Is it actually wrong? This trick is used in Forza as well, to reduce the drag of the front and rear wings, increasing speed. You've got no chance of getting high up on the leaderboard for many speed cameras in FH4 if you don't do this.
I think GT does not calculate drag like that at all. I remember trying extreme ride height opposites on a car with a non adjustable rear wing on a straight line and getting the exact same top speed and it took the same amount of time to reach it too.Yes, it’s very wrong. The Civic has a spoiler, not a wing. A spoiler reduces drag, not increase it. This setup would actually increase drag on a non-aero car because it increases airflow to the high drag area under the car.
If I had to guess, the reason why this negative rake setup works is because you’re allowing for basically no weight transfer to the back of the car, keeping all grip up front, and there clearly being something wrong with the way GT (and Forza) calculates drag as it pertains to ride height. Also, the car would handle like crap setup this way, so any way you slice it, this is all wrong.

are you sure? this was not what I experienced at all, it wasn't this car though.. Ill have to test that againIt's nothing to do with the drag really at these low powered speeds, this is about more rotation. These backward settings are allowing for better/faster cornering. just as it did in GT5/6.
Drag is calculated in the game but is only really noticeable at high/top speeds with high powered cars. Take the Tomahawk X for a run at Route X with level ride height and then these backward ride height settings, it's definitely a few X/ph faster.
Remember also the wheelie glitch in previous games? It's because PD only modelled the downforce as a force vector perpendicular to the car. So when you rake the car forwards (front high, rear low), the downforce vector is now pushing the car forwards and gives exponentially higher top speeds with more speed. Like so F \ <-- R
Tomorrow morning UK timeAren’t the two time trials meant to end/rotate today, too?
Ah, so midnight BST, then?Tomorrow morning UK time
I think 8am BST like the Daily Races on MondaysAh, so midnight BST, then?

Very nice, I'll definitely chuck the Roadster around for a few giggles. Interlagos is a real struggle for me - I absolutely suck at the Senna S, but maybe if I chuck a billion horsepower in something slippery I can get a decent time by just yeeting it... I'm thinking 5.2 camber out front, 4.5 at the back, 60/55/35 diff should do the trick ^.^New time trials are up.
Mazda Touring Car around Suzuka East - no tuning.
Gr.3 around Interlagos - Tuning allowed.
These look much more up my street 👍
No word on rewards for the previous event although I only did the Civic time trial and finished around 2500th, so may not have been eligible for anything anyway.

So is there a new page on the website now?
Sounds about right; hopefully we'll find out before long.Nope, the website still doesn't acknowledge the existence of Time Trials (yet?). The above information is all from in-game.
It's a little frustrating as there's no way of seeing the actual results of the events that have ended. Maybe PD are going to do a news report or something but at the moment there's nothing. Just the two new events.
I think it was 2 weeks and by the end it got longer. I like 2 weeks, what they could do though is add new ones every week so that you got enough time for each but the choice of 4 events at all times. It was that way in GT6.Such a huge leap from Porsche Nordschleife combo to Mazdas at East Suzuka... Well, at least tires are right for the car, but i was expecting something else, more demanding.
Interesting to see will there be any 'shared positions' in top 25 with the exact same lap times.
Didn't GT5/6 rotate TT events weekly? Then closer to the game end, they started updating them every 2nd week?
I think weekly rotation would be just fine.
Nice! Keep pushing!Early top 10 worldwide and first in the US at Suzuka.

Little to no interest for me this week, I was hoping they would use more unusual cars tbh, I do wonder what the Gr3. META will be with tuning...
I'd hope that if there were going to be prizes, they'd have told everyone before it ended. I haven't done any of these yet as they seem totally pointless without the result contributing to something. I still don't understand what is "Sport Mode" about them.My prediction - prizes will be Mileage Points in various amounts, winner gets a spin on the wheel and probably a GT by Citroen.
