The Roadster TC @ Suzuka East could be fun, but allowing both tuning and any Gr.3 car @ Interlagos seems a bit too overwhelming for me. If tuning was disabled, or it was enabled but limited to a selection of Gr.3 cars, then I may be more interested. It's too bad because I do enjoy Interlagos as a track, otherwise. If, hypothetically, it allowed tuning but only allowed the FIA GT3 cars within Gr.3 (or something like that), then I may be more interested. Or maybe if it allowed only the GTS-original Gr.3 cars, or perhaps the cars that are neither FIA GT3 nor the made-for-game racecars, so stuff like the Porsche 911 RSR and the McLaren F1 GTR.

I'd hope that if there were going to be prizes, they'd have told everyone before it ended. I haven't done any of these yet as they seem totally pointless without the result contributing to something. I still don't understand what is "Sport Mode" about them.

I'm convinced that it's something yet to be disclosed, especially since the online site has no info on this mode yet. I'd also wager that the next FIAGTC event in NYC could potentially have some info - or at least more info on the rumored August 27th update.

Well... see you... Nürburgring...

I figured I'd try to see how far behind I am from Dan, and I'm about .8 behind him. I think there is still .1 in that last section at Suzuka East. Great fun tho, I love this Mazda. It's a classic @EDK CS tires combo 👍

Love it! I did approx 100 laps w the Civic last week, and it’s so much fun competing against others. Weird thing my first set best time was deleted.

Was really happy that the TT came to game. First two weeks was meh, not interested.
This week, miata at suzuka sounded nice, found out that its on CS tyres??? Why? Oh why is this? Race car with road tyres.

Did test thou, had about 45min time and will not bother again

1:01.021 BB-5 (optimum was 1:00.91x)

Will try that Interlagos tomorrow, maybe.

Commented something on the wrong thread, gonna bring it up here:

Such a disappointment that the previous Sport mode Time Trial event ended and we have nothing to show for it. No rewards, not even a "final results" screen, nada. It makes this week's events much less appealing.

Also very upsetting to see BoP gimp the little Mazda: 26% extra weight on a car that is usually delightful to drive exactly because it's so light and nimble. And I'd rather see another short circuit for it, like Tsukuba or Brands Hatch Indy.

However, I am curious to see if the possibility of tuning will change the meta choices for Gr.3 around Interlagos. Can anyone please tell me what was the qualify top ranks like the last time we had this track/class combo? Thanks :)

Totally agree about the Mazda BOP nerfing why mess with perfection?

Here are the last rankings we had for the combo, unfortunately, it does not tell us the cars used.

Great to see time trails back but without end leaderboards it's rather pointless. Hope PD will rectify this quickly.

And bring back drift events as well.
We're trying to do drift seasonals in the drifting forum. This week AE86 at horse thief mile II. It would be better with more participants but we gotta start somewhere.

Out of curiosity I just looked back at the last time we had Gr3 at Interlagos in Sport Mode to compare it to the TT leaderboard. The results are kinda interesting, I thought there would be more difference at the top.

@Pigems
I ran that one for a 32.6.
Lol what’s tuning gonna do for me? I’m not good enough to get the limit out of the car right now.:)
I like that diff cars are competitive, good balanced track that. It’s one of my favorites. I seriously dunno if I will do more laps...The one I ran today was a pb. I looked...

Interesting post
Kind of reinforces how I feel about tuning gr3 cars.. Feels like a lot of effort for little candy. But it's just the beginning they might go way faster in 2 weeks.

I went with the 911 RSR as I had mine tuned already. Nice and stable for this track. Managed a 1:34.5xx or something like it after 10 laps for 1070th place or so. Optimal 1:34.1xx. I'm sure I can hit the 1:33s with this car, but that could be my limit.

Wish I could tune. It would make this more interesting, but I'm also not sure there's that much difference between tuned GR3 cars? Guess We'll find out.

Still a couple of tenths up for grabs but here's my best so far in the Roadster... Great little drive around Suzuka East this one 👍

Will try some tweaking on the Gr.3 cars @ Interlagos tomorrow.. much better events this time around imo

Great lap Ron! I am a quarter second back, it's a fun quick one after the white-knuckle experience of the 911.

Agreed. I have to say I was reminded more than once of GT4's Mission 34 SLR McLaren in the best possible way. Just full concentration for 8+ minutes and steadily, relentlessly increasing levels of pressure. I have not put that level of effort into anything GT for a long time and was happy to end up in the top 150. My only wish is the ability to perform at the same level from the cockpit view instead of bumper cam, it's much more immersive and the sound is so much better! It's a tragedy I can't select this mix from the bumper cam, like I could in GT6.

Yes, there were Mission 34 vibes... I didn't anything else in the GT Sport besides this challenge with Porsche, like I did on Mission 34.
It was 4.220 kilometers to stay in the top 200 and I finished in #164: Mission Accomplished!

Not much difference in times, but I'd wager we wouldn't have an M3 '11 up there if not for tuning being allowed. It's really nice to see some "forgotten" cars at the top ranks!

Edit: I can't grammar.

By the way it would be great if the best tunes did not go to waste, like they could adjust default BoP tunes to have more competitive cars.. Won't happen though.

Yeah, some cars likely just need some fine-tuning to be competitive. PD should really consider making slight suspension/gear ratio adjustments instead of the usual +-1% power/weight change.

Didn’t have a chance to run anymore laps with the 930, partly gave up as I found my wheel to be a big hurdle.

Did a few laps at Interlagos with the RSR, need to work on setup more, but so far 1:31.6xx with a messy lap. I think I can get the RSR under 1:31 with some gearing tweaks but I don’t think the RSR is going to be competitive here it’s lacking straight line speed.

But on the plus side, my F1 rim is perfect for this combo lol.
