People sign up to the wheel only drifting tournament. Mster is gonna start it in 1 week
There's really no point of switching to CM's, PD changes the physics on every patch.
Then again, we havn't had a patch in 3 months.
The point is a much better and more realistic feel what I can now fully claim because I have drifted them for weeks. They feel ALOT better compared to CH. All I had to get used to was a bit more twitchiness what was no problem at all and a bit faster drifting overall.
And this is a fact: The speed differences between cars like for example a Viper SRT10 and a PS13 have become so much smaller.
I was chasing The_kingB_ in his GAUZed Drift JZA80 on a small section on TopGear with my Miata. The forward bite was really good and I was able to stay pretty close all the time until his tires were totally finished off and mine just half down
The only real problem is the big tire wear. But high powered cars smoke their tires down in 3 or 4 section runs too irl. I have read the forum thread about the build of the DriftWorks S15 yesterday. At the first test runs this car killed a set of totally new tires in 3 runs at the Silverstone EDC section.
I prefer the more feel you get through the wheel from CM tyres without being faster & CH just feel too vague when drifting. I see drifting just like you DOM smoothness , style , angle are all more important than speed to me & I know im a lot smoother & take a better line on CM tyres. Each to there own I think im still happy to drift on CH tyres as i now find it ridiculously easy to do after drifting on CM so long.
Just my 2p.
Daigo ruined his tires in one battle last night, one lead and one chase run.
Well, Cm tires are a lot faster. And tbh, i tried using a setup from TTCH, i couldnt match the lines i did on CH, in lower powered cars. I really wished i was allowed to use CH in VDC, to prove the point.
You might prrof the point that you're not able to but not that it's impossible
I will prove its impossible, believe me.
Gotta agree with Lukas. You cant get the same lines because your not gathering enough speed on exits.
GonalesAs i said, **** speed :/ Not everything in this life is about being fastest :s
But without speed you get crappy lines. Same goes for real life too.
GonalesNot really, not necessarily anyway.
Without enough speed for the tire used you get crappy lines. There.
Gonalesbasics of physics tbh :/. ofcourse there is a minimum amount of speed needed to drift, my point being: why increase it? More grip requires more speed. Which is pointless :s
Well if you have a slow car going into battles you going to be dominated cause you won't create a gap and will fall behind when chasing. Common sense.
xGuNzABLaZiNxThat's not entirely true, I've lost to slower cars more then once just because they are slow as hell. Yeah, you can gap then when your car is faster. But you might not be able to follow as well as you might like, which may cause you to loose angle and so on.
In real life its easier to tandem with a slow car cause you can clutch kick after handbrake. I have lost to them too, but faster is better than slower.
xGuNzABLaZiNxYeah I got cha. 👍 I was just saying, sometimes you lose. What I do now that I have the wheel, is brake gas at the same time. Slow mo drift if you will. Works awesome. 👍
SttrobeI wonder if GT6 will be as close to realistic drifting as everybody expects it to be..
Didn't hear anything.oI KRiTiCaLz Ioive heard that theres a drift battle between TEAM BURST vs GRD ?? thats what my mate heard off smokescreen
projects2kNice team, I look up to you guys. You are really friendly and great drifters, cant believe i turned down an offer from you guys a year ago for someone i thought was my friend.
I love when people say, "im going to battle so and so" but the team they want to go against, knows absolutely nothing about it. Haha![]()
oI KRiTiCaLz Ioyou guys should check out trike drifting on youtube
