Forza Motorsport 6 Garage: Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na, Batmobile!

25-BMW-Motorsport-3.0-CSL

Guten morgen! Or guten abend I suppose, depending on where you are in the world. Gamescom is live now in Germany and for this week’s Garage reveal T10 has looked within the country’s borders. Okay, not entirely – there are a few 2015-spec IndyCars tucked into this week’s list, which eagle-eyed readers might’ve spotted in yesterday’s article, but besides those the German flag is waving. Let’s take a look.

55-BMW-Team-RRL-Z4-GTE

Fans of historic racing need no introduction to the 3.0CSL. Campaigned across the 70s, the CSL won the European Touring Car Championship in 1973, gave others a chance the next year, and then won each subsequent title from 1975 to 1979. It was the first car to wear BMW’s now famous M colour scheme and kicked off their Art Car tradition. With the livery editor present in FM6, you know it’ll only be a matter of time before you see those paint jobs streaking through the Nürburg forests.

The Z4 GTE also arrives this week, continuing on from the success Team RRL had with the M3 GT. It’s joined by numerous GT3-spec racers in the full list, which is as follows:

  • 1973 BMW 2002 Turbo
  • 2012 Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series
  • 2005 BMW M3

Most interesting is are the Indy cars. Most notable is the 850CSi.

FM finally got some open wheelers? Yup, they see what PD has done. Next up… dragsters?

Now that yall got an 850, l’m looking for a 928GT. Who remembers which was faster? ;)

Still not enough to consider the XBOne.

I wonder how many gamers here are on both platforms? I started on a ps3 with prologue, I bought it to play that game, had fun too. Then I bought gt5, had fun, then I got wind of Forza4 and was so interested that I bought a 360, and after getting acclimated to how it played, I had fun! Now on an X1 which I bought for Forza5 then Horizon2 and now Project cars and in a few weeks, Forza6. You may get where this is going, I may like the Gt series, but if I stayed tied to it for whatever reason, I would still be waiting on PD to make up for all the fun I am having with the other games. Forza is a really good series, Project Cars will get there, it already features some things that I feel are superior, but the car selection is meager, than goodness for choices.

The ONLY thing keeping me from an Xbone/Forza 6 combo is my unsupported Fanatec CSR which hilariously features a Forza emblem in the wheel along with an Xbox wireless button.

  4. Swagger897

FM coming out with all this cool stuff and PD be like….

“Well, we could say progress is still continuing for GT7”

    1. Baron Blitz Red

You might be too young to know the Batman theme from the sixties, but I’m pretty sure that’s what he was referring to.
      Cheers

Actually Snaeper, I said “might be” for 1 and that song by Steam is just slightly famous in Montreal, especially during NHL playoff time. Anyone who watches hockey knows that one.
      Cheers

BMW 3.0 CSL?????? Is This post in reference to BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept???? If so,
Hell Yeah…. That will be there 1st “Vision” type car… (could be wrong)

While the list looks good, GT6 already have most on the list. So no biggie for me there.
Let’s see if Forza could even get a program running like “GT Vision” cars….despite interior…Who would have thought of something like this to put in a video game. Pushing Manf. to create something. Much appreciated Kaz….I’ll see you Forza fan boys on GT7 soon…. I’ll betcha

    1. SimTourist

Nah, Forza prefers to give players real cars that they’ve asked for rather than ridge racer prototypes with no cockpits with an irregular schedule.

    2. BrunetPaquet

@Automotive Kaz has confirmed Playstation 2 car models in Gran Turismo 7… Look it up for yourself…

But hey, so long as there’s a livery editor I’m in somehow. Oh wait, if there’s ever a livery editor it’ll only be for premiums.

We’ll have to wait and see. I love creating Maine Coon liveries and etc. on my cars.

    3. BrunetPaquet

      Automotive uses Troll Fail!

      It’s super Effective on SimTourist!
It has no effect on BrunetPaquet!

  6. Manasseh257NSX

All these Car lists and features for Forza is killing me inside as GT has been silent. I’m kinda in the boat on contemplating if I should buy an XBone or not…

  7. BrunetPaquet

So eager… Gonna be patient but DAMN does time go slowly… Gonna be a great game while PD prepares GT7.

  8. sirjim73

In the interests of professionalism, I think you’ve got one too many na’s there lol.
These lists appear very impressive, though I don’t have Forza 4 or Forza 5 to compare the list with and I do wonder how many of these lists are new cars and how many are repeats.

It’s a very clever marketing technique they have here. If this was gt6 they’d have two whole weeks of nothing but Miatas and GTRs lol

    1. E28

The 3.0CSL is affectionately nicknamed the ‘Batmobile’ mostly because of its numerous wings and vents, which the title is referencing.

  9. LfcIceman

Have to admit, it’s pretty impressive, but, I refuse to get drawn into this Forza, XBox thingy, simply because I know Kaz and PD will surprise us and do something crazy with GT7 and the PS4! Pass it on!

    1. E28

Sure, like they surprised and amazed us all with the track creator! Oh wait. Well at least GT5 lived up to all the hype, especially after those delays! Oh…

    2. Rubencho

This will be the 3rd Forza title for XOne while GT fans still have to play with vacuum cleaner sounds in PS3.

    3. TJC_69

Those pics do look awesome … But when GT comes to PS4 it will look even better, on what is undisputedly the more powerful console. That’s not fanboyism before anyone suggests otherwise. It’s technological fact.

    4. BrunetPaquet

Hopefully GT7 will have a livery editor… That’s ALL I want from PD to return to playing Gran Turismo.

Oh and hopefully if there is a livery editor they’ll have the niceness to let us create designs on Standard cars as well… I fear the answer would be “No livery editor at all”

For those wondering why I want that, reason is I got addicted to creating paint jobs on Forza game based on my game’s characters and etc. such as soda cans and chocolate bars along with the character’s face on the hood.

    5. BrunetPaquet

Sorry for double-post… No, my characters are not chocolate bars or soda cans. I mis-phrased the whole explanation. My bad.

    6. FuzzyFassbender

For the life of me I don’t get the fanboy (not pointing fingers, just a general comment) or obsession to a particular product. As a consumer I buy whichever product gives me value or enjoyment. When it comes to gaming, I’ve had most every console or computer/OS to play the various software titles over the years. At any particular point in history I’ve switched/bought whichever product or service appealed to me “regardless” of manufacturer or provider. I don’t continually buy/use the same fuel brand or tires for my car, the same breakfast cereal, the same brand of shoes, the same internet provider, …
PD has provided some very good software over the years just has Turn 10 has, I’ve flip-flopped (or bought both) between the titles depending on which provides a solution for my virtual racing interests. T10, at this point in time, has a great series going, it would be silly “for me” to avoid because of a brand/company – I’m a “consumer”!

    7. BrunetPaquet

Console wars and “Consumer wars” are nothing but wastes of time. If you get dubbed a “Forza Fanboy” like Automotive did a few messages above, then you know that person is one of both or actually both…

When people like Automotive appear, I love to tell them a “I don’t care about you” reply. If they don’t stop I start copy pasting “[Username] uses Troll Fail again! It has no effect on BrunetPaquet! BrunetPaquet uses “Move on to something more interesting than pointless arguing” on himself!” until they get tired and they leave.

  10. Castrol96

Now I want a XBone. GT7 will be released by 2017, you can never believe Kazunori Yamauchi’s promise. We don’t even have a Track Creator yet?

  11. Rallywagon

Ugh, I read that na na na na na as Forza picking on us GT6 players “Nana nana boo boo, we are getting more content than you.”
