i was never much of a heavy critic for typical PD quirks.

I know I'm repeating myself but it's the first time I'm calling a move stupid. Much more stupid than putting invitations behind roulette tickets and such things.

heat is constantly taken into account and tyre temperatures matter beyond when it's showing a red outline - that's just when they're actively being cooked. The telemtry is there for all of this, it's just not shown in the game natively

I think so too. If you overwork your tires you will lose grip and spin out. BUT! How incredibly frustrating it is when we have literally no visual in game indication? Even though there’s tire telemetry baked in the UI. Can’t blame people for saying none of it matters when the game doesn’t give you this information even though they have ability to do so.

Well I only just started the power pack. That Civic race was almost worth £25 on its own 😅 finally a full race weekend against fairly quick opposition. Had to be on it the whole race - thoroughly enjoyed.

Hope they expand upon this, though suspect its more likely GT8 market research...

Maybe there's a chance they will patch this up later? Maybe a deadline to respect and not being able to program a save function without bugs in time? Really curious if they will let this unpatched on the long run.

I wouldn't say that they haven't thought about it, but how they would implement it without things in the game breaking, which is probably easier said than done.

It should, emphasis on should, be relatively straight forward. When you suspend the state of the game to the consoles memory, you would just be doing that but to a specific instance of GT7 that would be recalled when the game next boots up. Personally, I would probably have the option limited to when you pit in so you aren't resuming mid grip loss, punt, etc. But it should be relatively straightforward. The functionality exists in the PlayStation firmware already. That's probably what has prompted them not to bother with implementing it specifically in the game though.

I still haven't purchased Onimusha 2 which I want to play which is the same price for a FULL GAME!

Onimusha 2 is 20 years old 🤔 - If you want to play Onimusha 2, do it. What does that have to do with the price of the DLC? That reminds me that I have Ghost of Tsushima that I have to get back to. And, since we're on the topic, where do they get off charging full price for Ghost of Yotei, when I got Ghost of Tsushima for FREE with PS Plus?!! 🤣 (see...see how these are not the same thing?)

I bought a family pack of Sushi and six pack of beer and it was also $40 CDN...and now all I have are four beers, what a rip off.

I use a controller to blow people away online. I enjoy it most when those people have clan tags in their name. Yes, people who are good at the game are generally please with this single player experience that offers a challenge. I'm not sure why that's an issue.

If you like, there's the base "no pepper" level that's accessible to most. You still unlock everything. The extra peppers are just there for bragging rights.

For this price, I expect added tracks and cars.

I think the Nurburgring Tourist race is Kaz's way to get back at all the people complaining about qualifying. 1 lap race but you need to do 2 full laps to qualify and if you skip it, it's impossible even for WT drivers (I've watched some try). Who knows who he was getting back at with the 24 hour races...

Man, the R32 Skyline they give you for the 1000hp races handles like a dump truck, and stops like one too.

The Supra GT they give you for the 500hp races is a very hard lesson in throttle control. Car also sounds like a BMW.

I use controller and just try to get throttle mid revs during the countdown. As you pull away, try not to bog down and just increase throttle. Might have to short shift to second or third depending on car.

I’m really impressed with the DLC, the single player was never a challenge and always a chore by starting last and inevitably passing everyone by the last lap, I get why they do it, so you have some cars to pass on your way to winning 😁 but this is something much more challenging, will help me race when the daily race isn’t to my liking and I’ve done the time trials, but some trophies would have been nice.

I had no issue at all paying the money, especially after those tracks and the new GT3 dropped,

Gotta say I'm absolutely loving the GT6 menu tracks that play in the event select screen. It's been far too long since I've heard some of these.

I am about to find out as i'm about to head off and get some rest, I imagine it would though there's been rare times where my PS5 fails to connect after being on rest and i'm kicked too offline mode; which if that happens i'm not gonna do the event a second time anytime soon.

Game resumes as normal after starting from safe mode, i'll take another screenshot of the car towards the very end of the race as I imagine the accumulation will be very noticeable by then.

I don't think those Emojis are there anymore. Watch SuperGTs stream to see if you like it. But based on value I think it's not worth it. You buy this if you are a fan of Gran Turismo and you want to support the people making it, even if it has flaws. Not really a money decision for me. There's so much crap in the world, honestly, this is a positive on balance.

My god rally is still just so bad.
Like I refuse to believe that the fine people at PD sit down with their own rally mode and think they really have something there.
Does anybody think this is a fun mode for people to play?

While I have obviously not driven a rally car in real life I have played a bunch of rally games and non of them feel remotely as bad as GT7 does.

This is like driving on oiled ice with tires made out of molten butter.

I hope I don’t need to come in first in every power pack event to unlock all the endurance races because there’s just no way I’m driving any rally race more than once.

I don't notice the rubberbanding as much as say the custom races. I won a race by 5 seconds that I accomplished by racing really focussed and steady. In custom races when you have the boost on, AI will lap 2 seconds faster as soon as you take the lead. Didn't see that in the Power Pack.

As always with PD it looks like a half empty glass : extremely good ideas put into it, some things really well executed, and also weird decisions and full blown stupid choices or things that don't work as intended, is it done on purpose so we buy the next thing hoping they came to their senses and begin to make a good use of the wonderful base they built ?

So much useless information... "X laps to go" yes I know, that's already elsewhere in the UI. It also should say that when I'm crossing the line, not when the leader does.

I'm especially annoyed by the messages saying the leader changed. The last moment I need a distraction is when I'm fighting for the lead.
It's broken as well, because you also get that message when you're in the lead and overtake a lapped car.

I noticed the clutch didn’t work when I used the 22’ civic at Dragon Trail Gardens. I’m pretty sure I missed gears in the other races with the older cars, but I can’t remember for sure. My hunch is that some of the cars have got sequential transmission upgrades which render the clutch useless in game before this update. Sure wish we could see some of the tuning they’ve done to these cars

All of cars in Power Pack races have installed „racing gearbox” which work like sequential.

For me its a little downside, really wanted to use clutch in historic races or DTM.
