Could anyone type or make a video tutorial how to set up rFactor properly? And how to mod it.
When I started rFactor for the first time everything seemed weird, the whole menu just everything. I was sitting there for an hour and quit without making any progress....

Btw: Should I create a team thread on LFSdrift.net? There is already a Team Burst but we could call us Illusion Dorifuto. Every Burst member with LFS will be a member there, too.

It takes downloading a few things.

First download and install Real Feel plugin here.

Then download Sai's D1GP mod here.

Then for your wheel's ffb you gotta set it to -(strength) instead of just (strength).

Anyone here know much about computers? Can you find a laptop that will run near 100fps on LFS for under €500? I'm buying a laptop, and want a good enough one while I'm at it.

There is no cheap option when it comes to pc gaming IM afraid, your looking at around 350-500 pound for a mid spec pc. I say pc because laptops are terrible for gaming unless its high end like alienware which is way out of your budget. My advice would be to get a pc and a desk. Ive seen your DIY skill so maybe make your own if your up to it. Getting a pc will mean you need a monitor, I bought my second of this month because my other one broke(my fault not product), its on play.com for £70. Its good for gaming and can handle a decent graphics card. In short buy a pc.

I want a laptop because I wanna be able to bring it places and not just keep it in my room. It will also be used for school work so will need to be easily transported.

I would get a solid 50fps on a factory dell inspiron 6400, so this or anything above is a pass.( its easily portable and can be used almost fir everything) let me know what you find and ill give you my review. Ignore these big retailers, you could find the same thing 30% cheaper elsewhere.

It will overheat nevertheless, because its a laptop. Made for portability, not gaming. Check benchmark reviews for different laptops. Also you might wanna look for one which allows you to upgrade graphic card in future. And look for preferably, dual or quad core processor. And 3GB minimum RAM.

500 pounds is around 600 euro, I want to stay under 500 euro. I can go over, but don't wanna.

How can people have an argument about a thing they actually can only enjoy and that isn't even real life over pages and pages??

Good laptop but its asus, your taking a risk with this one because hardly anyone owns one due to there crappy maintenance but the spec is good. I would advice looking on hotukdeals, cheapest prices all over the net.

LOL That might work for us Lukas. But not everyone has a flexible schedule. I didn't care about 🤬 this season but that's because my schedule is free right now. Working people can't decide when they do and don't practice. Lukas I get your frustration but you have to take into consideration all sides of the debate. That's how you win them 👍

Sure but i'm getting tired of them as well as Steve is. He does so much but gets NOTHING for it, no money or anything and he has a real life that isn't the easiest I suspect.

Steve if you wanna finish the season make it 4 or 5 rounds at max and ignore the never ending complaints.

I'm not getting anything out of this tournament except pure enjoyment, as with everyone competing. I don't care about winning. I've told you every tournament, Lukas, is that I only cared about having epic tandems with skilled drifters like yourself.

I brought up a simple problem, and you guys couldn't take it. I replied respectfully, and used whatever he said as facts. This is a public forum. We are allowed to debate, have opinion, and discuss anything related, in this case drifting. That is what makes us human.

Seeing these arguments with such looong posts over many pages about one silly topic is just facepalm for me. Sorry this is my opinion and not the first time I've seen this. I haven't and I won't call any names because I did this some times too until I recognized how useless it is in most cases.

And at the moment I feel this right here is turning into one of these arguments I just talked about...
I don't reply on these things on the VDC thread anymore and I will stop it here as well.

I agree with how Marcus portrayed his question, it wasn't bitchy nor whining but it was taken out of context and blown up then everyone piled in to the band wagon!. I recommend this because it has 6gb of ram(plenty for lfs). A respectable 15.6 inch screen, its lightweight and compact so its easily carried and wont break. Has a webcam for your gay sex show. Only bad point is that the battery life is only 3 hours. You could carry it in a carry case so you have the charger when you need it too.
