Yes but not everyone on here knows every trick in the book about getting money quickly. The best method I know of (as an offline player) is probably the dream car championship or the American gt championship indianapolis race. Using a ford GT Spec II, this gives roughly 100,000 every 4 minutes. Sounds alright until you realise just how expensive these historic racers actually are.

I love the 2D though, very good way to blow 12mil. How do you find it to drive?

The main way I gain money is by doing the Suzuka race in B-Spec Seasonal 3.
20 minutes and I'm up 1,000,019 credits without even doing a thing.
I haven't driven the 2D, the only reason I bought it was because I didn't have it and it wasn't tradable.

a fresh mclaren F1 (left stock) for running around the 'ring. The idea came from this thread https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=214611&highlight=nordschleife+lap+times (Did I think I could beat 'em? No. I just thought I would give it a shot). For some reason I completely ruined my last F1 by upgrading the engine and lightening. Most fun I've had in GT5 for a long, long time.

Finally playing after almost a week. I bought that 4 door Blitz Skyline BNR34 Drift Car and tuned it to be a normal race car. Such a beautiful car just to be raced sideways...

No offense to people who like the drift sport. You already turned many fine machines just so they go sideways trowing smoke out the tires. Now it's time to turn the tables >: )
