I will forever be thankful that John Doonan is often being willing to appear on IMSA Radio during the race. Being the President of IMSA and making time to put his voice out there really does add a candid honesty as one of the most powerful people in endurance racing.

At times there was great racing, but too much carnage...
I think some drivers need to collect "penalty points" or something like that and if they have enough they are not allowed to start. Through the season I heard one name over and over again causing trouble and getting penalties like drive throughs, but nothing "more serious"

Imo, I think IMSA definitely needs to do more to hold drivers to a higher standard on the track. There's a lot of top-level talent in this championship, and when it's on, the racing is phenomenal. At the same time, I get the impression that the reason drivers in all classes are much more willing to go for risker and, in some cases, borderline bone-headed moves is because the consequences, outside of crashing, aren't severe enough to dissuade unnecessarily risky moments during a race, which of course steamrolls into crashes, FCYs, etc.

Going hand-in-hand with that is a desire for IMSA to make changes to how it handles incidents on tracks. They've apparently been looking into "technology" to help with this, which'll hopefully result in the implementation of local yellows/Code 60s and/or a Virtual Safety Car System for incidents that don't necessarily require the full deployment of the Saftey Teams or Track Marshalls.
