Xbox One Forza Motorsport 6 Limited Edition Console & Controller Announced

In celebration of Forza’s 10th anniversary this year, Microsoft have announced a special edition of the Xbox One: the “Forza Motorsport 6 Limited Edition” console. As explained in the video above, it’ll feature a special blue color, inspired by the new game’s cover car, the Ford GT.

To make things a bit more interesting, the console has some automotive-inspired sound effects when you press the start and eject buttons. It comes with a 1TB hard drive and will also include a special new controller, which features “rubberized diamond grips”, and a digital download code for a copy of Forza 6.

It’s currently available to pre-order on Amazon for $399.99 USD, and will be released along with the game on September 15, 2015. The controller will also be available to purchase as a stand-alone accessory, for those who already own an Xbox One.

So t10 finally got la sarthe with rain and night with weather? Gt5 had that 5 years ago, with the nurburgring!

I have been a huge fan of Gran Turismo, but this is make the GT brand look like bad, who in their right mind thought to make a 10th anniversary and it looks like the “experts” of microshift to pull this. This just shows that Microsoft are just desperate just to be competitive with Polyphony Digital, which I give them respect for; but this take the icing on the cake and messing it up to proportions. Also I do agree with the fact they ripoff-ed the 15th anniversary of GT6. The game should be called Fartza MatorSpart 6, makes sense doesn’t it?

Hey, I think they come across as a bit too cute and cool saying “Fortza,” but it is their game and they can have the name pronounced however they want. So, Fortza Motorsportza. ;D

IDK what moves MS to offset their controller buttons that way. Bet they dont’t bother with custom programming them either (four presets don’t count). Oh well, … i dont plan on investing in this console anyways ;)

    Sorry Lefty

That would also imply it sales by the boatloads despite that, so I’m pretty sure that’s not the parallel you were hoping to draw.

It what world did you draw this connection at all? I was contacting Dr. Strange to see if you found it in any other world he said he’d get back to me. The reality we face in comment sections of games is beyond absurd.

Yeah, and you can set up the car in Forza completely wrong, and it will still race pretty well – bonus!

Actually, Johnny, tuning seems to be pretty important in GT6. There are lots of threads devoted to taming cars for instance. Of course since you never play it, you wouldn’t know of such things…

Slightly off-topic but I have the 2013(?) GT Academy theme activated for one of my profiles on the PS3. Those GT5 menu clicks and bells do get kind of annoying after a while.

ildd: Yeah, it sounds really silly.

GT5 Level 41: you mean when you scroll up/down/left/right or press X/O you hear some of GT5 menu SFX? If so then at least it isn’t that bad compared to. That silly start/shut down/eject disc SFX.

I would like to hear it.

    3. GT5 Level 41

yeah, when you scroll through the regular ps3 menu and make selections it replaces the original clicks and tones with GT5 in-game menu sound effects.
