I am liking the livery on the Triarsi Competizione car even if the car keeps going backwards.

No rest for the wicked...

This certainly beats watching Scotland trying to play football 😅
At least you get solace in knowing that the Tartans managed to deplete most of the alcohol stocks of every bar in their respective playing venues.

All things considered, that could have been way worse. I haven't seen a door get ripped off like that in a while.

While I always enjoy seeing JDC-Miller in the mix, I find the objective advantage of the 2025-spec Porsche over the 2026 version unjustifiable. The factory Porsches running the upgraded package should at least be able to match the performance of the older model.

Only 30 minutes left and it looks like everyone in GTD and GTD PRO needs to make one more stop

EDIT - #12 Lexus to the lead in GTD

Ending under yellow for good measure.

Congrats to Cadillac, now I wonder if they will have a discussion with race control.
It was still a great race, if you look past the interruptions. I did miss the Valkyrie's V12, though.

That was a chaotic race, but it had some really awesome battles, especially the jdc miller porsche vs the other gtp cars (Kevin Estre and Sheldon Van Der Linde getting "Kevin Estred" by Laurin Heinrich :D)

The new GR does look good but I'm going to miss the old RC F. Still going strong a decade on.

33 cars are expected to race at Mosport next weekend between the LMP2, GTD Pro and GTD classes.

In LMP2, Ricky Taylor will be running in the BHA/PR1 Oreca, subbing for Harry Tincknell, who will be racing at WEC Interlagos 6 Hours that weekend. Ben Hanley will be subbing for Paul di Resta in the #22 United car, while Era Motorsport will be absent from Mosport all together, though no reason has been given.

In the GT Classes, YRB Racing will be moving the former van der Steur Aston Martin Vantage up to GTD Pro, after earning a maiden Podium in the GTD Class at Watkins Glen last time out. Additionally, Roman De Angelis will be filling in for Tom Gamble in the THOR Aston Martin, and Robert Wickens will be running for DXDT as well. That last one is pretty significant, as Robert Wickens missed out on Laguna Seca due to DXDTs equipment hauler catching fire, which destroyed the teams primary IMSA Z06 and most of their equipment, including the custom Bosch hand controls that Wickens uses to race (not-so-fun-fact, the team had to tear apart and re-engineer their SRO GT3 car to make it IMSA compliant for Watkins Glen). However, Bosch was able to put together another set in time for Mosport, so it'll be great to see Wickens behind the wheel again.

BoP Adjustments have also been published for the GTD Classes.

As far as noteworthy adjustments, the Corvette Z06 and Huracan Evo 2 lose 12kg and 13kg of weight respectively, but also result in net loses to power for both cars (the Huracan gains 0.3% in Stage 2 Power, which is arguably negligible). Elsewhere, the Aston Martins are getting a substantial 20KG weight increase, but also gain power in both stages, 2.2% and 2.9%, to be exact. The Temerario loses 3KG in weight and gains 8.2% in Stage 1 Power, and the 911 GT3 R, despite gaining an additional 7kgs, will gain 2.9% in Stage 1 power, making it the only GT3 car that'll be running 100% power in both stages.

Well, we've learned a bit more about the "new" YRB Racing team.

By the sounds of things, all of the personel from van der Steur Racing are still with the team, and Factory Aston Martin driver Hasse-Colt is also part of the organization. The team has plans to run a full-season campaign in GTD Pro next year, although team principal Christopher Deely did confirm that they plan on swapping between GTD and GTD Pro for the remainder of this season, depending on what their driver line-ups looks like for each remaining race.

The details regarding the new owners/investors at the helm of YRB, however, remain a mystery, and that is unlikely to change anytime soon. That being said, the team did buy some shares in the parent entity that owns the Aston Martin F1 Team, so that's an interesting nugget of info.

In other news, Intersport is also absent for Mosport, so there will only be 9 LMP2 cars taking part this weekend.

------------------------------------------------

Y'know, part of the reason why I didn't include drivers in the OP for this season was because of the fact that trying to keep up with and update the OP of last seasons thread as drivers were announced, swapped around, brought in and taken out for each race ended up becoming a royal pain rather quickly.

I thought keeping things limited to just teams and their cars would be easier, and then YRB Racing just comes in out of nowhere, scores a podium at Watkins Glen, and proceeds to throw a spanner my original plans.

54 cars are expected to take part in Road America's inaugural 6 Hour Endurance Race.

For the most part, there's very few significant changes in the entry list this time around. Of note, the #79 JDC-Miller LMP2 is set to return to competition, alongside #18 Era Motorsport and #37 Intersport Orecas, both of which were absent from Mosport last time out. The MEC regulars from the likes of Manthey, RS1, AF Corse and others are set to return to their respective GTD classes. YRB Racing and their "Car Blanche" Aston Martin will return to the GTD category for this event.

The BoP changes for Road America have also been announced.

And this time there's a handy little table courtesy of the IMSA subreddit.

In GTP, the most noteworthy adjustment is the addition of 21 kilos of weight to the championship-leading Cadillac(s). Otherwise, it's relatively light adjustments here-and-there in the class, as well as no changes to the Valkyrie's power and weight from Watkins Glen, though it does loose out a little bit on fuel capacity and refuel rate.

In the GTD classes, the Corvette Z06 gains an additional 15 kilos of weight, making it the 2nd-heaviest GT3 car behind the 911 GT3 R, though the latter will once again be the only GT3 to run 100% power in both stages. Elsewhere, the M4 GT3 gains an additional 6 kilos, while the Aston Martin Vantage and Lamborghini Huracan both lose 15 Kilos from Mosport. Power changes among the GT3 cars seem to be relativley tame, though the Lexus GT3 sees the biggest loss at nearly 4% of Stage 1 power,

On paper, it's looking like BMW and Acura will be the ones to watch in GTP, though I'm sure AXR and Porsche Penske will do their best to be a thorn in those teams' sides. in the GT classes, it's a little bit harder to say. BMW are probably the favorited in GTD Pro, what with Paul Miller Racing currently leading the championship in that class, though the Porsches 100% power may prove useful, with Road America being more of a power track. At the same time, the McLaren of RLL might have a shot at a good result. That team has regualry shown speed this year, so I'm hoping they can finally have a good race from beginning to end this time around. As far as GTD, I'm expecting another good fight between the THOR Aston Martin, the Vasser Sullivan Lexus, and Winward Racings Mercedes.
