GT Sport VR Demo Coming To Insomnia i60 Festival April 14–17

As EU Gran Turismo fans wait patiently for Phase Two of the GT Sport closed beta, those in Britain will be getting their first chance at taking the VR mode of the game for a spin next weekend at Insomnia i60.

The gaming festival is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, and boasts a large lineup of PSVR-enabled games. Gran Turismo Sport is part of the lineup, and as mentioned above, this represents the first opportunity to try the game’s dedicated “VR Tour” mode in the UK.

We haven’t seen much of the virtual reality portion of GT Sport this year. Since last December’s PlayStation Experience, we’ve seen slight changes to the HUD and Tag Heuer has come on board as the official time keeper. We expect to see these improvements reflected in the build on display at Insomnia.

Live nearby and want to take VR for a test drive? Interested parties are encouraged to sign up here for a free demo. That’s slightly misleading however, as i60 tickets start at £25 per day (you can buy them here).

If you’re interested in playing GT Sport in your own home, and haven’t done so yet, you’ll want to sign up here for a chance to join the upcoming Phase Two of the Closed Beta Test Version.

Insomnia i60 runs April 14–17 at the NEC in Birmingham.
