Can’t wait to try those seasonals! That’d be a good way to finish off the weekend. On a side note, we want GT7 now!!! XB1 needs some competition as it stands!

  2. FosterG

I did the intermediate for the chrome paint, did not care too much about the Trans camera even though I won it. At this point I play just long enough to win whatever was up and then shut it off. While there is still some fun in playing it, this game is OLD. I don’t sweat it too much because I play Horizon2, Forza 6 (great game) and to a lesser degree Project Cars, also a nice game, just not enough cars for me. Assetto is coming out for console in a few months, I hope GT7 is really good, and that it gets here soon. If not, there are a growing number of choices.

I like how easy the Intermediate Level Non-Race Car Challenge was. I got gold easily in my ’05 mini cooper s. Super fun!

Nice seasonals. Also great quick matches matches too… Four touring cars to choose from. BMW, M-B, Opel and 2 Audis

  5. VetteZR1

We were told there would be an increase in the number of races and bigger and better prizes when the seasonals went to four weeks. We get three races, a few more credits and a car. No real change. At least PD is constant when it comes to breaking promises.

    1. SVPSkins

LOL!!! I’m not in in denial, I just don’t get why people are so in patient and moan about petty things. just be grateful of what you get.

    2. Hastatus

“Although the frequency of the Seasonal Event updates will be reducing with the above changes, we plan to have more events available at each time with increased prizes, such as more in-game credit rewards and the return of popular Gift cars.” PD

There is no broken promise here, just English grammar that can be easily confused by those who do not pay attention to the syntax. “with” is not the same thing as “and”: i.e. they DO NOT mean ‘MORE events AND more prizes/money’. They simply meant ‘there would be MORE events WITH greater rewards and payouts than the events of the past.’ The proportion of events with prize cars IS significantly increased. The proportion of events with multiple paint chips IS significantly increased. The proportion of events with greater credits IS significantly increased. That there are more people in a city with shorts on in the summer does not mean that the city’s population is greater in the summer than in the winter.

    3. Jbaffoh

Hastasus, you’re banking on PD’s English grammar and punctuation despite their usage of “reducing?”

I ran the legal department of a Japanese multinational for ten years. I’m familiar with the ideosyncrasies of Japanese writing English. They dropped a comma. We interpreted their statement as they meant it. Yet like other things they promised, they have so far failed to follow through.

    4. Jbaffoh

I’m pretty certain “more events available at each time” was meant to be separated from “with” by a comma. Otherwise, they would have said, “but the events will come with greater prizes,” or something to that effect.

    5. Hastatus

@Jbaffoh: The statement they made is perfectly flawless English. If you put a comma before ‘with’ you would create a sentence with improper grammar.
      ‘we’ = subject
      ‘plan to have’ = verb
      ‘more’ = adjective modifying ‘events’
‘events’ = direct object of ‘plan to have’
‘at each time’ = adjectival prepositional phrase modifying ‘events’
‘with greater rewards’ = adjectival prepositional phrase modifying ‘events’
When a noun has two adjectival prepositional phrases modifying it they both follow the noun and are not separated by a comma [e.g. The person on GTP with the username Jbaffoh misread the statement about the seasonals.].
I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but PD did exactly what they wrote they would do. Some of you have not understood what they said because of flawed reading skills.

    6. VetteZR1

Wow. I didn’t know you had to be an English major to figure out what PD is saying. More events means more events than the three we have been getting for almost two years!

    7. Arp 273

Wow, just wow if PD actually meant to confuse us with this statement, implying there would be “more events” while legally saying “more prices” for the same number of events. Who cares about the prices? I’ve been at 50 mil for over 1,5 years now. We would very much like new content; cars, tracks, races, anything. I was still happy playing GT6, waiting for any news or update and doing the seasonals. With this shady practices, not so sure.. We need news soon ™..

    8. TeamCZRRacing

Johnny, so if someone’s happy about something you aren’t, they’re in denial? I thought you respected others’ opinions.

    1. Jbaffoh

“Although the frequency of the Seasonal Events updates will be reducing with the above changes, we plan to have more events available at each time….”

      Another broken promise.

Now I play for 20 minutes every two weeks instead of every week.

And I have no use for credits, cars or paint chips.

I guess I’m done with Kaz and his deception. This game is just not fun anymore.

    1. SVPSkins

Well with the problem PD have had, there back dated with release. The Course makers been one of there biggest problems trying to get the GPS feature to work.

    2. TJC_69

2 years will come and go, and there will STILL be no course creator, chaps. People will someday finally realise this I guess. Also, the VGTs didn’t mention GT6 at all in the releases. So they’re not coming to PS3 also? Combine this with less seasonals and you are left with a game that i’m amazed is still being played. If it wasn’t for online then maybe GT6 would’ve been consigned to history long ago perhaps? And notwithstanding that the online functionality itself is beyond terrible…

GT7 news would be interesting though.

  6. Cesarestevao

Yes, me to still waiting for the Hyundai and Bugatti, can not wait to race them!

Expert Level Race Car Challenge Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, going to make a lot of credits with this race and by the 20 mil. classics race cars!!!!

  7. Z9 Competicione

New seasonal events, right, but where is the new actualization with the Bugatti and the Hyundai??? I won’t be waiting much more

  8. SVPSkins

I put off buying a “1970 Ford Mustang Trans-Cammer” for months and i buy one couple of weeks ago and now its being offered as a prize. grrrr
