I assume by some of the comments, the Renault has managed to "Captur" your attention?

Because its essentially a Pro-Touring built resto mod.

Thinking more about the name, you could see a double meaning behind it: Its both references the car it replaced (Which was a "Race Modification") AND reffers to the fact that its a Race- ready Restomod.
Thx to you also! Tbh I have absolutely no knowledge about American car culture.

The new RX-7 gets 6 gears with a custom transmission while the Spirit R stays stuck at 5, so if you're looking to maximise performance from an FD then the '91 honestly might be the better option.

No.

It's a fictional restomod. Nothing legendary about it.
Is the De Tomaso Mangusta (Christian Dior) an exception to that rule? Nothing special about it.

The base car is legendary tho... but just like the Camaro also is.

It was just a livery

The Mangusta CD is not a restomod. It’s just a livery.

A restomod is built from a base classic chassis and fitted with modern gear from chassis, engine(ICE, EV or hybrid), wheels & tyres, transmission and interior.

It's an exception to every rule as far as I can see. It isn't even an actual collectible car...

Why isn't the steering wheel on the left side in the Capture?

The vehicle scanned was a RHD car. It was sold in RHD markets after all.

I have not driven them yet.

Try the 911 GT3R. You can 1 stop with FM1. I will persevere with it, tomorrow.
Mananged to do it with the 296, you using the 911 GT3R on FM1 clued me into using FM2 on the 296. The 911 apparently has better fuel efficiency for some reason, but lap times are just a tad quicker for me in the 296. Hard tires since changing tires takes too much time in this race and mediums fall off bad around lap 9. Actually ran out of fuel on the final straight but had an 11 second lead over Schulze in his Audi so got the win.

I think Schulze held up Serrano in his 911 GT3R for the entire race but I'm not complaining.

The Captur is quite a good drive! And with a wide body kit, slightly lowered suspension and wide slick tires, it looks like quite the track beast  Wish it was lhd though :boggled:
Did the same thing with the Peugeot :grumpy: interestingly though, the 2008 is a UKDM variant whereas the Captur appears to be JDM.

Also, did PD model the car with wheel locks equipped :odd:???

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.68 Now Available: New Cars & Events, Engine Swaps, & Power Pack Tweaks

A first Gran Turismo 7 content update in the game’s fifth year of active support is now available, with the PlayStation 4 and 5 players now able to get their hands on the 1.68 version of the title...
Just to prove I did read the article ;) according to @Famine the Camaro is "almost nine times" the cost of the other two cars.
The Camaro is 1.5m
The other cars are 80k + 30k = 110k
1.5m is NOT nearly nine times 110k...
Not in Base 10 anyway ;)
It's nearly 14 times though...

Even if it was based on the expected cost of 850k I.e. the same as the other restomod, that would be nearly 8 times and not nearly 9 times...

I think your calculator must be broken

Somehow the Captur runs out of power before the RPM bar even starts filling up. Not sure what happened there. Aside from that it actually drives pretty well.

Peak power on the Captur is around 4000 to 5000 RPM, if I recall correctly, so don't rev it out completely. You have to shift early (when the red on the shift bar starts to appear, for the Captur) if you want to stay in the power band.

Can confirm. After I finished the LM700 I realized I actually did my fastest lap at the last one while short shifting to save fuel. And that even was with the high rev turbo equipped.

Absolutely love the Camaro - only gripe is that I wish it was an actual race car so it could get the big fuel tank.

That isn't a thing. The cars* all have the same fuel tank size: 100 litres. It's that racing car engines are more economical on race track duty cycles than road car engines.
