What I'm finding most confusing these days is trying to sort out tracks that have had multiple configs/skins done for them by multiple modders - and often months or even years apart! You never know what each new config has or hasn't got from other config files, what's conflicting with what, etc. For that reason, I much prefer 'new builds with new names'. Then you can try each one individually and keep your favourite.

Either way, it's ultimately your call!

I think it's only "128 instead of 32 pitboxes" and the 1934 layout. Their focus seems to be mainly online racing, less on aesthetics?
Of course the point at which they forked it has bearing.
Also, and only somewhat related, Spa 1970 in AMS2 has spoilt me for good :)
Thanks for the replies. Since the THR version has the added 1934 layout, I think I will do a full new track based on that version and fix a lot of the missing collision physics. I need to get permission to use it from the THR guys.

That's because you produce pretty updates quicker than my kid gives me the opportunity to try them :P

Will try this one as soon as I can!
Thank you. I do what I can.

First little problem with using THR's as a base for a new track version. Since it's for online use, there's no files for the ai. I could steal the ones from spa_1966 for the 66 layout, but the 34 layout would be ai-less (not sure that's a word). And i'm such a terrible driver that i'm not the guy to record ai lines. Will have to think about this one. Maybe I should just use spa_1966 as the base.

At the moment, I'm a completely offline driver, so I vote for the version with AI. Speaking of AI, make sure you have Parrilla's superb improvements here: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/spa-1966-ai-fix-faster.53083/

Makes it one of the best offline circuits for vintage racing

It looks like there's a problem with this exact skin on the newest non-preview CSP version (0.1.79). My game is crashing on loading when using it. Can anyone confirm? It seems to load fine on 0.1.78. It's a Kunos skin so everyone has it.

Hello there, first post here, I hope my message will not be unappropriate. I have a request : anyone for decent versions of Gran Turismo mythic tracks ?
Grand Valley Speedway
Trial Mountain
Apricot Hill
Seattle
Special Stage route 5
Twin ring Motegi
Circuito de la Sierra
Mid Field Raceway

I know many of them already exist, but many are quite old and not really beautiful compared to some wonderful tracks.

Thanks for your consideration !

You'll find the existing ones on @Breathe track list (list is mentioned in his signature).
There's a excellent Twin Ring Motegi paid version (Mitja Bonca, URD).
Circuito de la Sierra doesn't exist (yet) in AC.

I'm a fool. There is ai for the THR version. I was looking in the wrong folder for the ai directory. So I can go ahead as planned. Need a good name for the track\track folder though. Any suggestions?

Is there any way to make the track-side TV displays, show the camera ini file of your choice?
Can I direct them to cameras_3.ini for example, so that they only show that camera set?

Hi guys... Is there a way to change the AI qualifying/race ratio?

I mean: in some circuit i'm too fast for the AI in the race... in others in the qualy... there's a way to fix for every circuit?

I remember in the old Race07 there was a way...

Thank you sooo much if you can help me!

rjm_spa_1966 ?

Historic Spa 66.
rjm_spa_1966 works for the track folder. For the ui file, i'd like to come up with something that starts with Spa so that it lines up in the CM track list with all the other Spa track versions out there, not just the 1966 ones. Or maybe using something totally different Like Historic Spa would avoid any confusion.

Things are progressing nicely and rather quickly. I could possibly have a drivable version ready by this evening or tomorrow. Got the clock worked out which was the only thing I had left to do when it was just going to be a mod to the existing tracks. Now I just need to remake the kn5's with the collision physics and it's pretty much done. Of course, I still have to find a way to get in touch with someone from THR to ask for permission. Don't know who's involved with them to ask.
Really awesome long belgian road course nineteensixtysix
You get a like for that being funny...

I'm doing some tweaks to the recent Hungaroring_ACC track privately for @AGR based on his suggestions and videos of the 2022 race. Adding and removing some trees and trying to get more accurate grass textures based on the videos I watched. I'd like to put this out there for anyone who might be interested, but I don't know if that's not cool to do since the original track maker might be working on improving it. Is this kind of thing frowned upon here? I.E., messing around with someone's work and making it public. Don't want to get a bad reputation.

Too many people to quote so i'll just respond to all of them. Thanks for the opinions. I was unaware that it's been 3 years since any kind of update. I'd say it's safe to release updates publicly. I also didn't know who did the track to begin with to reach out to them. It doesn't list an author in CM and I got the track directly from a Mega or Sharemods link so no name was attached to it.

@CrisT86 I did miss that you were updating the track. Sorry about that. I think it's the second time I did that to you. I'm going to have to pay closer attention. Merging the work would be great because there's nothing worse than 10 different updates floating around. I haven't done anything special though. All i've done is remove the pines in turn 1 and add some distant trees because it looked to barren off in the distance. I also made some small changes to the grassfx more to my liking and a couple of grass skins. If you've done that kind of stuff already, no need for you to add my stuff. I'll just sit back and wait until you are done and enjoy the improvements. If you want to see what i've done and use anything you like, let me know and i'll package everything up and get it to you.

I did just finish one other thing, but it sounds like you did it already. I did the flag lights and some generic track light settings, but they could be done better. Tough track for making night lights. A lot of the objects are in the same meshes so it's difficult to get alignment right. Offset the light direction for one area and it throws off another area.
