As you know, GT Academy winner Lucas Ordonez has made huge strides in his racing career and is now competing in the 2011 International Le Mans Cup. The series kicks off today with the legendary 12 Hours of Sebring in Florida, and Lucas’ team, Signatech Nissan, are already off to a great start scoring class pole in the LMP2 category!

How about that Signatech Nissan, that Lucas drives, for GT5… and maybe the Sebring track, while PD are at it :-)

@Snippy the F430 didn’t lose to an M3, the driver lost to another driver.
    Anyways nice job Lucas.

Jordan, is it so hard to type a ñ? It’s a basic sign of respect to write someone’s name correctly. If you’re really feeling generous you could use the ó as well.

Yes, it is, Justin. I’ve got no idea how to do it on my Mac, other than copy-and-pasting it from somewhere else. I joked with Lucas about it when I had dinner with him – he said he never bothers to type it either.

I almost gave you directions for the Mac because it’s so easy, but I figured the chance that you had one was low!

For tilde-n you just hold Option and hit n, which puts up a tilde sign, and then you type an n by itself. So, “Opt-n, n”. The key for that accent is Option-e, so you type “Option-e, o”. It’s super easy, and one of the many things I love about Macs. (I also love that Option-Shift-hyphen is an em-dash: — )

Still can’t believe an F430 lost to an M3, although it is nice to know that videogames can get you somewhere in life.

You don’t watch much sports car racing do you?

I don’t watch much, but the good thing is that since I’ve started playing gt5 I’ve started watching some racing. I think Dish Network noticed I’ve been watching since they’ve taken of SPEED last week. It was never included the channel package I had.

the cars are pretty equal to make the class competitive, any good team in any car could win. Only teams that may have a rough time would be the ones with new cars or small budgets.

well I was posting that as they were sitting in pit lane forever. They’re already back in the top ten, and they should be climbing considering how well they have been doing. I’m new to following ALMS, and also Grand-Am rolex series. NASCAR just isn’t doing it for me lol.

If he wins, I will make a petition thread for renaiming all Bobs in Lucas as he is the true and real life first GT5 human bob. Great job so far. Currently watching life stream of Sebring and he is doing a real great job still leading th LMP2 class with his team mates.

He’s a full lap ahead now, they were 3 laps behind with mechanical problems, they just said that Lucas caught them back up and is 1 lap ahead at the moment.

The announcers were just talking about what an experience GT academy is and how it does find good drivers. Go lucas and go playstation! =)

good effort, but it was Soheil Ayari who set the pace, Lucas is far too slow for them to have any impact on the top 3 in LMP2

whats incorrect about what I said? It’s 100% true, Ordonez was the slowest of the 3 by a good second on average, how about you go eat your own privates instead

      Khaddar

It’s 100% true that he’s too slow for them to have any impact on the top 3? I guess three is too high for you to count without assistance.
