I didn't really feel like doing skins for the Formula 70... But it was taking other people too damn long to come out with a decent Tyrrell, and so I decided to work on my own package, fully compatible with both variants of the car and including driver helmets, crew skins and suits. I think I may do Peterson's car next... But then, I also have to finish working on the 1967 replica package for PG's Heat Mk1.

Does anyone know how to make the ai cars use 100% turbo boost whilst racing in a field full of Kunos' Lotus 98T(or any turbo-equipped) cars? I know in reality they ran with around 60/70% of the maximum total engine boost, but if I can use 100%, they should be able to as well in short races with minimal damage. It's too tempting and easy to just turn the boost up and pass easily.

I tried to figure that out to no avail. Thought maybe there was a Turbo setting in the ai_hints.ini, but nope. Maybe if the ai was created with a car using 100% turbo?

Idk though, & i haven't tried using the turbo function unless im doing drift runs with a WDT drift car, which does help me drift. If you were refering to the default cars, then i haven't tried it either.

Hey guys just wondering if anyone knows if there is a fix to a slight issue I have.

In the driving menus the text is very small on my 4k screen which makes changes to car settings etc difficult for my old eyes.
I found a setting within the original launcher settings (something along the lines of "force windows resolution" ) which fixed the issue in the main menus but hasn't changed the driving menus.

Am I overlooking a setting somewhere in the original launcher or CM?

Any advice would be great, thanks Shaun.

While not solving the problem of the "crazy dolls"... version one of the Ferrari 312T3 ( 1978 ) came out, end of the season, different rear spoiler from the beginning of 1978.

1978 had some gorgeous cars, and the turbo renault on its second season. Awesome content you chose. Any plans for other cars so far?

Hi, just a quickie. I notice on the new Formula RSS 1970 V8 that it is not possible to access material properties via CM Showroom. It appears that access to the material editor has somehow been 'locked away' for this particular model. I've not seen this before. Other cars have three vertical dots where the red circle is in the figure below.

The shader parameters can be accessed in game however, through Objects Inspector.

Am I missing something obvious here? If done intentionally, why do you think they would bother?

It's because the car is encrypted. You'll need to use CSP via ext_config.ini file to adjust the shader properties.

Can someone tell me what makes a track appear in darkness, when the time is set to noon or daytime (and needs to be adjusted to 9pm or midnight to have sunlight. Tried copying geotags from a track that works... that's not it. Rare these days, but I can't see what's different about these dark tracks. Does someone have a quick fix? (other than adjust to a wrong time (current annoying track: Suzuka 1992 - V1.1 Rainmaker)

Agreed, that's what threw me. No problem unpacking data but it appears the kn5 itself may be somehow protected(?). I have never seen this behavior before. The only possible encryption I see manifests as an inability to change shader parameters through CM Showroom. I wonder if its possible to open the kn5 with 3DSimEd? I'm suspect maybe no. I don't currently have it so can't test.

With regard to encryption of the RSS 1970 V8, I'll answer my own query. 3DSimEd crashes when I try to open the kn5. Can anyone else please confirm?

You can't use cm to fix transparency, you need to set transparent to "true" in kseditor

anyone know why my laptimes don't get saved? they should remain both in best and personal, but they don't and I cannot see the delta while I come back to the server or the single player session with the same combo

I don't particularly want to 'do' anything on it. I stumbled across the lack of access to shader parameters because I was curious as to why it looked like an injection moulded children's toy, rather than a 1970's race car. I was considering making some more realistic skins for it but I'm not really keen to spend time and energy on it now.

What I find slightly saddening is the change in philosophy from RSS. I'm not aware of them ever encrypting mods before. RSS have every right to protect their IP, but it likely means this model will die with AC (and/or RSS) when the time comes. Oh well.

Does the car or track has upper case letters in the file name ? If yes, that's causing it. (which goes for single player, I don't know if it's the same on a server).
