I don't think it'll make such a difference. True hardcore fans of WRC/NASCAR would buy a game that would allow them to have the full season on. GT doubtfully would have that.

So, yes it can attract some fans of those disciplines to buy GT5 but, most likely, those would've buy it anyway has a generic sim.
