i cant wait either, i hope they have a paint editor like TXR3 👍

2 months to go ...
there are lots of custom painting from their screenies
I think they will include paint shop

Genki always make good games. I'm a big fan of tuners from Japan!

This game looks awesome. I really hope that the music in the videos are the actual soundtrack.

never heard of this one before.. is it drifting?

yea I heard about that, but I've never heard of C1 before. Are the highway tracks gonna be like tokyo extreme racer?

Here's a pic that looks like a street/highway course

can modify your own car? is all circuit racing or can u choose to drift?

Yeah, you can change all your power, aero parts (with popular japanese companies like ReAmemiya, Mine's, HKS, all good companies!)

so no drifting? what does the C stand for? circuit?

Yes, i think there is drifting too (check the videos in the official website) and yes C = Circuit.

yes it is out
i pre-ordered it time ago from play-asia and they said it's been shipped today :D
i cant wait...

Yeah my copy shipped today, too... but in my case it should take a week, I didn't order it with UPS just Airmail.... It is sad however that we can't have both : licenced cars and traffic... well I hope they don't forget to release a new Shoutokou Battle in near future... ok then again 2005 is really not the year to complain about a lack of high quality racing games....

im from italy and i choosed airmail too so we should receive it almost at same time, although im not confident at all in italian mail service..
i'm just afraid will be more japanese text than kaido battle 2 so will be more difficult to navigate in the menu..

Got the game, first impressions:

It has lotsa of japanese in it, I hope that this won't stop me from playing.. Kaido battle had definitely more english... Steering, the game supports 900degrees, tho it feels a bit weird with arcadey physics... Engine sounds are decent and music is really cool :) I will come with more info once i play more.. I can answer some questions too ;)

Well My copy will take another week, so here my questions :

- Is the steering like in Kaido Battle, Shutoukou Battle ? If not, why is it different ?
- How many tracks ? Is the C1 as big as in Shutokou Battle 01 or just a smaller part ?
- Traffic option ?
- Are the grafics better than Kaido / Shuokou Battle 01 ? ( the videos I saw were so low res that it looked not very nice...
EDIT : oh and is there a 16:9 mode?
Thanks

The steering in kaido battle with a wheel sucked hard, here its not so bad :) About Shutoukou Battle.. I dunno, havent played that one.

I have just started playing, so I will answer that question later.

- Traffic option ?

Maybe, i haven't seen that option yet. EDIT: I just was in some 'free run' mode, there were people driving, in one direction.. and you could race them, for example, chase a guy and flash him with your headlights. Then in a race you have to avoid other racers who drive normal.

Hmm, Hard to say, graphics are good enough, similar to kaido battle 2.

EDIT : oh and is there a 16:9 mode?

I have no idea, this game is about 90% japanese so its hard for me to understand things in menus.

kamkor : Thank you very much so far, nice that there is traffic... have fun playing and feel free to post if you found out something new  :)

Damm.. I'm being more and more dissapointed :( This game main features is being a 'rpg style' + tuning.. With all in japanese... :indiff:

Could you please specify the problems you have ?

let's hope some 'kind soul' will post a guide on gamefaqs..
and hope next kaido battle will be almost all english as kb2..

kamkor
Exactly.. Way too much of japanese :indiff:

Yeah but why is it a problem ? Do you have to question answers on Japanese to keep the story going or what ? I mean I own maybe 150-200 japanese games and a lot of them do not contain a single English word ... this is not always a problem, you know trial and error and well in the end all games work the same way... so where is the concrete problem? I mean take the car, race, win, tune your car and that's it? Please describe your exact problems....
