Dissapointing to me, if that wasn't obvious in my initial post but yes, I still appreciate that they are updating the game four years later.
ok, but after 4 years of this kind of updates (with some big updates like SPEC III here and there), what were you expecting ?

Oh sorry I believe that a Porsche safety car will be added in the new update. Another car I'd like to see added would be a foamie hypercar, and I think a Renault Bulli would also be added / Well, I'm not 100% sure if that can really be true, but let's wait and see what kind of picture the Gran Turismo developer posts.
I can't believe you didn't see any Koenigsegg here. Like, a Koenigsegg something, or a Koenigsegg safety car.

From what little I have read on the car , it features "Mild Hybrid Technology". Not sure how that would be replicated or if its even enough feel wise to make a difference.

Question I have though is if this is to be the TCe 140 model as someone mentioned, is whether it will come with the 6 speed Manual or the 7 Speed EDC Automatic.
The CX-30 that is in the game appears to be a mild hybrid too, but the game for its part doesn't treat it as a hybrid car (nor its mild hybrid functionality does anything in-game).

It’s actually laughable at how people are complaining yet we’ve had nearly a race car added in every update… but not the race car I want!!!

Certain group soo despondent about the captur they can’t acknowledge a sports car and race car being added to the game…
The same thing happened on the January update*, where people disliked the update because it didn't have the road car they liked.

I guess some people just can't accept that the cars PD add in the game (road cars and race cars) are not always going to appease them in particular. :indiff:

*Always been like this, to be fair. Not a recent thing, and no matter the type of car(s) added...

Because they can't seem to accept the fact that there are other people who actually likes those cars, and the game itself celebrates the whole automotive industry.

It's always been the "Me me me!" kind of people.

If it's the Camaro Z28 RM, there would be some confusion as to which dealership it belongs to, whether Brand Central (more likely as it is a fictional race car with no model year), or Hagerty because its base model is sold there.

Probably Brand Central same as Civic RM amd Silvia Rm.

It's almost as annoying as gatekeepers who determine we are not allowed to be unhappy with certain cars.

Wishing it would be the Penske/Sunoco Trans-am Camaro, but that would probably be a hell of a hurdle to get scanned and licensed

With the addition of another family SUV, the Renault Captur, I am still saddened to see that PD adds all these cars but does nothing in the game with them. They just exist.

I understand that people like to see their real-life car in the game - I would like that, too. But just having it in the game is only halfway there if you can't really do much with them. In an open world driving game I could just roam around, but GT7 isn't open world.

So racing it is. But these cars naturally are pretty slow and you can't tune them much either, especially the hybrid ones, so racing them feels kind of pointless. You could pit them against each other in a "family car cup", and that's exactly what I am missing in the game.

Sounds more like someone’s suffering a narcissistic injury and “Gatekeepers” is a term used to avoid accepting what’s really going on
I'm not, I'm happy with the update, but why can't people be unhappy with a Captur? the fact that you're going all personal and calling someone a narcissist says more about the sender I'm afraid, no need for that.

The SUV updates are going to continue. These are the cars today's youth are riding in. From new car perspectives, they're the most populated sector in the new car market. So, it's not like a young person that can afford a new car, have the amount of body style choices like a young person from the 1990s.

There are a small amount of B segment hatchbacks. Virtually little to none sedan variants and small wagons are the same. Forget a poverty pack entry level car from Chrysler, Ford and GM.

Yeah, there should be a series for them like real world B-Spec racing: Honda Fit, Mazda2, Chevy Spark/Sonic(?), Fiat 500, MINI.

As they are, just adding RH and maybe lowered suspension is a start. Dress them up in liveries there's fun to be had. Regardless of stock transmission.
With the Capture I think it rivals the number of small B series entry level hatches that aren't (S)CUVs.

I did, but they really lack oomph, which becomes even more obvious with better suspension and tires. Within their own racing series this would be okay. Kei car races are 400 PP max and CH tires and still good fun.

PD doesn't need to reinvent the wheel. Just if they decide to constantly add more family cars to the game, it would be nice if they gave them more purpose via dedicated races.

So then it will be the Camaro SS '69 that was in GT4 and GT6 ?
as we allready have the z28 '69
:)
Very likely but also so hilarious. Z28 to SS is literally a tuning shop upgrade. Its more of a "dublicate" than anything else so far.

Maybe this is a "dublicate special"? FD=Spirit R, SS=Z28 and technically Captur=Qashqai. PDI just cleaned some old drawers and found these duplicates to add. 🤭

Edit: It just came to me - are these all under previous licenses? Cars where they dont need to pay any licensing as they just add new variations? Otherwise doesnt make any sense to go through modelling basically the whole car again inside and outside to add just another version of the same. 🤔

Where are people being shut down for being unhappy? It’s actually just trying to bring sense to the constant ridiculous posts such as this:
Now that you've put the picture up it dose look similar to the hideous Renault.

Shame they don't add more requests cars and for some strange reason keep adding these pretty boring suvs.

I see all the soccer moms hating this post and it fuels me I love it ❤️❤️

If you feel like it’s becoming personal, then you need to go look at yourself. Narcissist injury is literally the behaviour being displayed.

Calling someone a narcissitic is a personal attack, doubling down when someone says it's not needed to insult like that is normal lol. Dont act like that please, not sure why you are so worked up.

Read what I said and google Narcissitc injury before you get yourself all worked up.

I’ve literally described the behaviour of posters with an example of a post and you think that’s an insult…

Probably more smaller tracks like Tsukuba, Goodwood, Brands Hatch Indy and Miyabi would help(Autumn would surely come in handy). I haven't done one, but I might try the CUVs at Barcelona Rallycross. I don't think I have the patience for snow at Geez Louise.

This here is the biggest problem. It’s much less to do with which cars are added, and everything to do with the fact that there’s sometimes nothing to do with them with the toolsets the game offers - despite said toolsets being quite large and wide.

It’s even more annoying because as recently as GT6 cars with CVTs (Demio as an example iirc) could have traditional fixed or custom manual gearboxes installed in their place. That’s not an option in 7, and even if you have a lot of power available to you through upgrades the locked CVT box doesn’t let you get anywhere. I’m surprised there isn’t more available to hybrid and EV powertrains, given in the same game we’re able to ram 6L V8s and 16.4L W16s into cars that normally only hold 2-3L 4 and 6 cylinder engines. Surely depending on the car you could either change the transmission out, or if the hybrid isn’t a driveshaft-based unit, have independent motor and battery systems as performance upgrades.

Many of the SUVs just end up as high-riding heavy slush boxes that can’t get much more than 30-40% more horsepower over their stock output, have little to no special GT Auto options, and are just fundamentally not very utilitarian in the game (which is extremely ironic given the name of the class ). VGTs also have similar issues, but at least they’re fast and (usually) pretty to look at.

I’m not really sure what can be done given the track record of just not really anything changing to make more functionality and connectivity out of content in the game. Think about how long it took to have Group 1 and 2 events added, and the fact that 4 years in, there’s still some track layouts that still aren’t used in any campaign or mission events.
