Not sure if it's just Power Pack exclusive but the AI is ridiculously easy to spin out, like comically easy; but the downside is that it seems easier for the player to spin out aswell hence why my car has/had front end damage.

Of course in true GT7 fashion, after racing for 8 hours and over 900 miles I got a 3 star ticket🤣

Was definitely a fun event but i'm personally not touching the 24 hour events until they add a mid race save option as those I imagine will be much more intense. I'll definitely be doing the JGTC one in the next few days once I unlock it.
Kudos for getting that done. Astonished at that payout, 4mil is absolutely awful for that much time hahahaha, I expected you to get at least 10mil.

Assuming it's consistent, a possible 12mil for a 24hr is quite comical. Sure the going rate for earning at the minute is at least 3x that?

Wait where does this option show up? You are able to leave the event and still play GT7? And does it save your position? If yes to the last 2 then i'll definitely give the 24 hour ones a go sooner than later.
Yup quit the game… Went back in the game went to the race and the option was there… what’s weird though it starts with fresh tires, but the gas matches where you left off also did you see the time clock in the corner?

Definitely works but you gotta do at least 7 laps.. well at least for the Suzuka 6 hour… I did one lap and it didn’t work at first… went back and did 8 laps and it start me on lap 7… with a rolling start it’s like a safety car reset.

Also did you guys see the time clock in the left hand corner? Is that new never see it!

Ooh that clock has strong GT5/6 vibes. Really cool to see it back.

I can’t see this clock - races have always had the race time in the bottom left

I wonder what's the criteria and interval at which the game triggers a Save....
If you recall, did you gain/lose a position during Lap 7? Still wondering it these "Savestates" are time based or are based on in-game events like gaining/losing a position or pitting etc...
It sure doesn't seem like it savestates at each lap though

Glad someone else noticed that too. I accidentally pushed (not bumped) into the rear of an opponent during a corner exit and it was enough to spin the opponent out. I also don't know if this is behavior exists outside the power pack. I like this physics change as it feels more realistic.

In another topic, I am now starting to feel that there is boost after all. But I can't confidently claim whether there is boost or not. In any case, the power pack boost/no-boost is still a huge improvement over existing boost, Sophy 2.1 or normal AI.

Yes I noticed the new clock, thought it was pretty neat as I can't recall seeing it previously; I admittedly may have worded my question abit weirdly, but the question I was asking was can you do anything else when starting back GT7 or are you just dropped back into the race? Like if I start it I can't turn off GT7, come back, do a custom race and then continue the endurance? It'll just throw me right to that continue race menu? I mean either way it's still good to atleast be able to continue without losing progress.

If you see the video, it looks like you can do other things, even start other events in the power pack! But don't take it as 100% confirmation yet.
There's a video on FB below the screenshot in the comments, mid-race saves do look legit.

It's there but in most races on harder difficulties you are so low down on power compared to the AI that it doesn't really matter.
But when I'm being followed closely by the AI they don't seem to be getting any benefit either. I suppose all the cars are slightly different, so it might be underpowered cars behind me in those cases I suppose.

I didn’t quit the race.. I just paused it closed the GT7 app… re open it… went back to the power pack race and the option was there… you can do another race and the option will be there.. It saves your position but give you new tires.. it put me back a lap I think though.

The biggest problem I faced is that sophy is way faster in the race compared to quali, quali is somewhat easy, then you jump in race, start in pole and get absolutely humiliated in the first corners, it's pretty frustrating.

They are v fast at the start anyway, but I've noticed something similar; qualify 2 secs faster than P2, but then in the race two or three AI opponent cars stay v close, battling the whole race, even if you're lapping faster than your qually time.

Very variable difficulty race-to-race too. Some races v difficult, eg FF at Willow (tooth and nail, win by less than a sec, if i win at all), followed by easy race, eg 500hp at Trial Mtn (won by 15 secs once!)

Wellll welllll wellllll....looks like there's a lot of people who need to walk back their hate on the save game feature. EXCELLENT find.

Now, they should have mentioned this somewhere to avoid issue, but GREAT find.

I didn’t find this on my own… Someone posted it on GTP and I just put it to the test.

At this point I just need to know if these Savestates are reliable / frequent enough and I'm sold on the DLC as a whole

Surely, SURELY, if you turned your PS5 off mid endurance it'd boot straight back up to where you left off. SURELY.
In hindsight this might be the wildest correct guess I've ever seen

No B-Spec anywhere? Super GT showed it in his preview video.
B-Spec was never mentioned officially, SuperGT posted a screen grab that had shown a button labeled such and posted a whole lot of OPINION about it and a lot of us were inhaling a lot of hopium about it...

There was a Sophy B-Spec demo at the World Finals in 2024.

I played today and, to be honest, it's hard to describe how frustrated i was. What a missed opportunity! I thought...
I found 2 main problems that completely break the immersion of the "race weekend":
1 - The game doesn't tell you the prize money before each race, and consequently, you can't calculate whether choosing the higher difficulty is worthwhile;
2 - PD, which remains extremely lazy in some aspects, didn't even create fictional racing teams for you to choose from; you only choose the cars, which are the same ones that determine the difficulty, pay the registration fee, and that's it.

In other words, would you enter a race without knowing what's at stake, who you're driving for, and what the team wants in return, such as a percentage of the prize money?

So, finally, where's the immersion in that? I believe that anyone who truly enjoys and follows racing, would have thought better and delivered a more polished product.

The game actually "cheats". I compared my own car in replays with the fastest AI opponent who uses the same car as mine: the AI car accelerates a bit faster and has slightly longer gears. For example: Hyundai Elantra at DT Gardens. When I'm forced to shift up at 200 km/h to avoid the limiter, Myazono can pull it to 206 km/h.

Seems to be quite difficult to balance this. 🤓

The beta version of sophy was the best. It seems it is getting worse and not better
I don't get the people saying this.

The beta version of Sophy was inhumanly fast and literally impossible to beat unless you cheated to get in front and then constantly blocked it for the rest of the race. It was interesting as a proof of concept but completely awful as an actual video game opponent unless you were a GTWS-level super player.

First sophy version was out of this world-like good. Then they toned it down a lot, like a lot, almost becoming another ****** IA (cough, cough regular GT7 events like). The current Sophy is almost the sweet spot for me. I dont agree it is getting worse, 3.0 is faster and has better racecraft than 2.0 and 2.1 Sophy, while not being almost impossible to beat for 90% of the players, like the first one was.

Just did another stop and resume and it works as it did before.. You can play other modes also before going back to the race. You lose a lap also and be careful when you restart the fuel gets represented the lap prior.. I Pitted lap 38 with full fuel, and now I’m screwed because I need to stop for fuel but the safety car has us bunch’s up so I will lose position.
