Kinda makes me wonder if anyone has made a skin for the track that made it look like how it was during its glory days. that'd be pretty cool :D

It hardly looked any different. There was no tech inspection building and there was a Lowenbrau sign on the bridge on the S/F straight. Oh, and no cell tower off in the distance.

but unfortunately simdream F1 2021 mod is very heavy i have very huge shuttering and CPU 99 % always

anyone else have same problem?? and is there any solution ?

All I can say is I do not have this problem. I just ran a race (single screen) with 10 of these cars at Zandvoort 2020 and the FPS never dropped below 100 and was smooth as silk. I have i7-10700K, RTX 2060 Super, 32G RAM, and most AC settings turned up. I saw someone was blaming the cars for being too high poly, but they have significantly less than the RSS 2021 Hybrid. By the way the braking of these cars is much improved by copying over the RSS brakes.ini settings.

However I believe you are not alone and that others have complained of similar problems. I'm just off to test a full grid.

EDIT: with a full grid, 90-100fps, very low CPU usage.

i drive in VR since years, now with the G2. the resolution in it is crisp as hell.
The Darche is a great car! exept the unfinished dashboard. But it works and therefor a minor issue

texture is 1024*512 and it's fine, much better than regular kunos ones. being on vr also i didn't notice any significant different from 2017 cup

yep redrew them afterwards so theyre better than before, and the page is inspired by footage of the ironforce car that was used on spa for testing, tho i would like to do more it would probably sacrifice the vanilla compatibility
 
Apparently Geroda74 was working on a mod of the 911 Speedster, but I don't know if it was ever released, public or Patreon.

From the back, it looks nice. Not sure about other angles.

strange...

i have the same cpu as you but an rtx 3080 and 32 gb ram. also most settings on ultra or maximum.

RSS 20 cars stable 60 fps ( i set the limit to 60)
Sim Dream 20 cars : Start at Monza 60 fps. first corner 30 fps.

Dont know what that issue is.
all other mods and cars run fine .
You are right about the polys but something has to be messed up in their config or so.

Superb rework thanks a lot !!! you can put maybe the " e tech - honda " logo on the red bull instead the old honda hybrid ?
And just a little question to this mod, the haas and alpha tauri don't have drs wing fonctionnal, its just me or a general bug ?
I have reported on sim dream youtube video launch but no fix yet...

Loch Drummond is a great track but the AC ports are pretty poor compared to the rF2 original. It's a shame more care wasn't taken to map the adboards correctly for better variety and with proper aspect ratios of the artwork maintained, and there's a rocky bank that's just been mapped with a shared grass texture. Bit of a wasted opportunity really. Looks like it was rushed.

Both are a close match and it comes to details and personal preference. I also kept the Chocolate one, mainly because all cars in the parking lot in the Easy version are plain white. On the other hand I get two strange shadows in the Choco version, but that could be due to one of the gazillion settings in CSP/SOL ?

Another small tinker I did very recently is updating the driver position in the Darche Cup. The first thing I noticed that the driver model is kind of short? And the hands clip into the steering wheel while turning which is a turn off for me. Anyway, I borrowed the KSANIM file from the AMG GT3 and it worked pretty well! Now the driver is in place as it should (though it is not perfect, I think this is much better than what came in the box).

Ugh thank you so much for this! We can't fix the horribly narrow display but turns out the midget driver was easily fixable. Thanks again!

You only have a gazillion settings in your CSP, you got robbed! :lol::lol::lol:

Talking about settings, is there one of those settings to adjust rain and wiper sound or is it down to adjust it per car using the extension folder of a particular car?

since maybe two or three days I noticed that some cars are suddenly loading with the wrong skin (not the skin I selected before loading). The only thing I remember changing, was tht I installed the new content manager version that was released lately.

Very strange. Anyone experiencing the same effect? Maybe someone can point me in the right direction for fixing this!?

I started reducing the font sizes in digital_instruments.ini but unless there's a way to hot-reload the changes in-game it is a pita to get all the readings aligned properly...

Problem seems to be solved. Reinstalled/Update Sol and CSP and (re)downloaded all car textures under settings. :-)
