An older, aging track, with a lot of "character," is about an hour away from me. I've been there several times, sometimes for 24-hour endurance races. I plan to eventually complete a virtual version of it, and several local drivers, clubs that use the track, my team, and other teams are very interested in having it available for training. I spent four hours walking the track once it was closed after a race. I have almost 500 detailed reference photos, and I've started the modeling. Fortunately it's in a coastal plains area, with very few trees. I really want to finish it for AC, but right now, too much "serious" work going on. Hopefully soon I can "relax" and return to it.

Circuit of the Americas, quite a different "experience" as a track altogether is about 2-1/2 hours away. The speed and "Gs" are very hard on tires, brakes, and suspension components. A lot of teams with "lower-end" track cars often experience mechanical failures after a few hours of racing. Fortunately, there's a pretty good version of it for AC. After spending hours driving the virtual track, it's almost like I'm really there. I know the real track like the back of my hand.

A very fun short tight track based in the harbour of Gothenburg, Sweden.

I'm really stoked that you put out this conversion @norms. Had a 30 lapper this morning on Gothenburg and man, there is a beautiful dance that happens when muscle memory starts kicking in. Really a favorite.

Try hitting enter after you adjust the slider. My settings seem to be staying after that. I think I read that somewhere, and it doesn't make sense in the UI, but....

Thanks, but sadly that does not work either. That's to say, it does work until you leave CM.
Each time you start CM you have to re-assign the buttons again.
Once it's working, it does give you higher fps though.
I hope someone is able to get the settings to save permanently. Until than back to the old version.

Edit: I found a workaround: not letting CM start RHM...
Using a shortcut to start RHM and settings are saved.

Hi! Did you find the solution?
It looks like you have two ini files for this setting. Take a look at assettocorsa\extension\config you have to have only one graphics_adjustments.ini

Same result. Can't play AC. No need to say that I'm in panic!

I had that happen for a while, but mostly trying to repeat the start two or three times took care of the issue. Don't know if it will work for you, but I do hope so...

Yeah I've had this in the past too and I think I solved it by changing the time of day - seems weird but it worked enough times that I put it down to something to do with sol or something like that.
Anything is worth a try though

I had this before when one of the cars in my grid were corrupt or something. Have you tried removing cars from the grid and trying?

also, make sure that there aren't any steam popup windows waiting for your input....

Once I had this, as it turned out - the problem was Steam. It was disconnected, and could not start ... Reinstallation of Steam helped.

Anyone who wants to do track configs have a look at the below programme, AC Track Config Builder, you can quickly assign grass, water lights to any track, not had time to give it a go yet

Pretty good tool. You have to do a little bit of work and it spits out the file. Ingenious and he says he's continuing to update it to do more. Don't know if he did though. Thanks for reminding me to check though.

Edit: He didn't yet, oh well.
