big thank you to everyone involved in the new Bentley, its glorious! Been hitting it a LOT on the discord server and the help and feedback there is awesome as well!Helped me fix the rain tyres settings so I stopped ice skating ;)

Oh yes please, how did you fix those settings to stop ice skating?
 
If you're using content manager you can switch this a bit more easily without unplugging all of your VR by switching the rendering method from "OpenVR" (or Oculus Rift) to "Single Screen" in the video settings. You can even save a preset as "Replay" to make it easier to switch. The reason why you lose controls when changing cameras in VR is because for whatever reason in replays it keeps the controls as if you're in cockpit view, so it's not easy to control in VR.

Just a quick question. How do you save a preset as replay for switching. Many thanks.

FYI - download file for: 13X - AA - Assen 2001 v1.0 by 13X for AC 1.16.4 contains ext_config and 3x camera files, and not the VAO file as stated... no biggy for me but thought you should know in case other members begin to question same...

Edit: Have not checked others...

VAO is already present in v1.0, the cameras file are the same as the originals but fixed in the name, that's why i don't mentioned it

The icing on the cake would be if the plane in the sky was animated.
 
YONGCHENG INTERNATIONAL 2020 REWORKED PROJECT (Ningbo)

Hello everyone,
I had already shared here a Youtube video of the track.
Here is a version still in beta but which allows you to race without any problems on the 2 main layouts (full track and full track with chicane).
These 2 layouts are used for the WTCC, WTCR, Blancpain GT Series Asia and Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.
The other 4 layouts (West, mini East, East and High Speed) are not operational because they need work on the pits, starting grid, ai lines.
Members of GTPlanet have already actively worked on this project, but there is still work to be done, I have very little time with my job so if any modders here are interested in helping us they are welcome and can contact me privately if needed.
This track will not be shared outside of this GTPlanet forum for now as it is a project mainly for members here so please do not share it on Racedepartment !!!!
I'm looking for modders to make the skins and animations of the track : WTCR skins, Blancpain GT Series, sponsors, flags .... to have more realism and immersion.
Thank you all in advance for your help because I am not a modder ;)
I remind you that it is a huge job and that for free !!!!!

Besides animating or removing the plane (as already mentioned), this track really needs a racing groove. Watch videos of races of this track, and the groove is very visible. During the race weekend, I'm sure it's "darkened" during practice and qualifying.

Back up your files before updating. Delete any .bin or pit_lane_with_grid.ai files in ai folders for clean install.

I miss this track being bumpy as heck but it's more raceable now so I accept the tradeoff.
 
Guys I have a few questions about the AO map. I'm trying to generate an AO map via CM and my first question is: do I need to do so for carbon parts and for the skin part or the skin is enough? Second question: if I put the generated AO map in the skin folder then it's applied automatically or I have to use the ao.png and the wire.pgn in Photoshop for the skins with AO?

Saint-Petersburg local race track in Shushari, Russia V1.1 (updated)

Autodrom St. Petersburg in Shushari disctrict (рус: "Шушары") is a multi-purpose training and sports complex and the race track of the same name. The track has the fastest high-speed line in Russia (after Moscow raceway and probbaly new track in St.Petersburg - Igora drive), has a certificate of compliance with international standards.

We made this trach for Assetto Corsa from zero with RTB and 3Dmax. Track is 1:1 to real life size, all corners are identicals and is good for practicing before going there in real life.

Features including this update:

  • We offer 4 configuration: Two are same as in real life - long (3100m) and short (1300m - good for street cars and carting). Two are: speed cirtuit - long weirsion without chicane on the straight. and Super short version.
  • grid and pit boxes for 15 cars
  • excellent made Ai line by LiquidSkyMan
  • GrassFX (rise of FPS in compare to previus vesrion)
  • Working semaphores for all layouts in this version
