This big delay between versions is very frustrating. As I'm living in Brazil, I gave preference on a north-american PS2 instead of a japanese one. So, the natural choice is wait for an english-text version of GT4. But, in such a big japanese release, such things happen. After all, the translation must be a big pain in the a$$ to do, specially on a title with so many technical aspects. The large scale copying and distribution is also worth mentioning.
But what really pisses me off is the attention that SCEA gives to american releases. There was no Prologue in US and I bet we won't get the beautiful 200+ page reference manual included in the Japan-Korean version. This is just lame.
GT4 launch in US should happen with a real bang, at the Laguna Seca racetrack, with lots of PS2 racing sets running GT4, the presence of the videogame and automobile industry specialists and journalists, race drivers and celebrities, vintage car races happening at the track while a big launch party happens at the paddock. And most and foremost: a huge media presence, to make it a memorable event.
But of course that's not gonna happen. They don't wanna spend money on a simple reference guide... They would spend it on a lauch party?
