The point isn't that I want to hide my physics. It is okay that somebody can look into them. I just encrypted the car that the original link has the latest version of the car, so that there aren't multiple versions with the same name..
And I can't do more then other GT3 Car mods out there or ks cars?

If you know the right person, you can get real data of the car: from aeromaps to damper luts you can get anything.
All my cars use cphys with at least damper luts.
Camaro, Gallardo and Corvette have aeromaps in addition to that😉
Thats why I can do more then the other gt3 mods out there except for the bk Audi R8.
Well yeah anybody else can do that too but idk if they want to ask manufacturers for their data for a Single mod.
I just want the best for the community and the cars

Fair enough, i already said i was using yours as an example as it was recent. I also have3 said i have no beef with encryption.
Ultimately i always end up getting rounded on, its fine you don't know me i don't know you.
Its the wild west in AC.
People do what they have to do, I get it, but in the end models are everywhere and anything that carries a price tag will get chucked out there for free.
Ilija makes money from no license for using kunos base game despite Reiza having to pay for madness engine.
Kunos are fine as 8 years later it out sells about everything sim road based.
Regardless CSP and CM are the game version of a ripped model.
It's literally there everyday telling you its ok to take stuff, its no biggy.

I don't and will never care about doing whatever i like with personal (or private if you prefer) mods.
Nothing anyone can do about that, it would be like JK Rowling finding out I changed Harry Potter to Hairy Pratter when i read it to my kids and suing me.....

So I was right, you used URD tyres but OK you asked them for it, ok fair enough.
But i wasn't wrong was i?
You encrypt data but its fruitless for anyone who knows a bit about modding to get the data, so my point was, what's the point?
GT3 cars are GT3 cars and they don't differ much in real life so I'd guess a decent GT3 mods data can happily fit into most cars.
You can't be doing much more that any of the current GT3 mods or even kunos cars can do.

I won't be doing a Bentley GT3 car and even if i did I'd do it to prove a point one how easy it is to make your own and use encrypted data.

For what its worth i liked the drive i had in yours, you did get dragged into the encryption topic as yours was most relevant.
I do actually apologise for that, it was lazy to use that one example and i meant no personal malice.

Having said all of that, any idea what URD could even do if i made a personal mod using their physics?
I mean considering Turn 10 don't seem to care about tonnes of their hard work being in AC?
Do URD have a bigger legal team than Turn 10?

I can do what i like with any of my games thanks, i don't release stuff let alone try to sell it. So politely, do one.

youve been warned, we know how to handle such cases. simply cause kunos doesnt care doesnt mean we wont care either. isnt like you worked your ass off testing physics to match irl counterparts. all you say is basically i could do this and that, in the end nothing happens. seems like there is no value behind your word besides "i hope nothing will happen" since you asked so often what we can do. the usage is strictly forbidden for anyone not granted permission, such as chem got and we dont care if its private or not, in the end the outcome is the same, you take something youre not allowed to. you also totally seem to ignore every fact stated as soon as you read encrypted, its his damn decission to encrypt model work on a car, the port or scratch parts. better think twice what you will say in the future and dont blame yourself again for half knowledge. cause thats quite embarrasing what you demonstrated here xD

Your observations are not exclusive to GTP. There are cliques on RD, facebook, discord, etc. Thus is life, so just do what makes you happy and with those that you enjoy being around. Speculating on how others feel (e.g. how can you prove jealously?) is likely not helping the situation.

Le Mans 1967

Le Mans 1967 v1.0

This is my take on the le_grand_circuit_1967 track done by Terra21 and updated by WooChoo and Virtua_LM. All credit for the track goes to those guys. I simply added some CSP features and altered a few textures\meshes to give it a look I prefer. It is a standalone track so as not to mess with the original and will come up as Le Mans 1967 in your track list. If you have a preferred ai you use with the original track, just copy it over to this version if you decide to use this. I'm not sure which ai version the track currently has right now because I was swapping out different versions.

Additions:

-- Seasonal changes.
-- Animated flags.
-- Animated CSP smoke in the fall and winter.

-- Slightly altered grass textures to fit my eye better. Three versions for this you can try if you want with a simple ext_config edit. Towards the bottom of the config is a section named Grass Look. There are two [SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...] sections for the GRASS_A_MUD material that you can set Active or Inactive to slightly change the look. If you set them both to ACTIVE=0, the grass will be much greener and more saturated. The two alternatives give a progressively more brown tint. I like having the second one set active, which is how it is by default. You can monkey around with the ambient and diffuse values to get a brightness you prefer.

-- Reworked sand areas to give them some character and eliminate the monotonous look. I took some creative liberties with this so it's not 100% accurate to the real track at that time. There are two ways you can have the sand areas look on the Mulsanne Straight. By default it has more green grass than it probably should, but it helps to break up the look. The second way has less grass and more of a brown tint. To enable the alternate version, open up the models.ini file and in the [MODEL_2] section, change the line that reads FILE=le_grand_circuit_1967_terrain.kn5 to FILE=le_grand_circuit_1967_terrain2.kn5.

-- New pine trees texture. This one has some faults because the trunks don't quite line up with the uv mapping correctly. The original pine tree texture had slightly curved trunks. Mine doesn't so you can see some double trunks in spots if you are really looking for them. It doesn't bother me, but if it does for you, just disable the Trees track skin.
-- The Misc track skin doesn't need to be enabled. It's a skin created by Instevs36 that I got from RD that I use at times. As mentioned, the Trees track skin can be disabled as well, but always leave the Terrain skin enabled.

Update to version 1.0. Final version for now. I may revisit it in the future. Everything is packaged together, including the 54 pit optional layouts.

-- New ext_config and replay cams created by @CrisT86 with improved track lighting for night races. He did other things as well, but I couldn't tell you what they are. I just know it looks good. Thank you @CrisT86.
-- Some minor tweaks to correct a few floating trees and very small adjustments to some material values. Nothing I think anyone will pick up on.

You have admitted that the Bentley is from ACC including the physics, so the modder is on far more shaky ground including URD who are part of it via signing off on the tyres.
How you can moralise when you rip from ACC is laughable.
You just talk dribble, URD can't even stop sites giving their stuff away for free, this literal thread has ACC cars and track rips being shared, this is GTplanet as in Gran Turismo, which has people sharing out GT rips again of tracks and cars.
And nothing, happens.

To be clear then, the chap with the Bentley he ripped from ACC including its physics, he said "The rest of the physics is ACC based....." so then locks away the ripped model and ripped physic's...
And gets his gang involved in calling out others who might dare to go into the data file of the ripped mod.....
Actual wow. Just beyond anything before and I've seen a lot on here...

Whole thread devoted to messing with cars and tracks and somehow everyone is quiet and I'm the bad one.....

I showed my reason for the encryption multiple times and you still say that I want to lock them away..
I JUST want that the car has 1 version with all bug fixes in it, not 5 fixed addon files for the car all over the internet

And why do you want to send 505 games an email?
I mean GTP ripped the mod too as well as many others.
The only reason why AC is still alive are Mod conversions out of other games.

All the while the car we are talking about is ripped from ACC.

In fairness you have been nothing be polite and courteous.

as lost as your other friend, i stated that solely for the urd content used here. if you cant read that between the lines, shouldnt even comment in the first place. he got perms to use them and thats what matters, not where the car is, which origin it has or some other ass pulled bs you come up with. chem is doing his thing what and how he likes to, he helps me in my doing aswell, both on acc ports and urd mods. doesnt matter which circumstance, he got perms to use that stuff no matter what, or where beeing used.

90 percent of AC users won't go all detective like a modder can.
Same as when i went into Tommy 78's sierra RS500 mod recently to take some bits for my RS500 PCars conversion.....
Guess what...... Tommy's is PCars RS500.
OK so he did some stuff to it, but he claims scratch made I believe and charges money.

Tommy's mods are not worth any money anyway. That's just cements it even more. Hell, even for free they're not that great. Not to mention, that I always had a feeling that his mods are not 100% scratch made.

You didn't followed the subject, do you ?
Lets wrap it up quickly :
Modding (in general) = barely legal, for many different reasons. Has become more and more tolerated/accepted/endorsed by game companies for the gain in popularity and longevity of their products. Still on the line, many lawsuits, rarely in the modders favor.
Converting = definitely illegal, on a copyright property side especially, would be still tolerated on a private side, a little less on a public side.
Selling = without a permit for the sell and a licence for the copyright, absolutely illegal, straight to jail, not even a need for a lawsuit in 99% of the countries in the world. And it's the same for Patreon paywares, except a little more countries are not "on the page" on that (I'm looking at you, Ireland)
Encrypting = definitely illegal if the content (and I mean, ALL of it) is not your property in the first place, because it trigger the concept of ownership and copyrighting. Not in the legal form, but on the moral form. That's what is so "hated" about encryption, it's the nature of it, the meaning of the action. Defendable in the face of a jury, maybe, but that's all.

So, coming here, aggressively threatening someone on his action and defending yourself on a "he got perms to use that stuff" (good for him) while talking about a encrypted conversion... I mean... I cannot be the only one laughting.

I apologize if you felt attacked, that wasn't the point. The point was : will you start to understand how grotesque this is becoming ?

Just stop, take it easy, apologize to Safi for the aggressivity and keep on going. We, as a whole, have the right to desagree with each other on the use of a tool and explaining why. It's a debate. And if after that you and Chem keep on encrypting your content, good for you, get on with it, you're free. That wont stop us to enjoy your creations, and thanking you for it.

You threaten me about URD, and say i take stuff that's not mine to take....whilst you take ACC models etc.

The difference with me is that i don't threaten people for daring to use a mod I've released.
That would be the definition of dumb....
